“Cindy was fantastic with Navy Bean. She was able to easily navigate his particularities and handle his medicine and potty schedule. She always communicated thoroughly any questions she had or what Bean was up to during the days/nights. She sent me many pictures of Bean and even a few videos. Cindy is kind, polite, punctual, and thorough. I would highly recommend her for whenever you need your dog cared for.”

“Mary and her husband were great! They had a separate cat room where Misty stayed and was super communicative and flexible around pick up and drop off times. Mary also sent a lot of pictures and kept us updated throughout our cat's stay which we really appreciated. She even went out of her way to get special treats for our cat early in our cat's stay when she had a limited appetite. Overall, we definitely recommend her to others and are planning on having Misty stay with them again. :)”

“Jonathan and Tatiana did an amazing job of taking care of Edu! He had a great time at their place, having lots of fun with their pup Olivia, and they sent updates while I was away to know he was doing great. I would 100% recommend them!”

“Adrienne and Edgar are awesome!! They were super responsive during our initial communications and sent plenty of photos of our Lula to reassure us that she was fitting in well in their home. Highly recommend booking with them!”

“Irene and her family were absolutely wonderful with Chantilly while I was away. I felt completely at ease throughout my trip thanks to the frequent updates they provided, which were so thoughtful. It was clear they took great care of her, and it was heartening to see that their family dog, Kenzie, and Chantilly became total besties by the end of the stay. I highly recommend Irene if you’re looking for peace of mind and a loving environment for your pet while you’re away.”

“Natalia is the best with my puppies. She sent pics everyday and spoiled them so much. I extended the stay of my pups and she did above and beyond to accommodate my request. We were so lucky to find her and my pups love her.”

“Harper is an amazing sitter! She replied promptly and and sent us pictures/updates throughout the day. Lulu had a great time with her. We will definitely be booking with her in the future again.”

“Absolutely wonderful from start to finish! Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. I had a few specific instructions for my pup’s stay, and not only were they followed perfectly—they even offered helpful suggestions and kept me updated with pictures and videos the whole time. The level of care and attention my dog received was outstanding, and I could tell he felt right at home the moment we arrived. There’s a warm, calming energy in this home that you can feel immediately and clearly, my pup felt it too. I’m beyond grateful and will definitely be booking again whenever I’m out of town. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to see you all again soon!”

“Giancarlo was supper accommodating and took great care of my dog. I wasn't there to drop my dog off, but I was not worried at all. Super professional, would highly recommend :)”

“Nina was great and my pet was happy staying in her home. Nina communicated well and before booking with her we met so my pet can get to know her before the stay. During my vacation, Nina would send me pictures of my pet and messages about how she was doing. I was satisfied with her care and would definitely recommend her to others and use her again in the future. Thank you!”

“Sarentuya was wonderful with my dog! She can be pouty and refused to go on walks, but she was so patient and gave her lots of love and attention instead. I really appreciated the photo updates and knowing she was comfortable and cared for. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

About: I have been providing home-style dog boarding and pet care since 2017, with over 9 years of hands-on experience. I also worked for two years at a professional dog boarding and daycare facility in San Francisco and have experience in animal rescue. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, especially puppies, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs with anxiety or special needs. What sets me apart is my small, home-based care approach. I only accept 1–2 dogs at a time, which allows me to provide full attention, a calm environment, and truly personalized care for each dog. I am patient and attentive, and I adjust my care based on each dog’s personality to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I stay at home most of the time and have a flexible schedule, so caring for pets is a natural part of my daily life. I take dogs out for walks, feed them, and spend time with them every day. I only accept a small number of dogs so I can give each pet plenty of attention and care. Home-style care in Castro Valley. Only 1–2 dogs at a time, never more than a small pack — so every visitor gets personal attention and a calm, consistent routine. Quiet indoor spaces to nap, multiple walks outside each day, and free meet-and-greets before any stay. I've been caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more since 2018 and specialize in small and medium dogs under 45 lb.
“Jocelyn is the most amazing person! I didn’t think my high anxiety dog would be comfortable with anyone but she treats him as if he were her second dog. She walks him daily and spoils him with love. I completely trust her with my baby and I’m so happy to know that he loves her too. I feel relieved to know he is in good hands when I’m away.”

