About: I have experience caring for dogs including my own senior Shih Tzu for 14 years. I currently offer daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight boarding, and in-home pet sitting. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, potty breaks, playtime, and giving dogs the attention and calm presence they need while their owners are away. I also make sure pets stay on their usual schedule as much as possible so they feel safe and settled. Whether it’s a quick visit during the day, a walk to get energy out, or staying overnight, I focus on being reliable, patient, and attentive to each dog’s personality and needs. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I am available full-time. My flexible schedule allows me to provide dependable care, whether it's daily walks, drop-in visits, daycare, boarding, or overnight care. I enjoy spending time with pets and can easily accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend bookings. My goal is to provide consistent, attentive care while ensuring each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their time with me. We have a large fenced balcony at first floor. Also a big area in our community with natural grass perfect for play and potty breaks.
“This was our first time using Rover for our cat, and Nicole was wonderful. She went above and beyond to make sure he wasn’t lonely and kept him engaged during each visit. Her communication was excellent, and she carefully followed all of our instructions, which gave us peace of mind and made our trip so much more relaxing. I would highly recommend Nicole!”

“Ayla has great communication. She's very kind and offered to water our plants and helped take in the mail and trash while we were out. Thank you so much for taking care of our rabbits!!”

About: Woof Woof Woof Meow Meow Meow I have pet sat for friends and family and would love to extend that service to my bay area neighbors. Love taking dogs for walks or to the local parks such as Fort Funston or McLaren Park. I have a skittish indoor cat, Spikey(5yr American shorthair), who is initially very shy but usually warms up to people. Checking in on cats and cleaning litter boxes is not new to me. Just want to treat your fur baby with the love, care and respect I would use to treat my own fur babies. Woof Woof Woof Meow Meow Meow I have partial work from home schedule, going into the office 2-3 days a week. Commute time is only 5 mins to Oyster Point in SSF, so can easily pop back in for a lunch time walk if needed. Your fur babies will have free roam of the living room with views of the bay and any birds outside. Best if puppies are crate trained for the night. If you are dropping off multiple pets I can separately feed them if needed.
“This is our 3rd time booking Rebecca, and I think our kitties might launch a mutiny if we tried to book anyone else. Our cats are different than most because they used to be feral (living in our neighborhood) and we brought them inside. It took me over a year with one of them to earn the trust to pet him. They are not "people" cats and have only ever been pet by my family, the staff at the vet... and now, Rebecca! She has managed to win their trust in only a few short visits and they are even coming out to greet her now when she comes in. Amazing! And... Rebecca is even able to give insulin injections to that same super shy cat who didn't let me pet him for a year. Thank you, Rebecca, for all you do. We and our kitties can't say enough good things.”

“Thank you Aubrey for being such an amazing sitter and just so flexible with everything! Loved having you sit for my little monsters because you treated them as if they were your own!”
About: I have more than 15 years of pet sitting experience. I used to do this work together with my mom. It's such a blessing to win the hearts of the pets we're able to take care of. I am also a Reiki Master and can give healings to your pets. I love walking dogs, and feel it's important to give them the amount of exercise they desire to be happy. Sadly my mother is no longer here to do this work as a team with me but I feel fully qualified to do this work individually for you. I've worked with dogs of all ages and sizes and have no fear of large dogs, nor do I fear working with old or ill pets. I hope we'll be able to meet and work together soon.
About: I have pretty much done it all! I've been around animals of all kinds since birth. I grew up around a herd of Aussies and a cluster of cats whom my mom couldn't refuse! :) I started personally helping with the cats around age 12. I've owned a Rabbit, hamsters, parakeets, guinea pigs, and a frog! I currently have 2 Himalayan cats who are my heart ❤️ I started pet-sitting when I was about 12. I have volunteer experience working at a museum for exotics, and used to work at a boarding kennel for cats and dogs. I supervised large groups of various breeds (dogs/cats) during playtime! Prior to working for Rover, I was a dog-walker/pet-sitter for 7 years for Metro-Pet. I regularly stayed in client's homes when they were on vacation. I've also been a foster mom for a golden retriever who stole my heart! I really have done it all☺️ I love breeds of all kinds, but will only care for those who are non-aggressive. Rover is my only source of income. I have all the time in the world right now to dedicate to this! When I eventually get a FT job, I plan on pet-sitting as a side job. Unless I find Remote work, which then I can bring with me anywhere! Either way, I will work pet/house sitting around my schedule so I can keep doing both! I will treat your animals as I would my own. With lots of patience and affection and snuggles ☺️ I am highly respectful of my clients homes. I am an extremely trustworthy and responsible person. I clean up after myself and leave the home looking as it did when I got there.
“Lindsay was great to work with and our dog Leia loved working and walking with her. Lindsay was extremely prompt, showing up at the exact minute that we had scheduled. She was very patient getting to know our dog and we knew our dog would be in good hands seeing how much time she took to get to know our dog and her quirks. I won't hesitate to hire Lindsay again or recommend her to anyone who needs dog walking.”

