“I had an amazing experience! She gave constant updates, photos, and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She was incredibly accommodating, super friendly, and truly great with Maverick. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does. I highly recommend her — Maverick adored her!”

“We were looking for a new sitter because our usual sitter was unavailable for an upcoming trip. At the meet and greet with Robin, we were worried when Shamu barked every time she got up and walked around. It always takes time for our cautious dog to warm up to new people. Robin suggested that Shamu stay with her to make certain that they would get along. Wow, we were surprised by the glowing reports and Robin told us that Shamu was a gentleman! Robin and Daniel's loving ways won over our little dog. We are looking forward to using them again.”

“Mary was a phenomenal cat boarder! We’d never boarded our cats before and Mary allayed all our worries. She is very knowledgeable and experienced with cats and has a wonderful space set up for the ones she’s boarding. We received multiple, thoughtful updates and pictures on the cats each day and Mary reached out when there was information about their care that we had forgotten to provide. She also went above and beyond spending time hanging out and playing with them. We highly recommend Mary and will certainly rebook with her the next time we need to board our cats!”

“Olivia was a truly fantastic sitter for our fur baby, Dani! I was concerned because Dani's separation anxiety was pretty bad when I dropped her off, but Olivia was awesome. She provided frequent updates and photos that showed Dani was actually very comfortable and relaxed during her stay. I'm so grateful and highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life caring for many different breeds and personalities. Most recently I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback but have also had Labradors and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in the past. I work from home and am only gone for a 1-3 hours during the day. My wife works from home and will be with the dog to keep them company. I have 2 kids aged 2 and 4 who are home after 5:30pm and all day on the weekend I have a fenced in yard with grass and plenty of room for the dog to roam. Dogs are allowed on our couch and bed as well.

“Arryonna was absolutely amazing!! She took great care of our wild puppy for a whole weekend. She updated me daily with pics & videos. We met ahead of time to be sure everything felt comfortable when introducing our pup to her own animals. I can’t say enough good things about our experience”

“Natalia is the best with my puppies. She sent pics everyday and spoiled them so much. I extended the stay of my pups and she did above and beyond to accommodate my request. We were so lucky to find her and my pups love her.”

“Our dog had a wonderful stay with Angela and Joshua. Lots of play with the other dogs and nap time too! We got regular updates and videos, so knew continually that he was in good hands. We plan to have him stay again on our next trip. Thank you for such great care of our furbaby!”

About: I have been providing home-style dog boarding and pet care since 2017, with over 9 years of hands-on experience. I also worked for two years at a professional dog boarding and daycare facility in San Francisco and have experience in animal rescue. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, especially puppies, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs with anxiety or special needs. What sets me apart is my small, home-based care approach. I only accept 1–2 dogs at a time, which allows me to provide full attention, a calm environment, and truly personalized care for each dog. I am patient and attentive, and I adjust my care based on each dog’s personality to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I stay at home most of the time and have a flexible schedule, so caring for pets is a natural part of my daily life. I take dogs out for walks, feed them, and spend time with them every day. I only accept a small number of dogs so I can give each pet plenty of attention and care. Home-style care in Castro Valley. Only 1–2 dogs at a time, never more than a small pack — so every visitor gets personal attention and a calm, consistent routine. Quiet indoor spaces to nap, multiple walks outside each day, and free meet-and-greets before any stay. I've been caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more since 2018 and specialize in small and medium dogs under 45 lb.
“April and Josh did an amazing job taking care of my GermanShepard-Husky Stella. They sent me many photos and videos of how she was doing. My dog is usually very uncomfortable when I am away but she quickly adjusted to staying with them and their very sweet golden named Boba. I would highly recommend them”

“Izzy took such good care of our dog. He sent pictures and updates multiple times a day. They treated our dog like he was a part of their family. We were nervous using Rover for the first time. Izzy made us comfortable leaving our dog with him and his family. We will only leave our dog with Izzy going forward.”

“I was so nervous because my fur baby Deuces has always stayed with my parents. Gianina, was really great, she stayed in touch with me and sent me wonderful pictures of my baby. When my dad picked him up and my mother saw him she said he looked happy and well taken care of by Gianina. I will definitely use her again. Thanks for taking care of my baby and making me feel comfortable in knowing that he was in great hands.”

