“Amy was wonderful! She dropped in to feed our little dog and keep him company while we were away, and everything went perfectly. He’s an easy guy—just needs a meal, a tummy rub, and some companionship—and Amy took great care of him. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup. Highly recommend Amy!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 15 years of dog walking and sitting experience. I’ve worked for a professional dog-walking company, leading both neighborhood walks and adventurous hikes. I’ve also cared for my own dog with epilepsy, giving medication three times a day and providing gentle, patient care. We’re a warm, loving little family who adore all kinds of animals. I live with my husband and our 4-year-old son, who was born into a home with a cat and dog and has grown up loving animals and nature. At home, we don’t currently have a dog or cat, just fishes and a frog 🐠🐸. After losing our beloved dog, we haven’t been ready to adopt another one, which means your pup will get all the love and attention they deserve while staying with us! I can care for your dog at your home or mine, in any weather, for walks, hikes, playtime, or full-time sitting. I can also provide care for cats while you’re away. Your furry friends will be treated with love, patience, and plenty of attention — maybe even spoiled just a little. 😉 I currently work only 2–3 hours a day during weekdays, so I have plenty of free time to care for your little one. I’m flexible on weekends as well, which means I can easily adjust my schedule for walks, playtime, or drop-in visits. Your furry baby will always get my full attention and care. I completely understand how it feels to miss your little one when you’re away — I’ve been there too. That’s why I’ll keep you updated with frequent photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I have had been around dogs since I was a baby! My family calls me Dr. Doolittle because I've always been so good with animals. I have taken care of animals overnight for almost 8 years for family, friends, and coworkers. If preferred, I love to bring them along on hikes and runs or just give them the cuddles they well deserve. I am a full-time student but am fully remote! This gives me plenty of free time and availability to give potty breaks, go on walks, hikes, runs, or just spend some quality time with your doggo. At others' homes, I am very respectful and considerate of people's boundaries and treat the home with full respect. I am there to keep your dogs company and show them love until you get back.
About: I’ve always had a huge heart for animals since I was a kid. I treat pets as if they were my own and respect their space when needed. I’ve worked with different such as livestock (horses, goats, sheep, cows) and your typical domesticated pet. I currently don’t have any pets of my own, so having the opportunity to watch someone else’s pet brings me tremendous joy. I currently work full time at a vet hospital Tuesday-Saturdays so it is really nice to be able to come home after work to something warm and fluffy. While in a clients home I always check out the home first so I can feel comfortable and see all possible exits. For pets to gain my trust I always let them sniff me first and treat them as if they were mine. I give them space when they need it. I have high respect for an owners home as well and treat it as if it were my home.
“We just moved to the Bay Area and had been very concerned about finding the right care for our Rottweiler, Sheba. We are so happy and relieved to have come across this app, and even more so having found Mitchell! He is truly exceptional. He took the time to walk us through what to expect during our first booking, was patient getting to know Sheba, and the specifics regarding her care instructions. We highly recommend Mitchell for your pet care!”

“We booked a sitter through Rover for the first time for a long time period and were a little nervous about leaving Missy alone, but Xiaoyu was absolutely wonderful. From the very beginning, she made sure Missy felt comfortable, loved, and well cared for. Xiaoyu followed all the instructions we discussed and truly went above and beyond to make sure Missy didn’t miss us. After just a few visits, it was clear that Missy looked forward to seeing her, which gave us so much peace of mind. I would highly recommend Xiaoyu to anyone looking for a dedicated, trustworthy, and caring sitter—and a true friend—for their fur baby. 🐾💛”

“Christina communicates well setting up and during drop-in visits. I know what is happening in detail. She took good care of my fur babies making sure they had playtime, love and eating well.”

“Emily is a great catsitter & my cat was very comfortable with her. Emily took care every detail and was communicative with updates, photos, and even a video. My kitty is in good hands with Emily!”

“Ping was great with RB. She’s very kind and gentle. Her pup Cherry is also very sweet and well behaved. I think it’s a bonus for RB to have canine company. Ping sent photos, was able to accommodate last minute request and very responsive. Thanks Ping and Cherry!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I've been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. Our 5 children have grown and living on their own, so I currently have my sweet 2 dogs, Chica & Luna, who keep life fun, active, and full of love. In addition to my experience with pets, I've taught preschool and first grade, where safety, patience, and attentive care were always top priorities. I offer dog walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and can comfortably administer oral medications when needed. I truly enjoy caring for pets of all personalities, whether they're social and energetic, calm and relaxed, or a little nervous and shy. With a gentle demeanor and a strong understanding of animal body language, I take the time to build trust and help every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. During my first year of retirement, pet care fits naturally into my flexible schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care while enjoying creating fine art on the side. I provide attentive care for pets in their own home, helping maintain their normal routine, comfort, and security. I can assist with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, oral medications, and keeping pets happy and relaxed while their owners are away.