About: 10 years of pet sitting for dogs and cats 5 years of professional dog walking, dog care, and dog bathing 5 years volunteering at cat rescue Cared for pets of all sizes and ages I’m currently working as a part-time dog bather so I have lots of time to care for your fur babies and give them the attention they need. I care for your pets in your home based off what routines they are used to. Let me know what they love and what their house rules are and I will follow that to insure they feel safe and happy.
“Jordan is very trust worthy and reliable. Took great care of our precious Mya Dog for a week. I think she missed him when we returned! Highly recommend him as a sitter.”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and caring for them has always been a big part of who I am. Growing up, my family had a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, horses, and rabbits, so I’m very comfortable with different types of animals and personalities. During my time at CSU, I’ve continued that passion by fostering three puppies and a couple of cats over the past few years. This gave me hands-on experience with everything from young, high-energy pets to helping animals adjust to new environments. I also regularly help care for my roommate’s dog and cat, so I’m used to day-to-day responsibilities like feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I truly love animals and being around them is part of my everyday life—I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and love while you’re away. I’m currently a CSU student and work during the week, so I’m primarily available for pet care on weekends. That said, I do have some flexibility during certain weekdays depending on my class and work schedule, so feel free to reach out—I’m happy to see if I can make something work! I focus primarily on dog walking and drop-in visits, and I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. During walks, I make sure dogs are securely leashed, stay in safe areas, and get the right amount of exercise based on their energy level and needs. For drop-in visits, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine—whether that’s feeding, playtime, walks, or just keeping them company. I always take time to make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for, especially when their owners are away. I’m very attentive to details and will follow any specific instructions you provide, including medications, feeding schedules, or behavior preferences. I also make sure your home is respected and left exactly how I found it. Communication is important to me, so I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and in good hands!
About: I always loved animals so much since I was little I wanted to become a vet until I found out how much science was involved...ha! My friends and family knew how much I loved animals that they would always go to me first to take care of their pets before bringing their furry family members to an animal daycare. I've watched over cats, birds, dogs (small and large breeds) and even helped a young Doberman mama take care of her beautiful 7 pup litter for 4 weeks until they were adopted at 6 weeks old. I also have a special love for horses, so I have taken care of horses but light work such as cleaning, riding, and restocking the hay. I work from home so I'm very flexible in terms of caring for animals. So during the day I can take them out for walks, cleaning, feeding, etc. I don't have any animals myself (yet) so if your fur baby is shy or uncomfortable around other animals, you don't have to worry about that with me. I also have a fenced yard with enough space for your animal to roam around...although I prefer to go to the pet owner's house as the animal will feel more comfortable in their own environment and also because my mom tends to have animal allergies, so for her comfort, I rather go to the owner's house.
“Booked a super last minute drop in visit for our dogs with Trevor and he was as excellent as when he did in-house dog sitting for us for a few days, communicative, attentive to the dogs and professional! Were very lucky to have found a reliable pet sitter our pups clearly adore!”

“I had a last-minute need for someone to check in on my dog due to a flight delay, and Hailey truly saved the day! She responded quickly, was flexible and reliable, and kept me updated throughout the entire process to ensure my dog was well cared for. I’m so grateful to Hailey for stepping in on such short notice and would highly recommend her for any future pet sitting needs. Thank you, Hailey!”

