“Astrid was a lifesaver! The dog sitter for my active Aussie Shepard/pitbull mix had a medical emergency and she agreed to watch my Lola on a week’s notice. Lola can be a handful (she is very hyper until she gets used to people and is reactive towards other dogs) but Astrid and her family were so sweet and patient to Lola that she settled in quickly. Astrid provided updates regularly which reassured Lola was well loved. Will definitely hire Astrid again to dog sit Lola since Lola had such a great time!”

“Alisha took really good care of Barry, my German Shepherd. Barry really enjoyed his time over at Alisha and was a really happy boy. He was fed and entertained well. I would highly recommend Alisha.”

“Angélica and her family were awesome! They took such good care of my girl, provided regular updates including photos and video. They have a lovely home with a yard, take time to walk and play with your pet, and even helped train/reinforce training for tricks. The questionnaire they provide prior to booking helps prevent forgetting any important details. I absolutely will ask them to watch Lilah again in the future.”

“This was our first time using Rover and so glad we met Cindy. She was easy to talk to and put us at ease very quickly. Our dog was immediately comfortable and loved the weekend stay. We got pictures and updates daily. Will definitely book again!”

“Meghan was great with my dog. He took to her right away. She sent text messages with pics that let me know what he was up to. And she accommodated me and my pick up time which was later than agreed upon. I would definitely use her again.”

“Matthew and Van Jospeh did a wonderful job hosting our dog, Stanley, for a 2 night stay. They were very easy to work with, were flexible, very friendly, and Stanley seemed at ease the moment he met them. Would absolutely use their boarding services again. Thank you!”

“Mary is fantastic! She takes good care of Stella and takes her for long walks everyday. Mary follows all of the necessary diet and medicine instructions, and keeps me updated on my baby while I'm away. She has two lovely dogs herself, who are like a little pack that my dog can be a part of. I have already booked with Mary twice and will definitely do so again.”

“Tatiana and Lenin took amazing care of my high energy dog. They gave her lots of attention, took her for long walks and played with her, and sent me lots of pictures and videos throughout her stay so I was reassured that she's being well taken care of. I couldn't have taken better care of her myself and I would recommend Tatiana and Lenin's services to anyone. I'm looking forward to booking with them again in the future.”

“Lea is my first sitter experience using Rover. Our kennel of 13+ years shut down and we had to find a new boarding arrangement for our 14.5 year old dog, Kazie. Sadly, she’s got anxiety and dog aggression so that limits our options for care. Thankfully, we found Lea! She took AMAZING care of Kazie during our 2-week vacation. I had low expectations since my kennel experiences have been mixed, but Lea made it a flawless experience for us and particularly Kazie. Our dog came home healthy, happy, and well-cared for. In fact, Kazie tried to run back into Lea’s house upon pick-up! We booked our next time with Lea before we finished our vacation. We couldn’t be more pleased to find a great sitter for Kazie!”

“Jocelyn was amazing! We got lots of updates and photos of our pup during her stay with her! 🥰 She was also accommodating to our pups needs and comforted her as she was afraid of the fireworks on the 4th. Definitely recommend to book with her she was great!”

“Harper was our first dog sitter for our 6 month old puppy Mac, and she was amazing! I really appreciate how Harper kept us updated throughout the day with photos and videos. Thank you Harper! 100% rebooking with you next time!”

“Kendal was so great with Raven and very easy to work with. She got Raven to relax and cuddle by day 2 of knowing her which is a huge deal for our anxious little rescue baby!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life caring for many different breeds and personalities. Most recently I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback but have also had Labradors and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in the past. I work from home and am only gone for a 1-3 hours during the day. My wife works from home and will be with the dog to keep them company. I have 2 kids aged 2 and 4 who are home after 5:30pm and all day on the weekend I have a fenced in yard with grass and plenty of room for the dog to roam. Dogs are allowed on our couch and bed as well.

“Our dog, Luna, is usually nervous meeting new people, but Robert knew this and handled the first introduction in a very calmed manner and got Luna comfortable enough to stay with him overnight. He was very nice and understanding of Luna’s needs. In her first overnight stay, he sent us a couple of updates with pictures and one video. We will using his services in the future as he put us at rest with Luna and was super good at communicating before and during her stay. Thanks Robert!!”

“I couldn’t be more grateful to Emerson for taking such wonderful care of our pup while we were on vacation. Lilo can be a bit challenging—she’s in her teenage years, after all—but Emerson handled everything with knowledge, patience, kindness, and genuine care. He kept our girl engaged, happy, and loved every single day. We especially appreciated the photos and videos Emerson shared, which gave us peace of mind knowing our pup was in the best hands. We will definitely be choosing Emerson again when the time comes—he’s truly a phenomenal sitter, and we feel so lucky to have found him! Thank you Emerson!!!”

“Thank you Izabela for sending frequent and loving updates during Beau’s first stay. She is very detail oriented in observing Beau’s behavior, which made me feel comfortable boarding Beau with her! Also appreciate her for putting dogs’ safety first. Already booked our next boarding with her :)”

Meghan took great care of my dog Bear. It’s hard to find someone who is comfortable with handling my 100 pound Great Dane/Doberman and Meghan did it like a pro. Bear can get pretty anxious in new places but Meghan was able to help him adjust at his own pace. Meghan has a great backyard for the pups and the house is set up with dogs in mind. There was another dog boarding at the same time as Bear so he had a little friend during his stay. I didn’t know what to expect since this was my first time using rover, but after meeting with Meghan I felt so much better and knew Bear was in good hands. 🐻🤍

From the moment I met Julia, she made me feel completely at ease and confident that Oakley was in great hands. It was clear that Oakley felt comfortable and cared for, which meant so much to me. In the updates i could tell that Oakley was happy and well looked after the entire time. I am incredibly grateful for the love and attention she and Michael gave Oakley.

Briana is always amazing and so great at communication, someone you can trust! She sent daily photos and updates for us while we were gone. We also had a transfer during our time away and she asked all the right questions and kept us so reassured about everything. Thank you!

Tatiana and Lenin took amazing care of my high energy dog. They gave her lots of attention, took her for long walks and played with her, and sent me lots of pictures and videos throughout her stay so I was reassured that she's being well taken care of. I couldn't have taken better care of her myself and I would recommend Tatiana and Lenin's services to anyone. I'm looking forward to booking with them again in the future.

Pearl and Jason are the best. Couldn't have been happier with the way this sit went. It was our first time dropping Lou off at a sitter's house (we usually have sitters stay at ours) so we were a bit nervous. We were reassured right away and got lots of pics and videos of Lou having the time of her life playing at the park and hanging out with her new buddies Ryu and Chewie. When we came to pick her up she was tired and happy, and also clearly sad to leave - she kept looking back at Pearl and Jason lol Thank you for taking amazing care of our girl. She's counting down the days until next time! Highly recommend!

Izabella is the best, and she has a beautiful family. Her personal dogs are very well taken care of. Short trip for us, and her family dealt with my dog's needs the best. Olive came home and greeted us and went straight to sleep for the remainder of the day. Highly recommend and will be back for our next boarding need. Thanks Izabella and family

OMG, I cant say enough about Yorleth!! She was the Best! She took Hefner to the marina and sent pix, he looked so happy having fun :) I will definitely re book with Yorleth-She is a true doggie lover. I always get good sitters with Rover, but, Yorleth was by FAR the Best and My Favorite!!!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