“Lea is amazing. She took wonderful care of my Riley! I've never left him with sitter before & I was anxious but she put me at ease & Riley was happy with her. I would recommend Leah to anyone!”

“We highly appreciate the help from Siu Kei for taking our Drei for 4 days during family trip, and recommend his professional service. Siu Kei always gave us timely update about the status of Drei, and do his best to ensure Drei can get along with other dogs. We definitely will come back for asking his help again in the future.”

“Sarentuya was wonderful with my dog! She can be pouty and refused to go on walks, but she was so patient and gave her lots of love and attention instead. I really appreciated the photo updates and knowing she was comfortable and cared for. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

“Kimberly is truly a superstar. She is SO thoughtful, thorough, and reliable. She really tried to give my cat quality time and engagement the hour she was there each day even though he’s not always the friendliest guy. She was so attentive to him and wrote far more than necessary - but it was really comforting to hear the report of how he’s doing in detail. She is the mature caring trustworthy pet sitter you want!”

“Lia did an incredible job taking care of my 2 cats. She was great at communicating and providing updates/pictures on how my cats were doing. I felt comfortable leaving them in her care during my short vacation.”

About: Hello! My name is Elise and I’m a dog walker with lots of personal pet training experience that specializes with reactive dogs both large and small. Just give me a list of things your pup may struggle with or that you want them to learn and I will do my best to help them learn to emotionally regulate on walks, around other dogs and people, or just while at home when I’m pet sitting :). I can also write you progress reports and training that should be continued at home for the best results. I can also offer my help to older dogs or dogs with arthritis or other joint/muscle issues. I am a certified personal trainer and a lot of the things I’ve learned about human muscles and pain relief also apply to puppy bodies. Disclaimers: I do not take dogs on off leash walks unless it’s at a private gated property I do not walk multiple dogs in one session as this will often cause/increase reactivity. Depending on how reactive your dog is, how new they are to walks, and how strong they are, I strongly suggest having a muzzle and, in severe cases, may require that they have one for a session. I can always help recommend the most comfortable one for your pet as my 90 lb dog needed one for walks in the beginning of training and still needs it for vet trips :) I taught her that it’s not a punishment and desensitized her to it by associating it with positive things like treats and now she helps me put it on her. I work from 6 am - 9 am every weekday morning and have therapy on Wednesdays at 10. Outside of that, my other commitments are flexible and my main focus is on building my clientele here on rover :) I plan on fulfilling any need/chore my client’s owner lists for me and I offer free training when wanted. Outside of that, I pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and potty/feeding schedule to ensure they are fed on time, let out for potty, taken out for walks, and played with as needed and in a way that is most fulfilling for their breed. For example, I play herding games for herding breeds, lots of training and learning tricks for working breeds, etc. I also love to help dogs with arthritis or other joint/muscle issues by massaging them. I am a certified personal trainer and a lot of the things I’ve learned about human muscles and pain relief also apply to puppy bodies.

“My cats warmed right up to Demi! It was a great peace of mind having her stay in my home with them so they wouldn't be bored or lonely with an empty house while I was away on a weekend trip. Demi was communicative and sent frequent updates and pictures, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Thank you Angela for taking care of our Vader while we were away. We appreciate the extra care of bringing in our mail, cleaning his litter box, and giving him a brushing.”

“Supriya did fantastic. We have total peace in mind knowing she was there and everything was well taken care of. Thanks for checking everything like his litter box, food, health, etc. We appreciate you looking after our little angel baby and sending us the most adorable photos. “Krystle was amazing with our cat! She helped with all the things I asked for and went above and beyond and helped with other things like ant invasion when we were away. She was extremely patient and sweet with our cat that was hiding under the couch during her visits. She was able to get our cat to play with her after couple of days, thanks to Krystle’s gentle approach. I was comfortable being away and knew that my cat was being treated well and taken care of. I 100% recommend Krystle! She’s truly the best. I’ll definitely reach out to her if I need a sitter again.”

“Denise was great for a drop-in visit for our two kitties while we were out of town. She had great communication and took great care of our girls. We would definitely use her again!”

“This is a late review....Christina had pet sitter for my 3 babies in July for over a week span. Talk about someone who knows how to handle shy pets and very vocal pets! Christina did an EXCELLENT job looking in on my babies. I received a prompt visit report and Christina took the time to get to know my fur kids and spent time with them. If you are looking for a great fur sitter, Christina is THE ONE!”

