About: I'm a retired officer, background-checked through Rover, and have more than 10 years of experience caring for my own dogs as well as friends', family members', and clients' pets. Throughout my career and personal life, responsibility, trustworthiness, and attention to detail have always been important to me, and I bring those same qualities to every pet I care for. In 2016, I adopted Barney the Shih Tzu, followed by Jack in 2019. Both were estimated to be about four years old at the time. In 2025, Jack passed away from bone cancer, giving me firsthand experience caring for a senior dog with significant medical needs. In 2022, I rescued Penny, the white pup in my profile photo. Certifications & Experience • Cat & Dog First Aid (American Red Cross) • Experience administering oral medications • Experience caring for senior pets and pets with special needs • Experience caring for dogs and cats of various ages, sizes, and temperaments, including a large Rottweiler I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, consistency, and individualized care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, senior and slower-paced, or simply happiest sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to provide dependable care while helping them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and I'm home much of the time. This allows me to provide regular companionship, potty breaks, feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. Because I intentionally limit the number of pets I care for at one time, I am able to provide a more personalized level of attention and maintain a calmer environment for the pets in my care. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I strive to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. Consistency helps pets feel comfortable, secure, and relaxed while their owners are away. My schedule is generally flexible, allowing me to accommodate a variety of care needs, including daycare, overnight care, drop-in visits, and pet sitting in a client's home. Pick-up and drop-off service may be available depending on distance and scheduling. My dogs are part of the family and spend much of their time relaxing near us, on the furniture, or curled up on a lap. Visiting pets are treated with the same level of care, attention, and companionship while in my home. Dogs are welcome on furniture unless owners request otherwise. I intentionally limit the number of guest dogs I accept at one time to help create a calm, safe, and low-stress environment. This allows me to provide close supervision and a more personalized experience than many high-volume pet care settings. If you prefer your dog to be crated for sleeping, feeding, or when unattended, I'm happy to accommodate as long as a crate is provided. Visiting dogs should be reasonably housebroken, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis for puppies and special circumstances. Meet-and-greets are strongly preferred whenever possible before services begin. They allow me to learn about your pet's personality, needs, and comfort level while helping determine whether my home and care style are a good fit. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home, providing dependable care, companionship, exercise, and attentive supervision. I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, consistency, and respect. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment where pets can feel relaxed, secure, and well cared for while their owners are away.

About: We have a busy, loving home with 3 kids, one cat, & two dogs. If your dog loves to be with a busy family, we're the right place for you. I have many years of pet care experience including veterinary care and dog training experience (specifically, I've trained my own dogs through the Petsmart dog training program and passed the Canine Good Citizen test). I'm very comfortable around all types of dogs and animals. I've always treated my pets as part of our family and would always treat any animal in my care with the same devotion. We have three kids (ages 14-16) and they are all used to animals and they are very caring and love to play with all the dogs when they come home from school. The cats can easily avoid the dogs if they want to as they have their own outdoor catio and room. We keep our air conditioner on for our dog already during hot days so any dogs with thick fur will feel very comfortable. There's no carpet in our house so potty issues are easier to manage as well. I work from home, so other than errands or short outings the dogs have someone home with them nearly all the time. We have a gated kitchen so dogs can be separated if needed. We have a large fenced yard with a covered patio and when it’s too hot to be outside, the dogs are in the air conditioned house with us.
About: Been around dogs my whole life! Friends and family have relied on me to love and care for their dogs when they aren’t able to! Love doggos and just looking for some fun ones to spend time with :) I just moved here to join my husband and just want to fill the part of the days when I’m bored! I love getting out and walking, thought having a new companion with just me or with Dax too would be a blast! I will care for your pets in anyway you need! Great at following directions and will take care of your pet as if it were my own.
“Wonderful sitter and would definitely use her services again! Gen took great care of my dog and tortoise at my home while I was out of town. She followed my instructions regarding feedings and walks perfectly and even went the extra mile and brought in my mail, opened and closed curtains, brought up my garbage cans and watered plants as needed. My dog immediately liked her and when I got home I could tell he was happy and well cared for. She played ball, took him on walks around the neighborhood and to the park, and even tucked him in his dog bed at night. I loved all the cute pictures and regular updates she sent me. I felt completely at ease to enjoy my vacation knowing my pets were in such excellent hands. I will definitely be recommending her to all my friends and family the next time they are in need of an outstanding sitter! 😊”

“Tatiana was amazing and went above and beyond caring for our two cats, especially one who demands a lot of attention. She was communicative and left the house cleaner than we left it. I could tell she truly cared about our kitties which was helpful for a first time Rover user like me!”

