“I had some last-minute plans come up and urgently needed someone to look after my dog. Nicole was incredibly accommodating, stepping in on short notice, and went above and beyond to make sure my dog was well cared for. When booking, I accidentally selected the dog check-in service instead of the dog sitter option. I reached out to Nicole about the mix-up, and she was incredibly understanding. She was very flexible and kindly allowed me to adjust my request. Overall, Nicole was truly amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter!”

About: As the owner of four cats, I have daily hands-on experience providing consistent, attentive care to animals. Caring for multiple pets has taught me to be patient, reliable, and attentive to each animal's unique needs and personality. While my personal experience has been with cats, I'm comfortable caring for dogs by following their established routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and providing plenty of love and attention. I'll treat your dog with the same care and dedication I give my own pets! I'm currently a graduate student, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care throughout the week. I keep my availability up to date and do my best to accommodate your pet's routine, whether that's morning walks, midday drop-ins, or evening visits. I believe consistency is important, so I'll always communicate clearly and provide dependable, attentive care while you're away. Your pet's comfort, safety, and well-being are always my top priorities. Since I'm entering their space, I believe it's important to let each pet take the lead. I take the time to build trust at their own pace and never force interactions or affection. Every pet has a unique personality, and I respect their individual needs and boundaries. I'll follow your pet's routine as closely as possible, whether that includes feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication (if needed), or simply providing companionship. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away by maintaining the consistency they're used to. As a pet owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. That's why I'll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're happy, safe, and receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own pets.
About: I have two years of experience working at a dog daycare, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments, and individual needs. My experience includes feeding, administering medication, and following detailed care instructions to ensure each dog receives proper care and attention. I’m comfortable handling a variety of situations and take pride in providing safe, reliable, and attentive care for every pet. I work full-time at a dog daycare, so caring for dogs is already a big part of my daily routine! I’m available for drop-in visits and walks every day before and after work. My schedule can vary, so I’m happy to discuss specific times when booking to make sure I can give your pup the care and attention they need. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels, and I’ll make sure your pup gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I follow any instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and any specific needs they may have. I also treat each client’s home with the same care and respect I would want for my own, making sure everything is kept clean, secure, and as I found it. Most importantly, I want both pets and their owners to feel comfortable and confident that they are in good hands.
“Yilian was wonderful with our dogs. She provided drop-ins to primarily feed our fur babies; and she ensured their blankets were in their beds, tidied up the garage and yard, and played with them while she was at the house. She communicated well and promptly, sent us updates and pics. We will definitely book Yilian again!”

About: Hey! I'm Nazareth. I'm 22, a part-time community college student, and I also work full time as the manager of a dog daycare and boarding facility in San Ramon. I started working professionally with dogs when I was 17, and over the years I've gotten comfortable with just about every personality. High-energy dogs that love to jump? No problem. Seniors who need medication? Happy to help. Nervous, anxious, or reactive dogs? I'm comfortable working at their pace and earning their trust. I currently work full-time, so my availability varies depending on the day. Workdays (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday): Available before 9:30 AM Unavailable 9:30 AM–1:00 PM Available 1:00 PM–2:00 PM Unavailable 2:00 PM–7:30 PM Available after 7:30 PM Days Off (Wednesday & Saturday): I'm generally available throughout the day and have much more flexibility for drop-ins, walks, or extended visits. If your requested time falls outside my listed availability, don't hesitate to reach out anyway. My schedule can occasionally be adjusted, and I'll always do my best to accommodate your needs whenever possible. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's unique personality, feeding schedule, medications, exercise needs, and any special instructions before every booking. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, especially while their owners are away. While caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the pets and the home with the same respect I would my own. I'll keep food and water fresh, clean up after your pets, make sure doors and gates are secure, and provide plenty of attention, playtime, or quiet companionship depending on what your pet enjoys. You'll also receive regular updates with photos so you can relax knowing your pets are safe and well cared for. I'm experienced in recognizing animal body language and responding calmly to different personalities and situations. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or a senior who needs a slower pace, I'll provide patient, reliable care tailored to their needs.
“Demi took really good care of our senior kitty. He was very excited to see her every time she came by Demi went out of her way just to take care of Maackey by brushing him a little bit more on the couch and he really enjoyed it and rolled over. Was happy to have the attention. Thank you so much. Demi will definitely use you again.”

About: I have experiences with Senior care and basic training for puppies. I watch their body languages carefully to know when to pause a play and what they need from me :) Leia and I usually go for a walk in the morning, around 5 in the afternoon and quick bathroom break before going to bed. I work from home most of the time so id love to help to care for another dog so they’re not depressed alone at home whole the parents are off to earn money for their their pawbills 😝 I help to care for friends dogs when they need and I feed them together but separately so they don’t get food aggressive. I also monitor toys so it doesn’t create fights. Because I have Leia, I know the struggle and guilt feelings when you have vacation planned and need to leave the pup. I try my best to give lots of updates and pics so the humans can enjoy their time away as well.
About: I've been raised to love animals since childhood, and we've had numerous dogs and cats at home growing up. My mother taught me a great deal about treating animals with care and love. I am retired and am available for cat sitting on weekdays between 8 am to 5 pm. I look forward to doting on and pampering your precious ones when they are under my care. With utmost care and attention in your own home. I know that cats are happiest in their own home, doing their own routines. Their comfort is my top priority.
About: I have more than 15 years of pet sitting experience. I used to do this work together with my mom. It's such a blessing to win the hearts of the pets we're able to take care of. I am also a Reiki Master and can give healings to your pets. I love walking dogs, and feel it's important to give them the amount of exercise they desire to be happy. Sadly my mother is no longer here to do this work as a team with me but I feel fully qualified to do this work individually for you. I've worked with dogs of all ages and sizes and have no fear of large dogs, nor do I fear working with old or ill pets. I hope we'll be able to meet and work together soon.

About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for family and friends for the past 6 years and absolutely love spending time with them! I have experience caring for cats and dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, including feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and giving them lots of love and attention. I work part-time in the mornings, which means I have lots of free time in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends! I’d love to spend that extra time giving your pup plenty of cuddles, playtime, walks, and attention. 🐶💕 I’m happy to work around your dog’s routine and make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! Your pup’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! I know how hard it can be to leave your fur baby with someone new, so I’ll treat them with the same love and care I would give my own. I’m responsible, attentive, and always make sure to follow your instructions and your dog’s usual routine. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands! 🐶✨
“Thank you Aubrey for being such an amazing sitter and just so flexible with everything! Loved having you sit for my little monsters because you treated them as if they were your own!”
About: I always loved animals so much since I was little I wanted to become a vet until I found out how much science was involved...ha! My friends and family knew how much I loved animals that they would always go to me first to take care of their pets before bringing their furry family members to an animal daycare. I've watched over cats, birds, dogs (small and large breeds) and even helped a young Doberman mama take care of her beautiful 7 pup litter for 4 weeks until they were adopted at 6 weeks old. I also have a special love for horses, so I have taken care of horses but light work such as cleaning, riding, and restocking the hay. I work from home so I'm very flexible in terms of caring for animals. So during the day I can take them out for walks, cleaning, feeding, etc. I don't have any animals myself (yet) so if your fur baby is shy or uncomfortable around other animals, you don't have to worry about that with me. I also have a fenced yard with enough space for your animal to roam around...although I prefer to go to the pet owner's house as the animal will feel more comfortable in their own environment and also because my mom tends to have animal allergies, so for her comfort, I rather go to the owner's house.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
