“Natalia was very patient with our border collie who can pull a lot during walks and is over all too energetic most of the time. Her walks really helped Millie be happier during the day before we came hom!”

“I highly recommend Zen for dog walks. She’s incredibly patient and has a great vibe and energy. I’ll definitely be using her for dog walks in the future. Thank you again for walking Viktoria!”

“Kim was extremely nice to our pets and did a great job with the dog walk. Her Rover card included a detailed description of their walk and the photos were appreciated. 10/10!”

“Nicky took SUCH good care of our dog. We were nervous about leaving our pup but Nicky updated us very frequently and my anxious dog loved her. Nicky gave her so much love and it made us feel so good about being away from our pup knowing how good of hands she is in. My pup is a reactive dog and Nicky was able to handle her better than we even can. I’m so grateful to have had her take care of our pup. Couldn’t ask for better! :)”

“Daria is an exceptional pet sitter who has a remarkable ability to connect with our pups. Her patience, love, and compassion are evident in her interactions with them. She has a keen understanding of our dogs’ unique training styles, and they readily follow her lead. I highly recommend Daria for any pet care needs.”

About: I took care of my aunt’s dog named Batman for 8 years until my aunt moved away. Ever since I have always enjoyed taking care of animals like dogs, cats, hamsters, fish and chickens! I currently work Sun-Thurs from 1pm to 9:30pm. I don’t have anything that needs my attention before I need to get to work! I am fully free Friday and Saturdays! I have a fenced yard and a dog park down the block. I have an old crate that can be used if needed and no other dogs or cats in the home.
About: I am a dog lover and lived with dogs my whole life. I have taken care of dogs on and off for the past 8 years including boarding, house-stays, and walks. I currently have pretty flexible schedule and can make my hours fit for you - if there is a time conflict I will make sure to inform you and propose another time (if applicable). I cannot currently board dogs in my home (my dog is going through cancer treatment), but I am happy to do house-stays or walks. I ensure pets have their boundaries respected and I will ask plenty of questions to understand your pet’s personality and potential reactivity.
“Damien has been very professional while walking on X. Beyond that, he has been kind to him. It’s very obvious when he returns from his walks that he’s been well treated. I give this individual five stars for his work, and hope he can continue to walk on Onyx on occasion.”

About: I’ve always loved pets especially dogs, excited to get your pet some outdoor time! I’m happy to walk any kind of pup and can promise lots of pets and positive affirmations. I work from home so my schedule is flexible, looking to get outside to break up the day and take pups out for some outdoor time and exercise. I am very observant of pets behavior and provide care based on their specific needs. I have worked with anxious pets and am comfortable with techniques to soothe pets and create a calm environment.
About: Every dog is treated like part of our family. Unlike many sitters, we board only one family’s dog(s) at a time, so your pet receives our full attention in a calm, low-stress home environment. Because I’m home most of the day, your dog will enjoy plenty of companionship and won’t be left alone for long periods. We welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes and have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, and dogs that require daily medications. We’ll keep your dog’s routine as close to home as possible—from feeding and walks to playtime, potty breaks, and medications—so you can travel with complete peace of mind. Throughout your dog’s stay, you’ll receive plenty of photo and video updates, so you’ll always know they’re happy, safe, and having a great time with us. I’m a stay-at-home mom with a 12-year old daughter and a 3-year-old son. Our family recently said goodbye to our beloved dog after 14 wonderful years, so I understand that pets are truly family. Because I’m home most of the day, your dog will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care. We board only one family’s dog(s) at a time, creating a calm, low-stress environment where your pet can feel safe and comfortable. Our fully fenced yard provides a secure place to play, and I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine—including walks, feeding schedules, medications if needed, and plenty of love—so they feel right at home while you’re away. We’re a dog-friendly family with a secure, fenced backyard where your pup can play, relax, and enjoy plenty of fresh air. With your permission, dogs are welcome on the couch and are treated like part of our family during their stay. My children love animals, so for everyone’s safety, all dogs must be friendly and comfortable around kids, with no history of aggression toward children. We board only one family’s dog(s) at a time, providing a calm, low-stress environment with plenty of individual attention. I provide daily neighborhood walks based on your dog’s routine and needs. Longer walks or hikes are also available for an additional fee. Throughout your dog’s stay, I’ll send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

I have a playful 5-year-old cat at home who I've trained to shake hands, roll over, spin, and even play dead—yes, really! I believe in building trust and bonding with every pet through positive, calm interactions. Over the past few years, I’ve also helped care for a senior golden retriever and another friend's cat, so I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and energy levels. Whether your pet is energetic and curious or shy and slow-moving, I’ll meet them where they are and treat them like family. I currently offer drop-in visits and dog walking only. Photos Guaranteed! I love capturing special moments and will always send lots of pictures during each visit so you feel connected and reassured while you're away. About: Hi! I’m Atusa — a lifelong animal lover with decades of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds and personalities. I’ve been around animals my entire life and have had my share of cherished companions. From playful puppies and curious kittens to senior pets needing gentle care and medication, I’ve seen and supported it all. I genuinely enjoy long walks with dogs, quiet lap time with cats, and creating a calm, loving space so your pet feels safe, seen, and comfortable while you're away. I have experience with reactive dogs, special-needs pets, and animals who thrive with a little extra patience and understanding. Whether your pet is shy, spunky, anxious, or aging — I tune in and meet them where they are. I’m reliable, communicative, and treat your home and animals with the same care and respect I give my own. You can count on me for clean, calm, and compassionate care every time. IPet care fits naturally into my daily rhythm. I work primarily online, which means I have a flexible schedule and spend a lot of time at home. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, regular walks, and a calm, consistent presence throughout the day. Whether your animal needs structure, companionship, or just someone to hang out with, I’m available and present — not just dropping by between errands or rushing out the door. At this time, I only offer in-home visits and house sitting at my clients’ homes. I find that most pets feel happiest and most secure in their own familiar space, with their routines and surroundings intact. When I’m caring for pets in your home, I treat it with the same respect and care I would my own. I follow your instructions closely — whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, medications, or favorite toys and snuggle spots. I aim to keep your pet's routine consistent and stress-free, so they feel safe, calm, and well loved while you're away.

Zen is a pet whisperer! My two active cattle dogs were super relaxed post-walk, so I know that Zen was a calming presence and helped them get their move on! I have already booked Zen for another walk and plan to book Zen several times a month when work pulls me away from home.

Jonathan was fantastic with Roman this weekend! His communication was excellent from start to finish. He kept me updated throughout the walk and sent photos and videos so I could see Roman having a great time. He also made sure Roman was fed and taken care of exactly as instructed. It's clear Jonathan genuinely cares about the pets he looks after, and I felt completely at ease knowing Roman was in good hands. Would absolutely book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive rover!

Angelica walked my 2 dogs this week while I was out of town and my husband, who works overnight, was asleep. I was worried as my dog Cali can be a bit feisty to new people but she seemed to warm up to Angelica very fast! Both dogs seemed to have a great time on their walls from the pictures Angelica shared with me. She is communicative, responsive, and responsible, and we will definitely book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
