“Wow, I’m glad we found Mike! First, he was extremely responsive. When we messaged looking for boarding for our dog in about a weeks time, he replied quickly and set up a meet and greet for the next day. He replied quickly to all our messages bout logistics. Second, he has a great combination of attentiveness and no-stress. He asked all the usual questions about our dog, and wanted to get to know her needs. When meeting Bowie for the first time, he read he body language as other dogs went by and even guessed “she isn’t been to this park before, right?” Which was true. Our dog isn’t used to socializing much with other dogs, so we were a little nervous about leaving her with another dog in the house. But Mike was very relaxed and confident about it, without being minimizing. We could tell that he reads dogs carefully and knows his dog well which made us feel comfortable that he could manage the two dogs interactions well. Finally, Bowie clearly had fun! We got some great pictures of her on hikes, lounging in the yard, and napping on the couch - her kind of vacation! My only hesitation in leaving a positive review is that other people might snag the future dates we want for boarding 😁”

I’ve owned and raised dogs throughout my life—one lived to 17 years old, and I currently have a 3-year-old friendly miniature poodle. I personally house-trained both of my dogs and have strong hands-on experience with daily care routines, including feeding, walking, bathing, nail trimming (for cooperative dogs), and light grooming such as basic haircuts. I’m comfortable managing a structured, calm environment and have experience caring for multiple pets at home, including my two outdoor cats. Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine. We are a family of six, and I am home 24/7, so dogs will never be left alone for long periods. I have a flexible schedule that allows for regular walks, supervised outdoor time, and attention throughout the day. My large gated property makes it easy to provide safe exercise, and we structure the day to keep dogs calm, engaged, and well cared for. Dogs in my home are treated like part of the family. I provide a calm, structured environment with 24/7 supervision, so your pet is never left alone for long periods. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, and any special instructions. Dogs enjoy supervised outdoor time on our large, fully gated property, as well as long walks in our safe, dog-friendly neighborhood. Safety is our priority—we introduce dogs carefully, feed separately when needed, and adjust supervision and leash use based on each dog’s personality. I walk my dogs 2 times during the day and 1 more time before bed. A few times a week, I bring them to Civic Park to socialize with other dogs before dinner. Once a week, I drive them to a nearby nature reserve for a hike. I feed them breakfast and dinner. Same if not more care will be given to your doggies. There are two fenced dog parks in my building that are treated daily with enzymatic chemicals. If your dog has sensitive skin, I will not bring them there to potty.

About: I've had dogs my entire life and currently share my home with two Miniature Schnauzers, Frank and Peri. After 20 years in Moraga and now as an empty nester, I have the time and flexibility to focus on something that brings me genuine joy—spending time with dogs. I started offering care because I could never find a place where I felt completely comfortable leaving my own dogs. My goal is to provide the kind of environment I would want for Frank and Peri: plenty of outdoor time, freedom to explore, comfortable places to rest, and lots of personal attention. I've cared for dogs of all ages, including many senior dogs, and I welcome potty-trained puppies. Along with a small team of trusted staff members, we focus on keeping dogs active, supervised, safe, and happy throughout the day. Every dog is treated like part of the family while they're here. I designed this to be the kind of place I always wished existed for my own dogs. When I needed care for Frank and Peri, I was never completely comfortable with the idea of them spending their days running through a stranger's house, jumping on furniture, or sleeping in someone else's bed. I wanted a place that was professional, safe, active, and built around what dogs actually enjoy. So that's exactly what I've created. We operate more like a boutique daycare and boarding facility than a typical home stay. Dogs spend their days in a large, flat, fully fenced backyard designed for play, exploration, socialization, and relaxation. They have plenty of room to run, places to nap in the shade, constant access to fresh water, and caring supervision from me and my staff throughout the day. A typical day starts around 6:30 a.m. with outdoor play and activity, followed by a midday rest period and more socialization and exercise in the afternoon. In the evening, dogs settle into the Dog Den, our dedicated sleeping area designed specifically for their comfort and safety. The goal is simple: a place where dogs can be active, social, safe, and genuinely happy while their owners are away. My home is designed to be a safe, comfortable place for dogs to be dogs. The property features a large, flat, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to run, roam, play, and explore. There is always access to fresh water, shade, and comfortable places to rest. Dogs are free to move between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day while under supervision from my staff and me. At night, dogs sleep in a dedicated room we call the Dog Den. Dogs may sleep in their crate if that's what they're accustomed to, or comfortably outside a crate if preferred. Owners provide their dog's regular food so we can maintain familiar routines and avoid digestive upset. Whether your dog is a playful youngster, a laid-back adult, or a beloved senior, we strive to provide a safe, loving environment where they can relax and feel at home while you're away. I'll care for your dog the same way I care for Frank and Peri—with attention, patience, affection, and respect for their individual personality and needs.