About: I am a responsible and caring pet lover who enjoys spending time with animals. While I don’t have professional pet-sitting experience, I have helped care for pets of friends and family, including feeding, walking, playing, and providing companionship. I am patient, reliable, and will treat your pets with the same care and attention I would give my own. I am a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide reliable and attentive care throughout the day. I spend most of my time at home or running local errands, so I can easily fit pet visits, walks, feeding, and playtime into my routine. My partner also has a flexible schedule and is happy to help when needed, allowing us to provide consistent care and attention for your pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will follow your instructions carefully regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and routines to help your pet feel secure and comfortable. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, and I will provide patient, loving care while keeping you updated with photos and messages. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to create a safe, stress-free experience.
“Kamila was very knowledgeable and understood what was needed for my critters. She also sent pictures and updates and asked questions when needed. Very happy with Kamila and definitely book again next time.”

I have experience giving medication to cats, doing custom feedings for both dogs and cats as well as walking low maintenance dogs. I am looking to do drop ins for people in need. I work in Walnut Creek from 7-4pm daily with an hour lunch break. I live in Pittsburg. I’m available for drop in visits at 6am. 11:30am and after 4pm. As well as all day on weekends. I am open to short term over night care in the persons home, as my cat doesn’t do well with other animals. I’m looking forward to speaking with you! I currently work 645am-345pm with an hour lunch. “Stefanie is wonderful! She's very calm and kind, took time with the animals, and communicates well. She was very flexible as our schedule kept changing. Thank you Stefanie!”
“Absolutely do not hesitate to reach out to Megan for your pet care needs! At this point I don't even know how many times she has completed drop in visits for my two furry guys while we were away, they have been that numerous -- and all just wonderful! By now Megan has really bonded with both cats. The fact that they are familiar with her helps the time away from their sweet faces feel more bearable for me.”

“Halona is amazing you can tell she loves dogs. She really worked with our schedule and made sure Athena was well taken care of. We will be using her every time we need someone to watch our fur baby.”
“Elizabeth took terrific care of our high energy dog during a tough weather week! Petey was tired and fulfilled after her visits. She is also communicative, knowledgeable, and kind. We are grateful to have found her :)”

“Jessica was great! She was a great communicator and kept me updated with photos and videos so I could see my little fur angel while away. She even went above and beyond by offering to water my poor plants that I had just traumatized after repotting them! Jessica arrived right on time for our meet-and-greet and clearly understood how cats operate — giving Ree space to come to her first. I felt comfortable with Jessica knowing my cat (and plants!) were in such caring hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve owned and taken care of cats and dogs in the past 10+ years. Friends have relied on me to take care their pets (dog boarding/home visits) when They are away. For your pet, I will understand What your pet needs first, and take care of them as you usually do, not making them stressed about your away.

Tatiana is the best! She does amazing with my 4 cats who all need lots of love and affection and personalized attention. She gives each of them wonderful care and attention and she even got my very shy cat to warm up to her. She goes above and beyond with her care and attention to details of my cat’s health and well being and cleanliness of their boxes and room. Third time using her services and will use again. Absolutely recommend.

Sabrina was a great sitter! I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my cat was being well taken care of and that I would receive regular updates. Having that peace of mind is the most important thing for me when I’m away for an extended period. When I arrived home, it was like I had never left—my cat was happy, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. I would absolutely book with Sabrina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter. 🐱💕

Kat and Quinn saved the day when they agreed to a last-minute drop in request for our dog Ernie. They made the whole process so smooth and easy…and most importantly took great care of Ernie while they were here! They fed him his dinner, made sure that he had fresh water, took him out to potty and also gave him lots of snuggles and love. Because they were here taking care of him ,I was able to relax and enjoy my nieces high school graduation. 🐾🩷🐾🩷🐾 Thank you so much to Kat and Quinn! We appreciate you both! 🙏💕

Amanda was a great pet sitter for our cat! She was there on time and stayed for the full duration of each booking. We loved the different updates and pictures she sent with each visit, she was there to spend time with him. We could tell our cat warmed up to her quickly and enjoyed her company, which put us at ease during vacation. Will definitely be booking her again.

Daria was a fantastic pet sitter for our cat - very attentive and caring. She came by for a meet and greet first, which we really appreciated, and kept us updated with professional-quality, super cute photos and videos. Would absolutely book with her again.

My dog felt very comfortable around Adam, who was really accommodating in coming on short-notice and doing a quick play session to introduce himself to Champ. Adam was also very understanding about giving me updates on my dog throughout his visit. This was the first time my dog was left with someone else in months, and am glad it was with someone I felt I could trust!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
