About: Conveniently located right off of 580, near the 3 crosses: What Sets Me Apart: I offer more than standard pet care—I provide expert, family-level dedication to every animal. My difference is rooted in a lifetime of total immersion with pets. Medical Knowledge and Structure: Unlike typical sitters, I bring hands-on experience with pet medicine and complex schedules. This means I'm fully capable of managing medication protocols, following detailed feeding instructions, and monitoring your pet's health with a critical, informed eye. Behavior and Training Skills: I don't just walk dogs; I reinforce good habits. I have years of experience helping dogs with command reinforcement and leash manners, ensuring your pet comes home with their skills intact, if not improved. My expertise extends to cats as well, ensuring they receive the specialized care and attention they need. Unmatched Emotional Commitment: To me, your pets are my "furbabies"—I care for them as if I birthed them. This is the difference: they receive genuine, unconditional love, respect, and constant engagement. They won't just be supervised; they'll be kept happy and busy with walks, and active playtime until you return. With endless couch snuggling available :) I ensure your pets are kept mentally and physically engaged, receiving the same love and commitment they get from you. I work remotely with a very flexible schedule. Pets have always been in my life and I know how hard it is to find someone who will take the same care of your pet when you are away. With morning and evening walks and as much cuddle/play time as they want, I will keep your baby stimulated while you are away. My yard is secured with a privacy fence. I have a very walkable neighborhood with a park nearby. I have one puppy and two cats in my home. My puppy weighs about 6lbs. My cats are very dog friendly. I allow the animals on the couch and bed but will happily follow the rules you have established for your pet. I am CPR and First Aid certified. When I house sit I bring my own * Sleeping bag and pillow * Washcloth and towel * Food My motto is to leave a home better than I found it and to leave no trace. I will run the vacuum and empty the garbage before I leave. I want you to be stress free upon your arrival :)
“Jackie and Jannalea were very sweet and patient with my dog Ponyo. Ponyo got her walks and they managed to take the same route that I usually do without my prompting! Got photos and updates each time so I knew what was going on. Wouldn't hesitate to book again!”

“Our dog Mochi as well as our family love Huei Sin! She has been so responsive, flexible and loving. We love seeing our walk updates with photos and special messages. We look forward to seeing Huei Sin every week. Thank you!”

“Erica helped me out while I was in town for work. She immediately put me at ease and I knew Maggie would be in good hands. She provided great communication throughout the day. Highly recommend if you’re in her area!”

“I want to send yet another BIG THANK YOU to Ayashe for loving on my babies like I do and always caring for them with professionalism and kindness. I have enjoyed working with her for over a year where she reliably showed up to walk them in a timely manner, communicated regularly, and became a trusted part of our routine/household. Even though I booked one walk at a time, I was a recurring client this whole time and could not have done it without her. Thank you so much for all your help and being an ideal Rover walker 🐶🐶❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“Brian has been walking our dogs since the beginning of the year and he’s great. Great communicator and takes awesome pics of our dogs during the walk! We also had him house sit for us when we went out of town! The dogs love him!!! Definitely would recommend!”

About: As cat parent, I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for your cat while you’re away. I've got two cats of my own: Pablo, a 14-year-old tuxedo cuddle monster who we’ve had for 11 years; and Bernie, a spirited 5-year-old brown tabby we adopted during the lockdown. So you need someone to check in on your kitty during the day, over night, for a weekend, or even longer, I’d love to help make your time away a little easier—for you and your cat! Whether it’s to feed them, clean their litter box, playing with them, or just some comforting company, you can rest assured they'll receive the same attention I give my own cats. You can also rely on me to water your indoor and outdoor plants, collect your mail, and bring in your bins if it’s the end of collection day. P.S., I'm also comfortable taking care of small and medium-sized dogs. I'm currently prioritizing cat care for my clients. For most of the year, I am available 7 days a week to go to your home to check on and care for your fur babies. I will come to your home as requested to feed your cats, change their water, and scoop their litter. If they need additional care with brushing, exercise, or other attention, please let me know.
About: I have over 8 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I truly love what I do. While I specialize in small dogs, I’m comfortable with medium-sized pups too. I’ve cared for pets of all ages — from playful 10-week-old puppies and kittens to sweet senior pets who just need gentle walks and extra attention. Every pet has their own personality, and I’m patient and experienced with animals that may be shy, energetic, or require special care (including medication administration or those who prefer being the only pet around). I love going on walks, playing fetch, visiting local parks, and spending quality time with pets so they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. (Nature walks are my favorite too!) It’s truly a privilege to care for dogs and cats, and I treat every pet like my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family soon! 🐶🐱 I am available for Cat and dog/house sitting starting January 4th, 2026. I am looking to sit with Cats but small or older dogs are fine. I am available to sit in : Peninsula, East Bay, (specfic neighborhoods I love are: Berkeley, Alameda, Piedmont, Rockridge, Temescal ), San Francisco, and surrounding areas. When I am at a clients home I treat their cat or dog with love, respect, guidance, and warmth. I approach pets for the first time slowly to give them a chance to sniff me or rub noses with me/check me out. Once I get to know the pet then I engage in play, cuddling and assuring talk.
“Kate did a great job walking our giant and rambunctious Labradane, Winston. We needed her last minute and she was very responsive. She always showed up on time and Winston immediately took to her very well. I loved the report cards & Winston was very happy when he got home. Thanks so much!”

