Some of my greatest teachers have been the dogs who have shared their lives with me: Alaska, Toby, Polly, and now my beloved Siberian Husky, Coquito, whom I rescued from the streets of Mexico. They were never simply dogs in my life—I became part of their stories, just as they became an important part of mine. I also independently created and ran a small dog rescue in Mexico. While working a regular job, I dedicated the rest of my time—and much of my personal income—to helping dogs living on the streets. Without sponsors or outside financial support, I provided rescued dogs with food, veterinary treatment, vaccinations, spaying and neutering, companionship, and, above all, genuine love. I still treasure many photos of the dogs I rescued and cared for throughout that chapter of my life. He sat our 2 labs and they immediately took to him when we met him prior to booking - rare for our yellow, who sometimes gets a bit nervous around new people, but he was immediately at ease.