“I met Surjit in the Peace Corps and since day one she’s shown a tremendous quality of being a dependable friend. She’s charismatic, she’s thoughtful, and she’s an extremely loving caretaker. When my dog Darwin first met her, his eyes lit up and his pupils went wide with love for her as they continue to do so every time they get together and forget I’m even there. She’s one of the very few people who I trust enough to take care of Darwin and they continue to bond in a way I don’t really see with other people since, even though my dog is very cute, I think he knows it and can be a bit antisocial and aloof. But Surjit sees him and fully accepts him for who he is, as I see her do with all pets in her life. I happily endorse Surjit because I know that she does not just see your pet as a dog or a cat, she sees them as individuals with their own personalities, fears, habits, wants, and needs. I happily endorse Surjit because I know that she will, without a doubt, go above and beyond and take care of your pet like she takes care of her own family and friends.”

About: Hi! I’m someone who truly loves animals and treats every pet like family. I’ve had hands-on experience dog sitting for my grandma, and I have my own bunny, so I understand how important patience, gentleness, and attention are when caring for animals. What sets me apart is how much I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets—I’m not just there to “watch” them, I’m there to make them feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I pay attention to their moods, routines, and little details that make them comfortable. I’m responsible, caring, and naturally nurturing, and I’ll always make sure your dog gets plenty of love, playtime, and care—just like they would at home. Your pet’s happiness and comfort mean everything to me! Pet care fits thoughtfully into my routine in a way that still allows me to give each pet my full attention and care. I work Monday through Thursday from 7–4, so I’m available in the afternoons and evenings on most weekdays, as well as Fridays and Saturdays. I’m not available for early morning walks before work, Sundays, Mondays, or some Tuesdays, but when I am available, I make sure to be fully present. After work, I can provide walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of love so your pet feels happy and comfortable. I focus on being reliable and consistent within my schedule, making sure every visit is calm, attentive, and full of care. Your pet will always get quality time, affection, and a safe, comforting environment with me I care for every pet like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable no matter where they are. In my home or a client’s home, I stick closely to their normal routine—feeding times, walks, playtime, and rest—so they feel as relaxed as possible. I’m very gentle and attentive, always paying attention to their behavior and needs, whether that means extra cuddles, quiet time, or lots of play. I keep their space clean, make sure they have fresh water, and give them plenty of love and reassurance while you’re away. My goal is to create a calm, happy environment where your pet feels secure, cared for, and truly at home 🤍

Highly recommended! Exceptionally professional and caring. Shiyin provided top-notch care for my cat. She was punctual, highly communicative, and followed all feeding and care instructions perfectly. My cat warmed up to her almost instantly. Look no further if you want peace of mind while you are away. 5 stars all the way! Thank you for your service.

Nicole took great care of my cat while I was out for a week. Right off the bat from the meet and greet, I appreciated her letting the cat get familiar at her own pace. Even when my automatic feeder suddenly stopped working in the middle of the sit, Nicole was able to accommodate my additional requests and maintained great communication throughout. I loved getting pictures and videos of my cat from her as I could tell the kitty had really warmed up to her.

My husband and I were thrilled with Lindsay and her obvious and genuine care for our cats Foxy and Maizy. It was also very clear that our cats felt comfortable with Lindsay. We were both a bit hesitant about having a cat sitter and Lindsay certainly erased any concern that we had. Lindsay sent loving comments and beautiful pictures of our dear Cats. She made certain that things were left in good order and clean. Thank you, Lindsay.

Brooke just took care of our 3 cats and did a fantastic job. She was here on each day we requested, sent photos and made sure our fur babies had everything they needed including some much needed affection. She is really great with animals. I highly recommend her.

We had a wonderful experience leaving our cat fur a day while having Zi check in on him twice. I was quite wary of letting a stranger into my house while we were away but after meeting Zi at our scheduled meet and greet, all my fears were set aside as she was very sweet and loving towards Billy Bob, our cat. She visited on time and sent pictures and communicated during and after the visits. I’ll definitely look her up again next time we need a pet sitter!
This was our first time using Rover for our cat, and Nicole was wonderful. She went above and beyond to make sure he wasn’t lonely and kept him engaged during each visit. Her communication was excellent, and she carefully followed all of our instructions, which gave us peace of mind and made our trip so much more relaxing. I would highly recommend Nicole!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
