Over the years, I’ve adopted and cared for shelter dogs, including one of my most meaningful experiences: transforming my 3-year-old German Shepherd who came from an abusive and neglected background. She was fearful, submissive, and untrained when I first brought her home. About: Hello, friend!!! I have been housesitting and caring for other's pets, homes, and gardens since my teen years. As a writer I spend a lot of time working from home, meaning that I will largely be available throughout the day to give your pets all the attention they need and ease the discomfort of having their loved one (you!) away for a while. Staying attuned to an animal's needs comes naturally for me as it brings me fulfillment as well. Cats are my absolute favorite - I have had a cat as a companion in every stage of my life and cared for many more. I have cared for many dogs as well, but mostly quieter dogs with a "cat-like" demeanor. I have sensory sensitives so I am unable to care for younger and more energetic dogs that bark a lot. (Barking because excited for certain activities is expected and fine, though). Other pets I have owned and cared for include smaller pets such as goldfish, bearded dragons, hermit crabs, snakes, and tarantulas. I have great respect for what a home means and treat every space I am in with reverence, keeping it clean and cared for. I also have light experience gardening and am comfortable watering a mass of plants! I have housesat several locations that have an entire array of potted plants. All pet care will take place in your home, so I will keep your pets' routine as stated, ensuring that nothing is disrupted for them aside from your departure. Plants and home will also be cared for as you would care for it. Cleanliness is part of my values, so you can expect your home to be as organized and neat as you left it. I do not do deep cleaning such as vacuuming unless previously negotiated.

I have dog walked and dog sat for my friends, my family, and worked for local dog walking company for a couple years—taking care and walking multiple dogs a week. About: Hello! My name is Elise and I’m a dog walker with lots of personal pet training experience that specializes with reactive dogs both large and small. Just give me a list of things your pup may struggle with or that you want them to learn and I will do my best to help them learn to emotionally regulate on walks, around other dogs and people, or just while at home when I’m pet sitting :). I can also write you progress reports and training that should be continued at home for the best results. I can also offer my help to older dogs or dogs with arthritis or other joint/muscle issues. I am a certified personal trainer and a lot of the things I’ve learned about human muscles and pain relief also apply to puppy bodies. Disclaimers: I do not take dogs on off leash walks unless it’s at a private gated property I do not walk multiple dogs in one session as this will often cause/increase reactivity. Depending on how reactive your dog is, how new they are to walks, and how strong they are, I strongly suggest having a muzzle and, in severe cases, may require that they have one for a session. I can always help recommend the most comfortable one for your pet as my 90 lb dog needed one for walks in the beginning of training and still needs it for vet trips :) I taught her that it’s not a punishment and desensitized her to it by associating it with positive things like treats and now she helps me put it on her. I work from 6 am - 9 am every weekday morning and have therapy on Wednesdays at 10. Outside of that, my other commitments are flexible and my main focus is on building my clientele here on rover :) I plan on fulfilling any need/chore my client’s owner lists for me and I offer free training when wanted. Outside of that, I pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and potty/feeding schedule to ensure they are fed on time, let out for potty, taken out for walks, and played with as needed and in a way that is most fulfilling for their breed. For example, I play herding games for herding breeds, lots of training and learning tricks for working breeds, etc. I also love to help dogs with arthritis or other joint/muscle issues by massaging them. I’ve raised tons of puppies, whelped many litters and raised them from birth, taken care of many puppies and taken care of many adults young and old, taken care of sick dogs and older dogs who required higher levels of medical care/medications/ointments etc, worked as a dog groomer at a high volume Petco salon for 9 years, worked as a vet groomer for a year, worked in a private salon for 2 years, worked as mobile groomer since 2019, with altogether over 19 years experience as a groomer. I also show my dogs in AKC conformation. I’ve been a multi dog owner for 25 years. Pretty much my whole life is dogs! I am fully dedicated to providing care for dogs. I can become very flexible as needed, depending on what a client is looking for. Currently my schedule is pretty open and I’m looking for long term and short term pet care jobs I can add to it. I pay a lot of attention to detail and try to follow instructions to the t. I provide the same high level of care for the pets of others as I do for my own pets.

About: I have more than 15 years of pet sitting experience. I used to do this work together with my mom. It's such a blessing to win the hearts of the pets we're able to take care of. I am also a Reiki Master and can give healings to your pets. I love walking dogs, and feel it's important to give them the amount of exercise they desire to be happy. Sadly my mother is no longer here to do this work as a team with me but I feel fully qualified to do this work individually for you. About: I have experiences with Senior care and basic training for puppies. I watch their body languages carefully to know when to pause a play and what they need from me :) Leia and I usually go for a walk in the morning, around 5 in the afternoon and quick bathroom break before going to bed. I work from home most of the time so id love to help to care for another dog so they’re not depressed alone at home whole the parents are off to earn money for their their pawbills 😝 I help to care for friends dogs when they need and I feed them together but separately so they don’t get food aggressive. I also monitor toys so it doesn’t create fights. Because I have Leia, I know the struggle and guilt feelings when you have vacation planned and need to leave the pup. I try my best to give lots of updates and pics so the humans can enjoy their time away as well.

About: I always loved animals so much since I was little I wanted to become a vet until I found out how much science was involved...ha! My friends and family knew how much I loved animals that they would always go to me first to take care of their pets before bringing their furry family members to an animal daycare. I've watched over cats, birds, dogs (small and large breeds) and even helped a young Doberman mama take care of her beautiful 7 pup litter for 4 weeks until they were adopted at 6 weeks old. I also have a special love for horses, so I have taken care of horses but light work such as cleaning, riding, and restocking the hay. I work from home so I'm very flexible in terms of caring for animals. So during the day I can take them out for walks, cleaning, feeding, etc. I don't have any animals myself (yet) so if your fur baby is shy or uncomfortable around other animals, you don't have to worry about that with me. I also have a fenced yard with enough space for your animal to roam around...although I prefer to go to the pet owner's house as the animal will feel more comfortable in their own environment and also because my mom tends to have animal allergies, so for her comfort, I rather go to the owner's house.
