“Lydia is an amazing dog walker for Hazel, always reliable and caring each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Hazel adores her, and Lydia’s expertise shines in Hazel's improved walking behavior. Her warm and professional approach gives me complete peace of mind. Highly recommend Lydia for anyone seeking a dependable dog walker!”

“Kim was extremely nice to our pets and did a great job with the dog walk. Her Rover card included a detailed description of their walk and the photos were appreciated. 10/10!”

“Bailey was very punctual and friendly. She was patient with our dog, Gracie, who didn't always want to go for her daily walk. She patiently coaxed Gracie to try to get her to cooperate. When Gracie refused to go, Bailey played with Gracie in the backyard or brushed her and continued to interact with her. Gracie was always happy to see Bailey.”

“I highly recommend Zen for dog walks. She’s incredibly patient and has a great vibe and energy. I’ll definitely be using her for dog walks in the future. Thank you again for walking Viktoria!”

“Natalia was very patient with our border collie who can pull a lot during walks and is over all too energetic most of the time. Her walks really helped Millie be happier during the day before we came hom!”

“I was thoroughly and pleasantly surprised by how quickly Henry bonded with Brian. Brian was not only efficient and effective but also timely and professional. It was an absolute delight to have him around, both for me and my dog. I highly recommend Brian and will definitely continue using his services through Rover in the future.”

About: I took care of my aunt’s dog named Batman for 8 years until my aunt moved away. Ever since I have always enjoyed taking care of animals like dogs, cats, hamsters, fish and chickens! I currently work Sun-Thurs from 1pm to 9:30pm. I don’t have anything that needs my attention before I need to get to work! I am fully free Friday and Saturdays! I have a fenced yard and a dog park down the block. I have an old crate that can be used if needed and no other dogs or cats in the home.
“Nicky took SUCH good care of our dog. We were nervous about leaving our pup but Nicky updated us very frequently and my anxious dog loved her. Nicky gave her so much love and it made us feel so good about being away from our pup knowing how good of hands she is in. My pup is a reactive dog and Nicky was able to handle her better than we even can. I’m so grateful to have had her take care of our pup. Couldn’t ask for better! :)”

“Daria is an exceptional pet sitter who has a remarkable ability to connect with our pups. Her patience, love, and compassion are evident in her interactions with them. She has a keen understanding of our dogs’ unique training styles, and they readily follow her lead. I highly recommend Daria for any pet care needs.”

About: I have a 70-pound dog who is 6 years old. She tore both of her cranial cruciate ligaments (CCL), and I took care of her when she was unable to walk during her surgery recovery. I am very comfortable with walking dogs (even large ones!), using firm but gentle commands, brushing their teeth and fur, and cleaning up after them. I am also working as a part-time Veterinary/Kennel Assistant, and through this role, I have learned to measure and record canine vitals (weight, temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate); safely restrain and position dogs during vaccines, blood draws, and ultrasounds; observe canine behavior and monitor for blood pressure measurements and fluid therapy; and more! I have a very flexible schedule and I’m currently able to work most weekdays at any hour! I can adjust to whatever works best for you and your fur babies :) My primary goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for your pets! I am detail-oriented, responsible, and communicative. I am truly an animal lover (all of my undergraduate education focused on working with animals, such as sea urchins, harbor seals, baby sharks, coyotes, and more!). I have also had pets for most of my life, and they are truly part of my family. I care for my pets by ensuring that they are happy, healthy, and stimulated. If I had the honor to take care of your pets, I would absolutely do the same! :)
“Thank you Dani. I appreciate how well you communicated via the app on your availability and even your arrival for Harley’s walk. Our boy got a good walk today and he’s a happy dog.”

“Dakota and Jaclyn were outstanding! They were available on very short notice, which was a huge help while we were away. They took the time to understand Beaux’s routine, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure they understood every aspect of his care before getting started. They were responsive to updates and adjustments, communicated well throughout the visit, and gave us confidence that Beaux was in great hands. It’s clear they genuinely cared about doing the job right, not just completing the visit. We truly appreciated their professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. We would absolutely book with Dakota and Jaclyn again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, compassionate pet care.”

“Laura has helped us care for our senior dog in the most loving way! She provided daily walks for Delilah, she was always prompt, had great communication, and put my mind at ease.”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I have a playful 5-year-old cat at home who I've trained to shake hands, roll over, spin, and even play dead—yes, really! I believe in building trust and bonding with every pet through positive, calm interactions. Over the past few years, I’ve also helped care for a senior golden retriever and another friend's cat, so I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and energy levels. Whether your pet is energetic and curious or shy and slow-moving, I’ll meet them where they are and treat them like family. I currently offer drop-in visits and dog walking only. Photos Guaranteed! I love capturing special moments and will always send lots of pictures during each visit so you feel connected and reassured while you're away. If you’re looking for someone responsible, patient, and genuinely excited to spend time with your pet, I’d love to help. Feel free to reach out—I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I'm available Friday through Monday all day, and Tuesday to Thursday in the early mornings (7:00–9:00 AM) and evenings (7:30–8:30 PM). Let me know what works best for you—I'm happy to accommodate whenever I can! I will hold the leash tight if we meet any dogs or human on the way, if your dog is too excited I will use my body to block the sight.

Cassandra has been taking care of my boys since early May. She is reliable, punctual, thoughtful, and caring. During their first week together, she left me a Polaroid photo of my boy, which was such a nice surprise. I really appreciated the photo and the text updates she sent. Thank you, Cassandra! Monty is always happy to see you and enjoys your visits.

This was my first time having Gagandeep walk my dog, but I will surely use him again! He was on time, prompt, pleasant to talk to and got on fine with my dog! Highly recommend him! Might also add that my dog is not small. He is a big, energetic dog! And he came home happy and tired -- which is what I hoped for!

Charlie did an amazing job taking care of Nova! He was so encouraging and patient with her, helping her feel comfortable enough to go to the bathroom during their walk. He took her on a lovely, calm walk where she was able to relax, explore, and get some good exercise. By the time they got back, Nova was completely tired out in the best way—happy, settled, and ready to go right to sleep. You can tell Charlie really cares about the pets he looks after and makes sure they feel safe and well cared for. I would definitely trust him again!

As a recurring client, I can confidently say that April continues to provide the most exceptional care for our pup. Her consistency and genuine love for animals make her stand out from any other walker we’ve ever used. April is truly awesome, and we are so grateful to have her as our regular walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