“Keone was a wonderful dogsitter! He was reliable, communicative, punctual and took good care of our dogs. I highly recommend Keone to care for your pups while you are away. They will be in good hands.”

“Cindy was such a great sitter. Winnie was super excited to meet her and seemed immediately comfortable. They had a day running around town and resting at the house. I’d definitely ask Cindy to watch Winnie again!”

“Angela took great care of my dog! She was very kind and kept me updated throughout the day, which I really appreciated. It made me feel so reassured knowing he was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter!”

“She was incredibly patient and caring with my puppy. Since he hasn’t completed all of his vaccinations yet, she was able to accommodate him by only watching one dog at a time, which gave me great peace of mind. She regularly sent me photos and updates, so I always knew how he was doing. She also helped with his potty training and was very attentive to his needs. I could tell she genuinely cared about him and treated him like her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and responsible dog sitter! I will definitely rebook her if needed in the future! Thanks Yan!”

“Natalia is a great care giver to my dog. She walked my dog for a long time which my dog loved and enjoyed accompanying to my dog. I’ll ask her again. I would appreciate more pics if I could ask. Overall, she is great.”

“Robin and Daniel are a very kind couple! Very personal and friendly. My dogs will definitely be coming back for more stays! I felt very good about being my dogs with them. Thank you guys!”

About: I have experiences with Senior care and basic training for puppies. I watch their body languages carefully to know when to pause a play and what they need from me :) Leia and I usually go for a walk in the morning, around 5 in the afternoon and quick bathroom break before going to bed. I work from home most of the time so id love to help to care for another dog so they’re not depressed alone at home whole the parents are off to earn money for their their pawbills 😝 I help to care for friends dogs when they need and I feed them together but separately so they don’t get food aggressive. I also monitor toys so it doesn’t create fights. Because I have Leia, I know the struggle and guilt feelings when you have vacation planned and need to leave the pup. I try my best to give lots of updates and pics so the humans can enjoy their time away as well.
“Harper was an incredible find for us, and we couldn't be more grateful! This was our first time using the Rover app, and we were in a bit of a bind. A family member who usually puppy-sits our young Chihuahua had to cancel last minute, leaving us scrambling for a solution. Enter Harper. After finding the app and seeing her glowing reviews, we booked her on ultra-short notice. The drop-off was pretty hectic—our little pup was already stressed out from the sudden change, and poor Harper had to step in under less-than-ideal circumstances. But she handled it like a pro! When we picked him up, he was completely calm and relaxed—a huge testament to Harper’s care and patience. She had taken him on a walk to the park and made sure he felt safe and happy. We’re beyond impressed with her professionalism and warmth. Harper has our highest recommendation, and we’ll definitely be turning to her again in the future!”

“Tatiana walked my dog three times while staying at her house and gave her good exercises. She let my dog playing at the park and hanging out with her ground children. I’m sure that my dog had a good time. She also took good care of her by checking her food, trying to feed her until she got enough. She is a good walker and caregiver as well. I’m happy and comfortable to leave my dog with her.”

“Our pup Eevee loves her daycare with Angelica! She's happy to see her when we drop her off and always so tired afterwards. Angelica even gave her a bath and she smelled so good after, even gave her bows! Angelica takes good care of her and is thoughtful too, gave us little gifts and takes pictures throughout her stay. We're happy to find a sitter we and Eevee can feel comfortable with.”

About: I have experience taking care of dogs because I grew up with them. Being around dogs has always felt natural to me, so I understand the basics of feeding them, walking them, playing with them, keeping them comfortable, and paying attention to what they need. I’m gentle, patient, and attentive, but I’m also playful, so I enjoy making sure dogs are not just cared for, but actually happy and engaged. I know every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I would always respect the owner’s instructions and take time to understand what works best for their dog. I’m currently in college and home for the summer, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I’m available for walks, playtime, drop-ins, and consistent care throughout the week. I’m happy to work with your dog’s routine and make scheduling easy for you. I care for pets by keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I would follow their instructions carefully, whether that includes feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication, or general house rules. I want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. For walks or visits, I would stay aware of my surroundings, keep dogs secure on their leash, avoid unsafe situations, and pay attention to how they’re acting. My goal is for the pet to feel cared for and for the owner to feel relaxed knowing their dog is safe and in good hands.
“Kim was extremely nice to our pets and did a great job with the dog walk. Her Rover card included a detailed description of their walk and the photos were appreciated. 10/10!”

