Doggy Hostel, fun for your pup!
Hi, Meghan here, I have always been a dog-lover. I live in Oakland with my mom, a fellow dog-lover! We allow our furry friends on the couch, but can also work on furniture-boundaries if your pooch isn't allowed on furniture at your own home. I work from home, so I'll be home most of the day during the weekdays. The longest your pup will be home alone (with my pups) is around 5 hours. We are comfortable with big dogs, and can give medications, and can brush your pooch as well! Here's a little about us: Meghan has been a dog-lover since birth. She grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Treesa loves pups of all sizes! About my yard We have a fenced backyard. My experience administering medication We are comfortable administering oral medication. **We do have a Potty Clause. We understand accidents happen, and are very forgiving, as pups are often excited and can't help themselves at first. However, we have occasionally had extreme repeat offenders. We take dogs on the basis that they are potty trained. If we feel there are an excessive number of indoor incidents, we will let you know, and ask for a $10 additional fee (per week, or fraction thereof), to cover the cost of laundry and cleaning supplies.** Thanks!

My little monster loved his stay!
Meghan has taken wonderful care of my fur baby two times now for long one week stays. She’s responsible, attentive and keeps open communication throughout my travels to ensure peace of mind.
Meghan did a great job caring for Cas and Nova. They were well cared for, settled right in and made themselves at home, and came back healthy and happy! We also appreciate Meghan’s flexibility adjusting the schedule for us. We will be staying with Meghan again soon!
Meghan took great care of my dog Bear. It’s hard to find someone who is comfortable with handling my 100 pound Great Dane/Doberman and Meghan did it like a pro. Bear can get pretty anxious in new places but Meghan was able to help him adjust at his own pace. Meghan has a great backyard for the pups and the house is set up with dogs in mind. There was another dog boarding at the same time as Bear so he had a little friend during his stay. I didn’t know what to expect since this was my first time using rover, but after meeting with Meghan I felt so much better and knew Bear was in good hands. 🐻🤍
TERRIBLE DOG SITTER!!! I will never use Meghan again. While I was told I would be receiving lots of photos, videos and updates while I was out of town, I ended up having to reach out first. Some days I wouldn’t even hear from her. When I would get a response, it was something along the lines of “she’s fine” or “she’s doing good” or “she’s so cute and soft”. with a single photo (if we were lucky). My husband and I were constantly worrying about how our dog was doing our entire vacation, which honestly was super disappointing and took away from us being able to enjoy our time away. While her profile mentions that she lives with her mom, what it fails to mention is that her mom was going to be the one taking care of my dog. When we dropped Aria off for her stay, Meghan was no where to be found, and she had her mother (who we had NEVER met before), take aria for us. Meghans mom also guaranteed lots of videos, pictures and updates. I never received one message from her the entire vacation. We were so anxious to get our dog back, the day finally came. I messaged Meghan letting her know our ETA yet once we arrived at her door, none of our dogs things were ready to go, she was entirely unprepared. She didn’t even know what leash was ours. Beyond disappointed with my experience.
Meghan did an amazing job taking care of our two huskies! We truly felt like she treated them like her own. She sent regular updates and photos. One of our pups required medicine and was on a special diet for a few days and Meghan was diligent about making sure he got both. We were gone for 10 days and felt at ease knowing our pups were with Meghan. We will be rebooking in the near future!!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard. Security gate at my back door means fresh air without escape opportunity. We're working on installing a dog door, so that should happen later this year!
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We love taking pups for walks. We're in a very walkable neighborhood with a park nearby. Your dog's sleeping arrangement The dog can sleep either in one of our bedrooms or on one of the many dog beds, or in a crate, if one is provided. Time I'll spend with your dog One of us will be with the dog most of the day, with up to 5 hour stretches (infrequent) where the dogs may be home alone (without a human). Because we have differing schedules, we can provide ample dog-cuddle time.