About: Hi! My name is Renee, and my passion for animal care began with my rescue dog, Brownie. Over the past 3 years, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and even goats & farm animals of all ages, temperaments, and care needs. I have experience with: • Puppies, senior dogs, kittens, and multi-pet households • Large dogs (80+ lbs) and working breeds • Rescue dogs and reactive dogs • Administering oral medications Some of my previous pet care experience includes: • Caring for a Shiba Inu requiring oral medication for 1.5 months • Dog sitting 4 dogs from the same household for 3 weeks • Caring for 2 cats and 1 kitten from the same household for 1 month • Walking, jogging and hiking with dogs • Volunteering with Furry Friends Rescue and Muttville Senior Dog Rescue I’m especially comfortable working with rescue and reactive dogs. My own dog has reactivity challenges, so I understand the importance of patience and picking up on body language before a reaction happens. While I’m not a certified trainer, I’m happy to reinforce any training methods or routines you already use with your dog. My approach to pet care is centered around respect for each animal’s individual personality and boundaries. I prioritize clear communication and provide frequent updates and photos so owners feel informed and reassured while they’re away. I love meeting new dogs and cats and learning about their quirks, and I hope to meet your furry friend(s) soon! I understand my profile is new, so I don’t have as many testimonials. I have done work exchanges in the past on Workaway and WWOOF, and have attached those reviews as screenshots. You can also request references from me. I will be fully available for the entire month of August 2026 for any of your pet care needs, including drop-ins, walks, and overnight care. I take the time to get to know each dog by asking lots of questions and observing their personality and play style. I love playing with dogs, my own dog often mistakes me for one because I match his energy! Working with reactive dogs has taught me that every dog has their own boundaries and unique personality. I never treat one dog the same as another and am always respectful of your pet’s limits.

About: I have owned dogs since I was 10 years old and cats since the mid 1970's. I have cared for, fed, walked, played with not only my own, but for friends and neighbors as well. I'm currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to walk and care for your pets. Mid-mornings to early afternoons some days, all day on other days. I am currently not available to care for your pets in my home due to having 3 dogs and 2 cats already. Anything can change in the future though.

About: I’ve been lucky to care for dogs, cats, and bunnies through every stage of life, from playful puppies and kittens to sweet senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’ve also pet sat for others for extended periods of time, including 4 to 6 weeks at a time, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets and home in someone else’s hands. I care for each pet like they’re part of my own family. I take the time to learn their routine, personality, likes, dislikes, and comfort level so they feel safe, loved, and understood while you’re away. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, all dog sizes, and pets who need medication or a little extra attention. Whether your pet is playful and energetic, shy and cautious, cuddly, independent, or in their senior years, I’ll meet them where they are with patience, kindness, and lots of love. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and never alone. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my day. I’m happy to make time for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting based on your pet’s needs. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and companionship. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel comfortable and connected while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I know it can feel stressful to leave your pet in someone else’s care, so I do everything I can to make the experience as smooth and reassuring as possible for both you and your pet. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll follow your instructions closely and maintain their normal routine as much as possible. Whether that includes feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, litter box care, cuddle time, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure their needs are met with patience and attention. I understand that pets thrive on consistency, and keeping their routine familiar helps them feel secure while you’re away. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual personality and comfort level. Some pets love lots of interaction and play, while others prefer a calmer approach and need time to build trust. I’m happy to adapt my care to what makes your pet feel most comfortable and relaxed. Safety is extremely important to me. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, harnesses, and home access, and I always double-check that pets are secure before entering or leaving the home. I also pay attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, or anything else that may be important, and I’ll communicate with you promptly if I notice any concerns. I’ll treat your home with the same respect and care that I would want someone to show my own. You can also expect regular updates and photos so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. My goal is for you to return to a happy, comfortable pet and have complete peace of mind knowing they were cared for with kindness, responsibility, and genuine affection.

About: Our own furbabies are reactive so I definitely know the struggles of finding someone who understands! I’ve learned a lot of knowledge from our trainer and am very detail oriented/structured when it comes to providing care! I currently work full time but am looking for another source of income when I am free! I am a teacher so I have breaks off when the children do, and have plenty of weekends off as well for date nights, vacations, etc! I only provide pet care in clients home, as boarding in my own home would cause stress to our reactive dogs. Open to learning and sticking to your schedule as much as possible so your furbaby doesn’t experience too much of a drastic change without you there!
Verona cat parents share their Rover experiences
Amy was incredible! She took such great care of my cat and home. She really went above and beyond to ensure my cat was well taken care of. I would absolutely recommend her and I am already talking about my next booking with her. Thank you again, Amy you are amazing.

We had an amazing experience with Jifeng while she cared for our four cats. She was calm, gentle, and incredibly attentive to all of their needs. Even our shy kitties warmed up to her. It was clear they felt comfortable and safe with her, and that gave us complete peace of mind. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book her again.