“Cassandra has been taking care of my boys since early May. She is reliable, punctual, thoughtful, and caring. During their first week together, she left me a Polaroid photo of my boy, which was such a nice surprise. I really appreciated the photo and the text updates she sent. Thank you, Cassandra! Monty is always happy to see you and enjoys your visits.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 15, I am almost always the one called when friends and family need sitters while they are away. I am a part time worker and student, although most of my work is on the weekends and many of my classes are online. Scheduling is particular on Tuesdays and Wednesdays due to work and class but please contact me so we can find a suitable time! I care for pets in other’s homes with a large degree of care and respect for both the home and the pet, only going where instructed/allowed and I usually try to engage with the pet a bit as they can feel very lonely.
“Jackie and Jannalea were very sweet and patient with my dog Ponyo. Ponyo got her walks and they managed to take the same route that I usually do without my prompting! Got photos and updates each time so I knew what was going on. Wouldn't hesitate to book again!”

About: Hi! I'm Eva, and I enjoy caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. What sets me apart is my personalized approach—I take the time to understand each dog’s unique personality, routine, and specific needs to provide the best care possible. I respect and prioritize my clients' expectations, ensuring your dog's comfort and happiness are always my top priorities. I’m also very active, so whether your dog needs leisurely walks, multiple outings a day, or even runs to burn off energy, I’m happy to accommodate! Additionally, I have some flexibility in my work schedule, allowing me to adapt to your dog's routine and provide the care they need when they need it. My goal is to deliver attentive, loving care tailored to your dog's individual needs. Caring for your pet is an essential part of my routine, and I make it a priority to ensure each pet gets the care they need. I have the flexibility in my work to take on pets with varying needs, whether they are more independent or require extra attention and care in their routine. On a daily basis, I dedicate time for walks, feeding, and play, following any special instructions provided by pet parents. Weekly, I also set aside time for grooming or extra exercise as needed. Whatever the schedule is, I’m happy to accommodate and make it work to ensure your pet receives the best care possible! Your pet's safety and care is my number one priority. I pay close attention to them whether it's during walks or playtime or feeding time. I also take routine and instructions to the "T" - meaning if you are deliberate in your instructions on how to care for them, I will follow them accordingly. **I will send you photos/videos of your pet regularly!
“Tira had such an amazing first week with Kate. She usually takes a while to warm up to people but I can tell she already loves her. So happy to have found Kate and am looking forward to seeing all of the cute pics from their walks!”

About: I have over 8 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I truly love what I do. While I specialize in small dogs, I’m comfortable with medium-sized pups too. I’ve cared for pets of all ages — from playful 10-week-old puppies and kittens to sweet senior pets who just need gentle walks and extra attention. Every pet has their own personality, and I’m patient and experienced with animals that may be shy, energetic, or require special care (including medication administration or those who prefer being the only pet around). I love going on walks, playing fetch, visiting local parks, and spending quality time with pets so they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. (Nature walks are my favorite too!) It’s truly a privilege to care for dogs and cats, and I treat every pet like my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family soon! 🐶🐱 I am available for Cat and dog/house sitting starting January 4th, 2026. I am looking to sit with Cats but small or older dogs are fine. I am available to sit in : Peninsula, East Bay, (specfic neighborhoods I love are: Berkeley, Alameda, Piedmont, Rockridge, Temescal ), San Francisco, and surrounding areas. When I am at a clients home I treat their cat or dog with love, respect, guidance, and warmth. I approach pets for the first time slowly to give them a chance to sniff me or rub noses with me/check me out. Once I get to know the pet then I engage in play, cuddling and assuring talk.

“Momo had an amazing stay with Scott and his family. He was well-cared for and we received daily updates. Momo came home very happy and well-exercised. Scott was also very flexible with scheduling and accommodating to keep Momo for an extra night (at short notice!) when our flight was delayed. We will definitely use Scott’s services again to board Momo and would whole-heartedly recommend him for anyone looking for someone to take care of their fur-baby when they are away. Thanks Scott!”