About: Hi! I'm Eva, and I enjoy caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. What sets me apart is my personalized approach—I take the time to understand each dog’s unique personality, routine, and specific needs to provide the best care possible. I respect and prioritize my clients' expectations, ensuring your dog's comfort and happiness are always my top priorities. I’m also very active, so whether your dog needs leisurely walks, multiple outings a day, or even runs to burn off energy, I’m happy to accommodate! Additionally, I have some flexibility in my work schedule, allowing me to adapt to your dog's routine and provide the care they need when they need it. My goal is to deliver attentive, loving care tailored to your dog's individual needs. Caring for your pet is an essential part of my routine, and I make it a priority to ensure each pet gets the care they need. I have the flexibility in my work to take on pets with varying needs, whether they are more independent or require extra attention and care in their routine. On a daily basis, I dedicate time for walks, feeding, and play, following any special instructions provided by pet parents. Weekly, I also set aside time for grooming or extra exercise as needed. Whatever the schedule is, I’m happy to accommodate and make it work to ensure your pet receives the best care possible! Your pet's safety and care is my number one priority. I pay close attention to them whether it's during walks or playtime or feeding time. I also take routine and instructions to the "T" - meaning if you are deliberate in your instructions on how to care for them, I will follow them accordingly. **I will send you photos/videos of your pet regularly!
“Eric was great, my dog usually poops on his walks and he didn’t poop on one of them so he spent an extra ten minutes walking him to get him to poop. Communicative and responds quickly too.”

“Kelsy is very reliable and takes good care of my dog, Mocha. The communication is very easy with Kelsy. I will definitely book with Kelsy again in the future! Thanks Kelsy!!!”

About: I was once a dog owner before they passed of old age. So I know that each dog has their own personality, quirks, and habits like any family member. After my dog passed, I volunteered at surrounding local shelters to help dogs in need. I have experience giving medications and helping dogs with joint problems thrive. I understand that dogs not only need love, they also require habits and treatments that helps them thrive even if they may not like it. I’m currently in-between jobs, so I have a lot of time to spend with your pet. I’m available Monday through Friday from 11 AM-7:00PM; Saturday-Sunday 4 PM-11:00PM For pet care at a pet guardian’s home, I will follow the instructions on the daily habits of the dog as given by the pet guardian. I will play, observe, feed, and let dogs out for potty. I am also able to give dogs their medications if needed. I will walk dogs usually in the morning and the afternoon. I tend to keep doors and any entry-points locked and closed just in-case a dog is a “runner” or a “wanderer”.
“Miriam is very responsive and communication with her is easy. She was also flexible and worked with our schedule to make dog walking work well. Our dog was always happy to see her and we felt was taken good care of. Thank you, Miriam!”

“My dog Chewie loves Lydia for her walk. She’s reliable, communicative, and on-time (sometimes early even). Gives updates on how the walk goes, even with pictures. 10/10 would recommend Lydia for dog walking.”

Castro Valley dog parents share their Rover experiences
Sui is great! First off, he responded to my dog walking request within 5 minutes! Very impressive! Upon acceptance, he asked pertinent questions in relation to Django’s mannerisms. Sui was punctual and arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled time, which is definitely a plus in my book! Just for reference, Django is a 70 pound Japanese, male Akita. He is very loyal and protective of his humans and so I’m usually weary when he meets new people. Django seemed to take to Sui without a problem. If needed, I would definitely contact him to walk Django, without any hesitation!

10/10 would recommend! Bret took my request even if it was a last minute booking and he was so nice my dog likes him! He sent photos of their walk, came back on time and my dog came back definitely happy and probably tired since as soon as he got home he just went to sleep ☺️
