“YoungXin was incredibly attentive and detailed, which gave me total peace of mind during my trip. She was also very responsive to messages, and I truly appreciated the care and communication. Thank you!”

“Logan was an excellent cat sitter for our 2 young cats, dropping in to take care of them for a week+ trip. He is trustworthy and responsible; his genuine love for cats means he will really care for them and he was respectful of the house, keeping it neat and as-is. He went above and beyond for our cats, providing them with extra affection and playtime rather than just dropping in to scoop litter and check on food/water. We were also given lots of photos and notes about how they were doing, it was as stress-free as a trip away from pets could be!”

“We booked a sitter through Rover for the first time for a long time period and were a little nervous about leaving Missy alone, but Xiaoyu was absolutely wonderful. From the very beginning, she made sure Missy felt comfortable, loved, and well cared for. Xiaoyu followed all the instructions we discussed and truly went above and beyond to make sure Missy didn’t miss us. After just a few visits, it was clear that Missy looked forward to seeing her, which gave us so much peace of mind. I would highly recommend Xiaoyu to anyone looking for a dedicated, trustworthy, and caring sitter—and a true friend—for their fur baby. 🐾💛”

“Mitchell was great with both of my doggies! Met the day before service after flying back into town. Thank goodness he was available at a moment’s notice. Bosco can be “barky” but Mitchel was patient with him and even brought treats with him.. He checked in, fed them and cleaned any “messes” (thank you!!) . He keep me updated on arrival and departure times. Sent pics and kept me informed of what was happening. Highly recommend and will be using his services in the near future!! Thank you Mitchell”

“Our Chi-weenie loves Jenarae and during our initial visit she was very thorough with questions addressing every contingency. We have been very pleased with this experience, we trust Jenarae completely with our home and Calla, and highly recommend her for anyone wondering whom to choose to care for their pets while they are away.”
About: I’ve had animals my entire life and have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra care. I also have experience with cats and other critters, and I currently have all three myself, so I understand their unique needs and behaviors. I’ve worked alongside professional dog trainers, which has helped me build strong handling skills and better understand training, behavior, and safety. In addition, I’ve volunteered with animal shelters, giving me experience with a wide variety of temperaments and situations. I treat every pet like my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your pets! I’m currently transitioning into trade school Friday–Sunday, which means I have plenty of time during the week to dedicate to your pets! I’m available Monday through Thursday for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with your furry (or scaly!) family members. I love building routines with pets and making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and happy while you’re away! For the comfort and safety of all pets, I provide care in your home rather than mine. I’m more than happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and any specific instructions you provide to ensure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for in their own environment. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic care, or just giving extra love and attention, I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care as my own.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I've been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. Our 5 children have grown and living on their own, so I currently have my sweet 2 dogs, Chica & Luna, who keep life fun, active, and full of love. In addition to my experience with pets, I've taught preschool and first grade, where safety, patience, and attentive care were always top priorities. I offer dog walks, drop-in visits, house sitting (no overnights), and can comfortably administer oral medications when needed. I truly enjoy caring for pets of all personalities, whether they're social and energetic, calm and relaxed, or a little nervous and shy. With a gentle demeanor and a strong understanding of animal body language, I take the time to build trust and help every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. During my first year of retirement, pet care fits naturally into my flexible schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care all day (no overnights). I provide attentive care for pets in their own home, helping maintain their normal routine, comfort, and security. I can assist with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, oral medications, and keeping pets happy and relaxed while their owners are away.
“I can't recommend Shiqi enough! My cat, Yuki, is extremely shy and usually takes a long time to warm up to strangers. I was quite worried about leaving her alone, but Shiqi was incredible. She was so patient and gentle that Yuki actually started rubbing against her and playing with her after just a few visits! The daily updates, photos, and videos gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was such a relief to see my cat happy and active instead of hiding. If you have a timid cat, Shiqi is the perfect choice. 5 stars!”

“Ayla has great communication. She's very kind and offered to water our plants and helped take in the mail and trash while we were out. Thank you so much for taking care of our rabbits!!”

About: Hi! I’m Connie, a reliable and caring pet lover based in the Bay Area. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet. I’m active, responsible, and detail-oriented, which means your pet will get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just having someone nearby for company, I’m happy to tailor my care to their needs and routine. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable, and to make your time away as stress-free as possible. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting on weekdays and weekends. Whether your pet needs a midday potty break, playtime, or extra companionship, I’m happy to accommodate their routine and provide consistent care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special care instructions so they feel secure and well cared for. I provide plenty of exercise, playtime, affection, and supervision while respecting the rules of your home. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and in good hands while you’re away.
About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life, but I have also worked in animal welfare facilities caring for animals of all types (cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, mice, chinchillas) I"m on the board of an animal welfare organization, I have served as a cat adoption counselor and I am starting my own blog about the best ways to care for pets. The main reason I'm called the pet whisperer is because I talk in their language and animals just follow me. They sense that I think like they do vs how a human would think. I'm a big fan of all animals. I'm currently working part time so have plenty of time to commit for pet care. I also am studying pet massage therapy so my pets get lots of petting I have a large home with 3 levels and fenced in backyard. I have a second fenced area within the backyard. I have two cats within the house but there's plenty of room to keep them separated if necessary.
About: We have been frequently taking care neighbors and friends’ pets. My two teenagers love to play with animals and specially dogs. We can take your dogs to the park for walking and sniffing. I am available taking care your dog at home. Also I have two little helpers to play with your fur babies to make them happy. We are living in a single house with a large yard, dogs can run and play around in the back yard even in raining day.
“Ping was great with RB. She’s very kind and gentle. Her pup Cherry is also very sweet and well behaved. I think it’s a bonus for RB to have canine company. Ping sent photos, was able to accommodate last minute request and very responsive. Thanks Ping and Cherry!”
“Thank you for taking care of our kitty! This is the second time Leilani has taken care of our pet, and she is great at leaving us updates and pictures, even if the kitty is reluctant to come out. Thank you!”

Highly recommended! Exceptionally professional and caring. Shiyin provided top-notch care for my cat. She was punctual, highly communicative, and followed all feeding and care instructions perfectly. My cat warmed up to her almost instantly. Look no further if you want peace of mind while you are away. 5 stars all the way! Thank you for your service.

Anna went above and beyond caring for all four of our babies, and we couldn’t be more grateful. She is warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to the animals in her care. What really stood out was her flexibility — when I reached out outside of our scheduled appointment times needing help with my cats, she didn’t hesitate and accommodated us without missing a beat. That kind of responsiveness and reliability is rare and means the world to a pet parent. Anna took the time to understand all of our specific care needs and handled everything with such grace and professionalism. We felt completely at ease knowing our fur babies were in her hands. Highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!

Sierra watched our 3 cats for two weeks, she is the best and it was such a relief while we were gone to have somebody we trusted watching and taking care of our cats. Sierra is friendly, professional, flexible, and was the best with our cats. Throughout the entire process, Sierra responded quickly to all of our messages and questions. For each visit we received great updates, and pictures of our cats. It was a relief to know that our cats were being taken care of by somebody who truly cared, and someone that we could trust! Our situation with our 3 cats was a lot of work with all the maintenance of the food, water and liter, along with our cat that has FIV and was injured and needed extra care and monitoring. On top of that, there were some last minute changes with our setup that Sierra handled easily too. We would absolutely book Sierra again, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive cat sitter!

Linda was very gracious and flexible to help out when I made last-minute plans to my trip. She continued to send daily photos of my kitty Scooter during daily check-ins, which left me feeling relieved to see him getting some socialization. Loved the videos she sent of her petting and talking to him!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dublin. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
