About: Hello! My name is Elise and I’m a dog walker with lots of personal pet training experience that specializes with reactive dogs both large and small. Just give me a list of things your pup may struggle with or that you want them to learn and I will do my best to help them learn to emotionally regulate on walks, around other dogs and people, or just while at home when I’m pet sitting :). I can also write you progress reports and training that should be continued at home for the best results. I can also offer my help to older dogs or dogs with arthritis or other joint/muscle issues. I am a certified personal trainer and a lot of the things I’ve learned about human muscles and pain relief also apply to puppy bodies. Disclaimers: I do not take dogs on off leash walks unless it’s at a private gated property I do not walk multiple dogs in one session as this will often cause/increase reactivity. Depending on how reactive your dog is, how new they are to walks, and how strong they are, I strongly suggest having a muzzle and, in severe cases, may require that they have one for a session. I can always help recommend the most comfortable one for your pet as my 90 lb dog needed one for walks in the beginning of training and still needs it for vet trips :) I taught her that it’s not a punishment and desensitized her to it by associating it with positive things like treats and now she helps me put it on her. I work from 6 am - 9 am every weekday morning and have therapy on Wednesdays at 10. Outside of that, my other commitments are flexible and my main focus is on building my clientele here on rover :) I plan on fulfilling any need/chore my client’s owner lists for me and I offer free training when wanted. Outside of that, I pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and potty/feeding schedule to ensure they are fed on time, let out for potty, taken out for walks, and played with as needed and in a way that is most fulfilling for their breed. For example, I play herding games for herding breeds, lots of training and learning tricks for working breeds, etc. I also love to help dogs with arthritis or other joint/muscle issues by massaging them. I am a certified personal trainer and a lot of the things I’ve learned about human muscles and pain relief also apply to puppy bodies.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, starting with Daisy, a cocker spaniel I got back in second grade. She lived to a happy old age and even had puppies. I kept one, a cockapoo named Lucas, and he’s still with me today along with his sister Bella. They’re almost 13 now, so I know senior dogs well, plus all the energy and walks that younger ones need. Over the years I’ve dog sat and house sat for family and friends, with everything from small dogs to big breeds like a Kangal and a pit/bulldog mix. I’m comfortable with all kinds, though small to medium dogs are my sweet spot. I’m also happy to handle the little stuff, like ear cleaning, that some breeds need. Whether your dog is a puppy, full of energy, or slowing down a bit, they’ll be in calm and caring hands with me. My schedule shifts week to week since I’m balancing work and school, but overall it gives me a lot of flexibility. I’m generally free most mornings and have stretches throughout the day to check in, walk dogs, or spend real time with cats rather than just rushing through visits. For house sitting, I plan my hours around your pet’s routine, not the other way around. I’ve had pets my whole life, so a calm and safe environment is second nature to me. For dogs, that means sticking to their walk and feeding schedule and being attentive during play and downtime. For cats, I’m careful about doors and entry points since I know how easily they can slip out, and I keep an eye on plants or anything toxic that curious pets might chew on. Either way, I follow your home’s rules exactly as you’d want them and pay attention to the small things that help a pet feel safe and comfortable with someone new around.

About: I have always been in the childcare and education field, and the last few years has brought me to the world of dog sitting! Dogs tend to become very comfortable with me right away! I wake up early for walks, and your pup will receive about 3 per day, including lots of ball and toy tosses and tons of love and attention! I live in a condo with a spacious living room for plenty of play and to keep crates and beds. Walks are always leashed. Pups are allowed on the couch and in bed. Snuggles are very important!

About: I have grown up with dogs most of my life and have experience taking care of cats, rabbits, turtles, and fish. My experience with dogs includes: training, dog walking, and administering medication. I have a 5 1/2 year old mini double doodle named Kota and trained him myself. I pride myself on providing quality animal care and want to make sure your pet is safe and happy during their time with me. Currently I am taking a sabbatical and have plenty of time to take care of your pup! Depending on your preference and your dog's needs, I can provide plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation. I am happy to take care of your pet in your home and do daily walks. Please let me know if your pet is comfortable around other dogs. If they're not, I can easily leave my dog at home while I focus on your pet's needs.

About: I’ve been a dog mom for over 30 years, and caring for pups is just part of who I am. My first dog was with me for 18 amazing years, and my second for 14. They were truly family! I love taking care of dogs all ages, but have a soft spot for senior dogs. I have a lot of experience with the extra care they need, like giving meds, keeping an eye on their health, and making sure they feel safe and loved. If your dog stays with our family, they’ll get all the cuddles, patience, and attention they deserve….just like we’d give our own. We love dogs and miss having our own, so we welcome all the pup cuddles! I am home during the day and can be available weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm for drop-in visits or taking your dog for a walk. In our home, your fur baby will be taken care of like family. We have a 9 and 7 year old who will help ensure they receive lots of love while you’re away. We have a fenced yard they can play in, as well as a great neighborhood we can go for walks in. You let us know what works best for your dog and we will make sure to stick to it, to help them feel as comfortable as possible and keep their routine. Our goal is to make the stay stress free for the dog and for you, as owners. For Drop-in visits, I will be sure to follow the routine you have shared for feeding, walks, and playtime to provide consistency and comfort. About: Over the past 10 years, I have frequently helped My neighbors and friends watch and take of their pets when they are out of town. I WFH almost everyday and live in a great neighborhood with close local parks. I am super communicative, honest, and can handle big dogs if need be! I work Tues and Wed in office, but all other days I work from home! I have availability to walk, take dog for grooming, host your pet etc etc. I live in a 2 bed apartment, we have the whole kitchen area open to setup kennels or play areas if need be. I live very close to downtown Walnut Creek next to all the chill spots and areas.