“Gus had a fabulous experience staying with Izzy and his family. It is obvious that Izzy loves dogs as much as we love our pups. He sent pictures and commentary to ease this helicopter mom’s nerves. Gus was happy, well fed and tired from playing. I can’t say enough good things about this stay. We will definitely bring Gus back knowing he is in such competent care.”

“Our maltipoo Biscuit was incrediblely happy staying with Shuvashna. Getting the pics of loving a belly rub was very heartwarming. I felt good when I dropped her off, but I now trust Shuvashna completely.”

We’ve boarded our min pin, Pippa, with Nathaly for over 10 years. Nathaly is a truly kindhearted person and dog lover. She is accommodating and professional. Pippa is anxious and usually hates being away from us. But she loves seeing Nathaly! We are so grateful for her help over the years and the love and safety she provides to Pippa.

Kimberly went above and beyond for my senior dog while I was away for a long weekend. My sweet boy Ace is 18, so he doesn’t do much other than sleep! However he does have lots of health issues and is a really picky eater, so I was nervous to leave him. But Kimberly made me feel so much better while I was away. When he didn’t want the food I’d sent him with, she shared some of her own dog food and even cooked some other things for him that he liked. When he had an accident and fell into his poop (he has very weak legs from arthritis), she gave him a bath. She sent updates throughout the day every day and it was such a comfort to me knowing what good care she was taking of my sweet old man. I would happily book her services again! Highly recommend!

Robert was great! We loved getting daily photo and video updates, and our two Frenchies clearly had a great time with him. His dog-friendly backyard was also a huge plus! Our male Frenchie Otto can be difficult with new people, but he warmed up to Robert surprisingly quickly and seems to really like him now. That says a lot! 😊 Would definitely recommend Robert and would happily book with him again!

Samantha has been so warm and welcoming to us and our little Milly. There was open and constant updates with pics and videos. We knew Milly was in a safe, happy and healthy environment at Samantha’s. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing Milly was well taken care of!

We are so grateful and happy to have met Anita and Clement through Rover. From the very first message to the meet and greet and eventual stay, it’s clear how much they love dogs and what great people they are. Noodle immediately warmed up to them and even started snuggling up to them which she very rarely does (she is not cuddly at all). They were very patient and understanding about her needs, such as when she woke up at 5 am due to being in an unfamiliar place. It’s a bonus that they are really good at taking nice pics of Noodle too and we loved the humor they added to her daily commentary. 10/10 recommend!

Mariana is the best! She was super welcoming for the meet and greet and has a pack of her own... Everything went smoothly including administering meds and walks and dinner. She was very good at following the instructions (I have 2 very geriatric dogs that need a lot of specific attention!) and easy pickup process. I will book her for the future as she is super close by.. Thank you Mariana!

We couldn’t be happier with Adrienne and her family! They took such wonderful care of our Tigger during his 3-day, 2-night stay. They treated him like part of their family, gave him lots of attention, took him on walks, and sent us plenty of pictures and updates. Seeing how happy and comfortable Tigger was gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Tigger also enjoyed spending time and playing with their dog, Nigel. It was clear when we picked him up that he felt safe, loved, and very comfortable with them. We’re truly grateful to Adrienne and her family for taking such good care of our boy. We definitely found a family we can trust with Tigger and would happily have them watch him again. Highly recommended! ❤️🐾

Our dog Murphy had another great stay with Angelica and her family! She had a fun hike, did enrichment activities, and generally made herself at home. Murphy is always so happy to be there. Thank you Angelica! You make it so easy for us to travel and know that Murphy is taken care of and treated like family.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
