About: I have experience taking care of dogs because I grew up with them. Being around dogs has always felt natural to me, so I understand the basics of feeding them, walking them, playing with them, keeping them comfortable, and paying attention to what they need. I’m gentle, patient, and attentive, but I’m also playful, so I enjoy making sure dogs are not just cared for, but actually happy and engaged. I know every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I would always respect the owner’s instructions and take time to understand what works best for their dog. I’m currently in college and home for the summer, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I’m available for walks, playtime, drop-ins, and consistent care throughout the week. About: As a dedicated dog parent myself, my unique strengths include senior dog care, dog walking and providing a calm home environment along with custom routines. Pet care is already a core part of my daily rhythm. As a dog parent myself, I start and end most days with walks, so caring for a dog fits naturally into my schedule rather than competing with it. Since I'm currently a homemaker, I have flexible, consistent availability throughout the week — including mornings, midday, and afternoons — which means I can offer reliable, on-time walks rather than squeezing them in around a 9-to-2. I'm looking to build dog walking into a regular part of my week: it keeps me active, gets me outdoors, and lets me connect with neighbors and other pet parents in the community. Because I understand the responsibility of caring for a dog firsthand — from reading their energy level to knowing when they need a slower pace or extra water breaks — I bring the same attentiveness to dogs in my care that I'd want for my own. For dog walking, I focus on safety, routine, and attentiveness. When I arrive at a client's home, I take time to greet the dog calmly and let them warm up to me before heading out, especially on a first visit. During the walk, I keep dogs on a secure leash, follow the pace and route that suits their energy level and age, and stay alert to their body language, other animals, traffic, and weather conditions. I always bring water for longer walks, clean up after the dog every time, and make sure collars, harnesses, and gates are securely fastened before and after each visit. Once the walk is done, I make sure the dog has fresh water available, lock up the home securely, and send the owner a quick update — including photos when I can — so they know their pet is happy and cared for. Because I'm a dog owner myself, I treat every dog in my care the way I'd want someone to treat mine: with patience, close attention, and respect for their individual personality and needs.

About: Hello! My name is Elise and I’m a dog walker with lots of personal pet training experience that specializes with reactive dogs both large and small. Just give me a list of things your pup may struggle with or that you want them to learn and I will do my best to help them learn to emotionally regulate on walks, around other dogs and people, or just while at home when I’m pet sitting :). I can also write you progress reports and training that should be continued at home for the best results. I can also offer my help to older dogs or dogs with arthritis or other joint/muscle issues. I am a certified personal trainer and a lot of the things I’ve learned about human muscles and pain relief also apply to puppy bodies. Disclaimers: I do not take dogs on off leash walks unless it’s at a private gated property I do not walk multiple dogs in one session as this will often cause/increase reactivity. Depending on how reactive your dog is, how new they are to walks, and how strong they are, I strongly suggest having a muzzle and, in severe cases, may require that they have one for a session. I can always help recommend the most comfortable one for your pet as my 90 lb dog needed one for walks in the beginning of training and still needs it for vet trips :) I taught her that it’s not a punishment and desensitized her to it by associating it with positive things like treats and now she helps me put it on her. I work from 6 am - 9 am every weekday morning and have therapy on Wednesdays at 10. Outside of that, my other commitments are flexible and my main focus is on building my clientele here on rover :) I plan on fulfilling any need/chore my client’s owner lists for me and I offer free training when wanted. Outside of that, I pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and potty/feeding schedule to ensure they are fed on time, let out for potty, taken out for walks, and played with as needed and in a way that is most fulfilling for their breed. For example, I play herding games for herding breeds, lots of training and learning tricks for working breeds, etc. I also love to help dogs with arthritis or other joint/muscle issues by massaging them. I am a certified personal trainer and a lot of the things I’ve learned about human muscles and pain relief also apply to puppy bodies.

I’ve raised tons of puppies, whelped many litters and raised them from birth, taken care of many puppies and taken care of many adults young and old, taken care of sick dogs and older dogs who required higher levels of medical care/medications/ointments etc, worked as a dog groomer at a high volume Petco salon for 9 years, worked as a vet groomer for a year, worked in a private salon for 2 years, worked as mobile groomer since 2019, with altogether over 19 years experience as a groomer. I also show my dogs in AKC conformation. I’ve been a multi dog owner for 25 years. Pretty much my whole life is dogs! I am fully dedicated to providing care for dogs. I can become very flexible as needed, depending on what a client is looking for. Currently my schedule is pretty open and I’m looking for long term and short term pet care jobs I can add to it. I pay a lot of attention to detail and try to follow instructions to the t. I provide the same high level of care for the pets of others as I do for my own pets.

About: I have always been in the childcare and education field, and the last few years has brought me to the world of dog sitting! Dogs tend to become very comfortable with me right away! I wake up early for walks, and your pup will receive about 3 per day, including lots of ball and toy tosses and tons of love and attention! I live in a condo with a spacious living room for plenty of play and to keep crates and beds. Walks are always leashed. Pups are allowed on the couch and in bed. Snuggles are very important!

I’ll also make sure your home is secure before I leave and send you updates and photos, so you know your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: I’ve been a dog mom for over 30 years, and caring for pups is just part of who I am. My first dog was with me for 18 amazing years, and my second for 14. They were truly family! I love taking care of dogs all ages, but have a soft spot for senior dogs.
