“Kim is amazing, her house is beautiful, her two dogs are very well behaved, and I could not be happier with her services! She is very professional (knows a lot about dog training), communicates nicely, and my dog was better behaved when I picked her up than when I dropped her off!”

About: Growing up, I always had a lot of love for animals and had many different pets from fishes, birds, guinea pig, and dogs. I had a toy poodle for 14 years before she passed and growing up as an only child, she was my best friend and more than a dog. Now, although I don’t have any pets of my own (eventually will!) I love taking care of dogs of my friends and family! I started taking care of dogs around the end of my college years and occasionally take dogs in need for care and more. I know a lot of parks around Pleasanton and tri-valley as I grew up here and would love to take your dogs on a walk! I am also available to check in on your fur baby whenever you need me to. I’m currently working part time, and have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to give your pets the time, love, and attention they need. I make sure to plan my day around walks, playtime, and check-ins so that your furry friend always feels cared for and never rushed. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I create a calm and loving environment, and I’m attentive to each pet’s unique needs and routines. Whether at my home or yours, I make sure they’re safe, happy, and never left unattended for long. I’m comfortable with crates if needed, giving medications, and providing plenty of playtime, cuddles, and walks. You can feel confident knowing your furry friend is in caring, reliable hands.
“I was very happy with how Yu-Shu took care of Guduchi. She was flexible with my hours and kept me updated throughout the day. Her kids also loved my puppy and that was great. We already have another booking with Yu-Shu and I would trust her with my puppy”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our pup again, seems she’s warming up to you and the other pups. We appreciate your patience, and helping her work through the nerves. :) You are amazing! I love the continuous updates with photos/ videos! Great to see our girl running and having a good time.”

“Susan was wonderful with Charlie! This was our first time using Rover, so I was a little nervous leaving him with someone new, but Susan immediately put us at ease. She is such a sweet and caring person, and Charlie warmed up to her quickly. Susan sent updates and adorable photos throughout the day, took Charlie on walks, gave him lots of attention, and made sure he was safe and comfortable in her home. She was very responsive, accommodating, and asked thoughtful questions about Charlie’s routine and preferences. Her calm, loving energy truly stood out❤️ Charlie came home happy and relaxed, and I absolutely trust Susan to watch him again. She is reliable, kind, patient, and cares for pets like family. I highly recommend Susan to anyone looking for a sitter who will give their dog the love and care they deserve.”

About: I have cared for dogs since I was young and know how to keep them happy. I dog sit my friends and family’s pets at my home whenever I get the chance. I am free on the weekends and look forward to go on walks and play with Daisy and our guest puppy. On Friday I’m free starting at 3 PM . My 13 and 9 year old daughter and son love to play with dogs. I have a large, fenced, grassy backyard and a doggy door so your dog can play in my yard whenever they want. There are no objects or anything for your dog to step on or eat in my house or backyard - it’s perfectly safe and puppy proofed here!
“Pawparents dropped off for a playdate while attending a wedding. Rocky enjoyed his stay with Maya and other pup friends. Maya sent plenty of updates/pictures. She was very communicative and friendly. Highly recommended!”

“Absolutely amazing. I needed a last minute sitter for my pup and Fiona and Yuan were nice enough to accept my booking. Got dates throughout the day on how he was doing and when I picked him up he looked like such a happy pup! Rocket had a blast!”

“Phenomenally trustworthy and kind pet sitter. Our puppy doesn’t usually like when I’m not around but she was so excited to go see Ying that I’ll probably be moving forward with booking her weekly. Very communicative, responsible, and caring.”

“Clara was wonderful and very communicative throughout the whole day with Tofu. You can tell she really truly cares not just for her dog, but every dog. About: I grew up with two Golden Retrievers and learned to take care of them at a young age. I also have experience with pet sitting for neighbors and friends animals, whether that be staying at their homes or bringing pets into my own home. My routine is very simple and includes walking my own dog daily! I have a 3 bedroom home that also includes a fenced in backyard for your pup to play outside! I have a 10 year old Golden Retriever who gets along well with all breeds and is very mellow.
“We left our 4 yr old dog with Rachna, and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay. He came back happy at the end of the day. She took good care of him. This was first time our dog stayed with another dog and a cat, and they all got along fine. Rachna also sent pictures. Overall, we were very satisfied and happy with her. Will of course use her services again in future. Thanks Rachna.”

Kim is amazing, her house is beautiful, her two dogs are very well behaved, and I could not be happier with her services! She is very professional (knows a lot about dog training), communicates nicely, and my dog was better behaved when I picked her up than when I dropped her off!

Pooja was great with Mochi! She was understanding about Mochi’s quirks and handled her well and made her feel comfortable by letting her sniff and hang around freely in her house. She also got to meet Duchess and other doggo friends. She updated us regularly with pictures and at the end of the day gave us a detailed update about how the boarding went! Mochi is definitely looking forward to her next staycation with Pooja and Duchess!

Krish and Bhuvana were absolutely wonderful sitters for my dog, Chewy! They’re incredibly loving people and made Chewy feel right at home. They followed all my instructions perfectly and even went above and beyond, sending me regular pictures and videos, many of which featured their daughter giving Chewy endless snuggles and pets (he loved it!). They were so attentive that when they noticed Chewy itching a little, they proactively asked me about his ear medicine and took care of it right away. On top of that, they patiently tried different ways to get him to eat his boring prescription food, played fetch with him, took him out on daily walks (even though I hadn’t asked for that), and made sure he was always happy and cared for. The sweetest moment was when we came to pick him up. Chewy clearly didn’t want to say goodbye and went back to Bhuvana for one last pet before getting in the car. That said it all! I could tell he’s really going to miss them. I can’t recommend Krish and Bhuvana enough. They treated Chewy like family, and I’d happily book with them again.

Gianna provided exceptional care for Sara during her time at daycare. She demonstrated professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine compassion, ensuring Sara felt comfortable and well looked after. Her timely updates and communication gave me complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Gianna to anyone seeking a responsible and caring pet professional.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Verona commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
