While at my house dogs are allowed to play, sleep, sunbathe, roam the yard, but are always under my supervision. Pets will be with me in the front room that's partitioned off by a baby gate, in my home office, in the garden (unless your dog has allergy issues), or in the bedroom. Dogs are allowed on the couch if the pet owner allows this behavior. I want to replicate the owner's rules to ensure the pet's training/boundaries are maintained. If you need housesitting, I will abide by all rules of your house as it pertains to your pet and home, most importantly, respecting your property and privacy. I know how important it is to trust the people watching and caring for your pets and your home. Building and maintaining that rapport is of utmost importance, and I always abide by the golden rule. I work from home during the week and will need access to a stable wifi connection. I will NEVER use your internet connection for downloading or streaming tv/movies/etc., but I may need to join the occasional work video call.

Information Kimberly D. would like to know about your pet

Dogs dropped off for daycare or boarding in my home need to be fully vaccinated, and not currently ill. For care in your home, dogs should be vaccinated for rabies. Please disclose any issues with anxiety, destructive behavior, excessive barking, or being crated for short periods of time, food/toy/people possessiveness, whether they are not potty trained or require more potty breaks due to a medical issue, so that I can provide the best experience for all. If there is a history of aggression towards certain types of dogs or with men/women/children, I will want to avoid them while on walks. Please share any of your pet's medical needs, allergies, or dietary restrictions, so that I can provide the best care during their stay.

A typical day

During their stay, there will be a lot of play or lounging, depending on your dog's needs. At least one walk a day can be provided, and endless amounts of yard play and exploring is available. If your dog loves fetch with a ball or tug with a rope, I am happy to oblige. If there is a need for training, such as teaching leash etiquette or commands, training is available. There will always be opportunities for dog socialization, as your pet will be able to interact with my beagle.

Pet care experience

With 30+ years of dog ownership, care, and training of all breeds from Chihuahuas to Dobermans, your pet will be in good hands. I've trained puppies, rescue dogs, working dogs (Schutzhund training), and pets with minor behavioral issues. I have a 23lb spayed beagle who loves other dogs who will engage in play if your dog is active but will respect their space if they prefer to be left alone. I work from home, and can provide 24/7 care for your pet(s). I'm experienced in administering medication, as I have owned both senior and terminally ill dogs. I have a large back yard where your pet can roam or sunbathe under supervision, and I can take your pet on walks during my breaks. For care in my home: ***Dogs must be fully vaccinated and not ill with a transmissible viral or bacterial infection.*** - Pets should be crate trained. If not, I'd be happy to work on incremental crate training at your request. - For puppies and overly anxious dogs, I can accommodate them sleeping in the bedroom, and on the bed if needed. Housesitting/Care In Your Home: - Pets should be up to date on their rabies vaccine.

Kim is amazing, her house is beautiful, her two dogs are very well behaved, and I could not be happier with her services! She is very professional (knows a lot about dog training), communicates nicely, and my dog was better behaved when I picked her up than when I dropped her off!

I cannot recommend Kimberly enough! I was worried about leaving Muffin during Thanksgiving, especially since she is such a picky eater. Kimberly went above and beyond to make sure she ate well. She even cooked a special delicious meal for her! It was such a relief to know he was in caring hands and enjoying her own little Thanksgiving feast. Thank you, Kimberly, for treating Muffin like family. We will definitely be booking with you again!

Kim was wonderful with our 14 year old Boston Terrier. He needs extra care, and medications throughout the day, and Kim did a great job of ensuring he had all his meds and meals. Kim was dependable, friendly and clearly a dog lover. Chief was so comfortable with her. She also sent us updates and pictures to let us know how he was doing. We got to go away on our trip knowing that Chief would be in great hands with Kim. We look forward to having Kim take care of Chief again. Thank you Kim for caring so much for our precious Chief.

Kimberly was a great sitter for my dog, Friday. I was worried about how anxious my dog would get during Halloween, but she made sure he was comfortable and in a quiet space. I really appreciate her updates and the videos of our dogs playing together. Thanks, Kimberly!
