“Vicki always does a great job taking care of my dog and she keeps me posted throughout my dog’s stay. I can tell from her pictures that my dog feels safe and comfortable with her.”

About: ⸻ Hi, I’m Darya — your pet’s new best friend. 🐾 With over 16 years of experience as a dog walker and pet sitter, and a background working in a veterinary clinic, I bring a deep understanding of animals and their needs. Whether it’s a playful pup, a senior cat, or a nervous rescue, I care for every pet with patience, love, and a whole lot of heart. Animals have always been a huge part of my life — they’re not just pets, they’re family. I pride myself on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where your pets feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. Whether you need daily walks, overnight care, or just someone to keep your furry friend company, I’m here to help — with experience, kindness, and plenty of belly rubs. Let’s make tails wag and hearts happy Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. With over 16 years of experience in pet sitting and dog walking — and a background working in a veterinary clinic — caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I truly love. I’ve shaped my schedule around being there when your pets need me most, whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or extended stays. I approach each day with patience, reliability, and a calm energy that animals respond to. Your pets’ comfort and well-being are always my top priority. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In your home, I always respect your space and stick closely to your pet’s routine — from feeding schedules and walk times to their favorite toys and nap spots. I create a calm, familiar environment so they feel secure while you’re away. I also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I offer a cozy, clean, and peaceful space where they can relax, play, and enjoy lots of one-on-one attention. I carefully introduce them to the space and tailor everything to their individual needs — whether that means quiet corners, slow-paced walks, or plenty of playtime. No matter the setting, your pet’s well-being is always my top priority.

“I chose Patrick to request a Meet & Greet because I liked what he said in his profile, he keeps a clean house and a clean dog! When my daughter & I met him and his cute little doggie, Sophie, in person, we felt really good about our choice. Patrick is very is easy to communicate with, he is on top of things, and just a nice guy. Sophie is perfect for our little 5 month old CockaPoo - very mellow and gentle. Patrick is also really great about helping us train our pup. I appreciate the pictures he sends so I can see how Cookie is doing. I look forward to future bookings with Patrick & Sophie.”

“Valerie was amazing with my dog, Bailey. We had a meet and greet at the park, and Valerie is so knowledgeable and loving towards the dogs. Bailey warmed up to her right away. Valerie picked Bailey up at my house and spent the day walking her a few times and having the dogs play at her house. She sent me pictures during the day. I will definitely use Valerie’s services again, and I highly recommend and trust her to take good care of your dog,”

“Barsha was absolutely amazing! This was my first time using Rover for my 11 month old Havanese-Shih Tzu-Poodle mix (Puka) and Barsha made it so easy. Her communication was insanely quick when I sent a last minute day care request and she explained how it all worked. The day of day care was amazing, I got tons of pictures and videos and when I picked Puka up she was so happy! Barsha felt like family immediately and I will be using her again for Puka's care!”

About: At my house, your dog will be in a cozy family environment with my two friendly pugs! Other than my two dogs, yours will be the only dog in the house. I only accept one dog at a time! No contact with unknown dogs over here :) After years of watching dogs for friends and family, I decided it’s time to take it professional! I am a knowledgeable dog lover, a remote worker, and I have a great (fenced!) backyard. After an early wake up and garden time, we have puppy breakfast and then a snuggle sesh! During the day we alternate between downtime in the office/free roaming and outdoor breaks when weather allows. Outings happen in the evening, we love the east bay regional parks! If we don’t have time for an outing, we bust out the backyard toys to still get in a good chunk of playtime :) Banshee (1.5, pug mix) is always down to play tag with pups that have more energy, and Azula (6, pug) is ready for a couch nap partner all day long My large backyard is fully fenced, to keep my two small dogs safe. Even so, we never leave dogs unsupervised! I am a lover of (force free!!) crate training to keep dogs safe and secure when left alone for short periods of time, but as a remote worker this is rarely necessary. I am knowledgeable of plants and foods that are dog toxic, and am experienced in dealing with allergies and other minor health issues and I am comfortable giving medication.

“Jennifer was amazing! My 2 pups are full of energy and can be a handful, Jennifer had no issues. She worked with my schedule of dropping them off early and was flexible with my pick up times. My pups spent 3 days with her and her two other wonderful dogs. They came home each night tired and happy. Jennifer has a backyard area where they played and had toys and beds to lounge on. Will rebook her again!”

