About: I am a responsible and caring pet lover who enjoys spending time with animals. While I don’t have professional pet-sitting experience, I have helped care for pets of friends and family, including feeding, walking, playing, and providing companionship. I am patient, reliable, and will treat your pets with the same care and attention I would give my own. I am a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide reliable and attentive care throughout the day. I spend most of my time at home or running local errands, so I can easily fit pet visits, walks, feeding, and playtime into my routine. My partner also has a flexible schedule and is happy to help when needed, allowing us to provide consistent care and attention for your pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will follow your instructions carefully regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and routines to help your pet feel secure and comfortable. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, and I will provide patient, loving care while keeping you updated with photos and messages. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to create a safe, stress-free experience.

“Thank you for taking good care of Megatron, she sits on our laps alot at home so it’s great to know she’s comfortable at her day care and was able to do the same. Will rebook soon.”

“Our pup had another great visit with Darren and his family! She is happy and comfortable during drop off and pick up. She loves to play with their dog and they take her on walks. We are grateful for Darren M and his family doggie daycare.”

“Can’t say enough nice things about her and her boyfriend - I don’t think I’ve ever received this kind of genuine care from a sitter. If you want your dog to feel loved and cared for, please book her”

About: I have taken care of different categories of dogs for families and homeowners since 2016. The services that I am going to provide include but are not limited to grooming, bathing, feeding, and walking. I am available from Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. For boarding, I am available after 9 p.m. On weekend, I am willing to provide 24 hours services. Besides, 4 dogs are the maximum amount that I can be able to take care in order to ensure excellent services. Since I have employed fencing to create an area where the pets are being placed there, it provides for considerable safety and they can enjoy fun time

“Great first trial with Jess. Our dog Meeko is a rescue and has abandonment anxiety but she did good for her first daycare trial. Thank you Jess for taking good care of her. We look forward to putting her in your trusting environment for our upcoming weekend trip.”

“I reached out to Mia last minute as our regular sitter fell threw. She quickly responded to my request and was great with our maltipoo pups. They were calm and happy after we picked them up. Thank you, Mia!”

About: I have several years of hands‑on experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs. I am comfortable administering medications, following specific routines, and providing attentive, personalized care for each dog. I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and energy levels, and I’m always mindful of subtle signs of stress or discomfort. About: As a dog owner for 12 years, I can say that I am passionate about spending time with them. Something that sets me apart from other dog sitters is that I have been CPR/BLS certified and I have also taken online courses for pet first aid. Every month I watch refresher videos to grow my dog first aid, sitting, and walking skills. I can also come armed with yummy treats of your preference to help your dog get comfortable if needed and if requested by you! Dogs are something that have always excited me and making sure that I can help one be treated with lots of love is all I want. I am happy to walk and care for your dog like my own. Thank you for your time. I work from home full time and I would do this during my afternoons and evenings to get my mind off of the stress of work. I’m also a college student and I this would fund my tuition! I am willing to bring/make snacks or pick up a quick toy for your dog to help them get familiar with me. I will follow your lead on how to approach your dog! If you’re not sure, I’ll be cautious and try different strategies out.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pleasant Hill
Pam and her husband are wonderful! She is so kind and gentle, and from the minute we see her she’s smiling and welcoming us in her home. She’s a gem. My two dogs always seem so relaxed and happy to see her, and when we pick them up they aren’t stressed out or giving any signals to us that they aren’t happy. Just a fantastic experience.

Stacy was a wonderful host and dog sitter! Her friendly and mild manner quickly put shado at ease and she was very comfortable staying in her home. The backyard made potty breaks much easier and also room for extra play. Stacy was communicative and shared updates with pics throughout the stay. I knew Shado was in very caring hands. Highly recommend!

Sarah was awesome watching our Sugar for a few hours. She was very communicative and we appreciated the pupdates. Sugar clearly had a blast playing and we were relieved she was so well taken care of. We wouldn’t definitely reach out to Sarah next time we’re in town to watch our fur baby.

I had a last-minute photoshoot, and I needed someone to watch my dog at the last minute. Jamie did not hesitate. She asked a few follow-up questions and was eager to meet us the next day. I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Jamie. It was such a relief knowing Kaia was in such loving and capable hands. As a dog owner, it means everything to have someone you trust completely with your pup, and Jamie really gave me that peace of mind. She kept me updated with a ton of photos, which let me know Kaia was happy, safe, and well cared for. Finding someone this reliable, kind, and genuinely caring is rare. If you’re looking for someone to watch your dog and treat them with love and attention, look no further than Jamie.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pleasant Hill commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
