I could not have been happier with Tatyana's care of my cats during my 8-day vacation. I am a very nervous traveler, largely due to worries about the pets, and Tatyana really helped me have a great trip. She spent quality time playing with the boys on each visit and provided full reports, including photos and videos. It was a great experience and I can't recommend her highly enough.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I've been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. Our 5 children have grown and living on their own, so I currently have my sweet 2 dogs, Chica & Luna, who keep life fun, active, and full of love. In addition to my experience with pets, I've taught preschool and first grade, where safety, patience, and attentive care were always top priorities. I offer dog walks, drop-in visits, house sitting (no overnights), and can comfortably administer oral medications when needed. I truly enjoy caring for pets of all personalities, whether they're social and energetic, calm and relaxed, or a little nervous and shy. With a gentle demeanor and a strong understanding of animal body language, I take the time to build trust and help every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. During my first year of retirement, pet care fits naturally into my flexible schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care all day (no overnights). I provide attentive care for pets in their own home, helping maintain their normal routine, comfort, and security. I can assist with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, oral medications, and keeping pets happy and relaxed while their owners are away.

We booked a sitter through Rover for the first time for a long time period and were a little nervous about leaving Missy alone, but Xiaoyu was absolutely wonderful. From the very beginning, she made sure Missy felt comfortable, loved, and well cared for. Xiaoyu followed all the instructions we discussed and truly went above and beyond to make sure Missy didn’t miss us. After just a few visits, it was clear that Missy looked forward to seeing her, which gave us so much peace of mind. I would highly recommend Xiaoyu to anyone looking for a dedicated, trustworthy, and caring sitter—and a true friend—for their fur baby. 🐾💛

About: I have owned dogs since I was 10 years old and cats since the mid 1970's. I have cared for, fed, walked, played with not only my own, but for friends and neighbors as well. I'm currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to walk and care for your pets. Mid-mornings to early afternoons some days, all day on other days. I am currently not available to care for your pets in my home due to having 3 dogs and 2 cats already. Anything can change in the future though.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since I was a child and the love never ceased. I’ve cared for both dogs and cats. I have extensive experience caring for senior pets who might need a bit more attention. I am currently home from UCSC this summer so have very open availability for providing services. Additionally, I have my own vehicle so there are no time constraints in scheduling. I will be able to crate your pets if needed, but if they prefer a cuddle I will happily oblige! Have a pet with lots of energy? We can do long walls or monitored off leash play if that’s what they are used to !

About: Hi! My name is Peyton. I’m an avid dog-lover, and have had the pleasure of owning dogs my whole life in addition to dog sitting for 12 years. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels. In addition, I am comfortable giving medications/ modifying diets as needed, as my own dog suffers from epilepsy and requires medications throughout the day. I have my own reliable transportation and additional references from February and March of 2026 which I would be happy to provide! While I personally own dogs, I have 6 years of experience cat sitting and love to hang out with furry friends of any type. I value the important relationship of pets and their owners, and do not take the responsibility of taking care of your four legged companions lightly. Please do not hesitate to contact me for your pet sitting needs! I am home for a short while after traveling overseas before I begin my masters degree in September. I have wide availability for pet-sitting in any capacity. I also have reliable transportation! I am responsible, clean, organized and deeply care for dogs and cats of any size. About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 15 years of dog walking and sitting experience. I’ve worked for a professional dog-walking company, leading both neighborhood walks and adventurous hikes. I’ve also cared for my own dog with epilepsy, giving medication three times a day and providing gentle, patient care. We’re a warm, loving little family who adore all kinds of animals. I live with my husband and our 4-year-old son, who was born into a home with a cat and dog and has grown up loving animals and nature. At home, we don’t currently have a dog or cat, just fishes and a frog 🐠🐸. After losing our beloved dog, we haven’t been ready to adopt another one, which means your pup will get all the love and attention they deserve while staying with us! I can care for your dog at your home or mine, in any weather, for walks, hikes, playtime, or full-time sitting. I can also provide care for cats while you’re away. Your furry friends will be treated with love, patience, and plenty of attention — maybe even spoiled just a little. 😉 I currently work only 2–3 hours a day during weekdays, so I have plenty of free time to care for your little one. I’m flexible on weekends as well, which means I can easily adjust my schedule for walks, playtime, or drop-in visits. Your furry baby will always get my full attention and care. I completely understand how it feels to miss your little one when you’re away — I’ve been there too. That’s why I’ll keep you updated with frequent photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I started dogsitting around my neighborhood two years ago and my business has grown very organically since then, with my name spreading from client to client. I have only just decided to get rover to further expand my client base. I now have 13 people who call on me for trusted, in house pet care. As a full time college student, this is the perfect job for me. I have a very pet-sitting friendly schedule. With classes monday-friday 9-1, I have the whole rest of the day to stay in your home and hang out with your pets. I trained my family dog to be a very well behaved, rule following pet, so I know how to handle family pets who are also trained to have certain behaviors. I’m also very active so I will gladly take your dog for a long walk.

About: I’ve always had a huge heart for animals since I was a kid. I treat pets as if they were my own and respect their space when needed. I’ve worked with different such as livestock (horses, goats, sheep, cows) and your typical domesticated pet. I currently don’t have any pets of my own, so having the opportunity to watch someone else’s pet brings me tremendous joy. I currently work full time at a vet hospital Tuesday-Saturdays so it is really nice to be able to come home after work to something warm and fluffy. While in a clients home I always check out the home first so I can feel comfortable and see all possible exits. For pets to gain my trust I always let them sniff me first and treat them as if they were mine. I give them space when they need it. I have high respect for an owners home as well and treat it as if it were my home.

Amy was PHENOMENAL! She was incredibly accommodating, especially with giving my cat medicine, and flexible. She took the initiative with making sure my cat was cool and hydrated. My needs changed mid booking, and she came everyday, instead of every other day. Her reports were very detailed and was in constant communication with me. I would absolutely choose her again, if the opportunity arises. She was better than I could have ever hoped for!

It was clear they felt comfortable and safe with her, and that gave us complete peace of mind. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 6,342 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Verona. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Verona. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