“I reached out to Mia last minute as our regular sitter fell threw. She quickly responded to my request and was great with our maltipoo pups. They were calm and happy after we picked them up. Thank you, Mia!”

About: I’ve been working with animals since my teenage years, including 2 years at a pet store and assisting at multiple dog expos starting at age 16. I’ve owned and raised dogs throughout my life—one lived to 17 years old, and I currently have a 3-year-old friendly miniature poodle. I personally house-trained both of my dogs and have strong hands-on experience with daily care routines, including feeding, walking, bathing, nail trimming (for cooperative dogs), and light grooming such as basic haircuts. I’m comfortable managing a structured, calm environment and have experience caring for multiple pets at home, including my two outdoor cats. Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine. We are a family of six, and I am home 24/7, so dogs will never be left alone for long periods. I have a flexible schedule that allows for regular walks, supervised outdoor time, and attention throughout the day. My large gated property makes it easy to provide safe exercise, and we structure the day to keep dogs calm, engaged, and well cared for. Dogs in my home are treated like part of the family. I provide a calm, structured environment with 24/7 supervision, so your pet is never left alone for long periods. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, and any special instructions. Dogs enjoy supervised outdoor time on our large, fully gated property, as well as long walks in our safe, dog-friendly neighborhood. Safety is our priority—we introduce dogs carefully, feed separately when needed, and adjust supervision and leash use based on each dog’s personality. Our friendly miniature poodle helps create a welcoming environment.
About: Hello! My name is Andrielle I’m a very experienced dog walker that you may see around Anywhere from Lafayette/Walnut Creek to Alameda out and about with one of my furry friends! I know the fundamentals of taking care of dogs and walking them professionally, while my philosophy is based on trust and respect (to dogs and their owners!) I currently have openings in my schedule to add more dogs into my day and am happy to work with you to find the right times that fit your needs! I have a car so I can come to you wherever you and your fur live! What I do normally is walk the dogs in your neighborhood, but if trail hiking is something you’re interested in for your buddy than that is also a possibility! I work with dogs young and old, so if your dog has energy we run, if your dog needs to take their time we go slow and enjoy the scenery. Anyways I like to think...dogs are born to run...and I’m ready to walk them! Thanks! I am able to give your fur baby my full attention because I am a full time dog walker. Other than being a dog walker I'm working on my real estate career in the side. Most importantly I am mother of two little ones that grew up loving dogs as much as their mama. I'm a passionate animal lover and am caring and know how important it is to take care of those you love so I will always be there when you and your fur baby need me. I no longer have pets in our home that's why I love taking care of your pets because I love animals! I follow instructions carefully to make sure that your little fur loves get everything they need!
“Great first dog sitting day for Zoe (pittie) at Michael’s. I was worried about Zoe and Michael’s dog (Delilah) getting along (Zoe is a follower who always wants to play and Delilah is an older dog), but Michael was able to allay my concerns and it appeared that D and Z did well together. Will update the review after my next dog sitting day at Michael’s this week!”

“Sarah was very professional and extremely easy to communicate with. Henna is very anxious when meeting new people and dogs, but seemed to warm up with Sarah who was very patient and caring with her.”
“Darren and his family welcomed us with warmth and kindness. We are nervous first time dog owners and were unsure how this new experience would go. Everything was clean and safe. Our pup immediately felt at home with Darren and his family. Darren was thoughtful, diligent, and practical when we talked about our dog's care needs. Our pup enjoyed walks, and got her regular meals and naps. When we picked her up, she was playing and happy. Her mood was great the rest of the night. We look forward to many more doggy daycare days with Darren and his family!”

“We felt so comfortable leaving our pup with Jennifer for the day! She sent pictures and videos throughout the day so we knew he was having a good day 😌. I would trust her again in a heartbeat! It even seems like our pup was ready to make a friend with hers. Coming back to a well taken care of, happy dog was the cherry on top of a great day. 10/10 - thank you Jennifer!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lafayette
Patrick and Journey had the BEST time at Barbara’s. They got to roam all over their house and yard and were spoiled with cuddles and naps. Barbara and her family are clearly dog lovers, and even sent a ton of updates to let me know what they were up to. I highly recommend and will definitely book again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lafayette commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
