Leaving your furbaby behind while you go on a trip or to work can be stressful so I go the extra mile to make sure yours are comfortable and safe when you have to leave them home. This also gives you the peace of mind to actually enjoy your time away! I am a loving and experienced pet sitter and pet owner with over 30 years of experience pet sitting and owning my own pets. In addition to having my own fur kids I also fostered for a local animal rescue. SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE Through my work with animal rescues, clients and my own fur family I have experience delivering medications, special diets and taking care of older animals. I also have extensive experience dealing with anxious pets including those experiencing separation anxiety and dog’s with leash reactivity. I have worked closely with one to the top dog trainers in the area as well as the Behavioral Veterinary Program at UC Davis for my own rescue dog and have had success applying that knowledge to my anxious clients. I also have extensive experience with cystitis and urinary/bladder issues in cats both with my own fur kids and clients. ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND I hold Bachelor and Masters degrees from top universities and was head of my department and on the company’s leadership team in my last three jobs before going full time in this work. While I loved my job, I left because I find this work to be so much more personally rewarding. It also allows me the flexibility to be more present with my son, who works this business with me as part of his homeschool curriculum. As a solo parent, I never thought that would be possible and I am so incredibly grateful to those of you that support this business that supports my family. That being said, I bring the same level of commitment and professionalism to this work as I did to my previous career - so your furbabies will get the best! HOW VISITS WORK Care for your pet is provided in their own home to relieve the stress of travel and a new place. I stick to their routines so they can feel as comfortable as possible while you are away. PLEASE NOTE - I do not charge per pet, puppy, holiday or extended stay fees. I charge solely based on length of time for the visit. Unlike other sitters, the rate you see is a flat rate for your visit. I am also happy to attend to other household needs while I’m there- adjusting lighting to give a “someone is home” look, watering plants, picking up mail, taking out trash bins on pick up day and bringing them back etc. 2026 CANCELLATION POLICY UPDATE: As noted on my profile cancelled bookings are subject to a 50% charge if cancellation occurs within 1 week of the booking beginning. Bookings the week of Thanksgiving and the last two weeks of the year that are cancelled within the same month that they occur will be charged as scheduled. I typically sell out at least a month in advance for these dates and cannot recoup the income lost from holding your space. Bookings cancelled the same day are charged as a visit.

Megan continuously takes great care of our two dogs. One is very old and requires help walking and extra medication and Megan fulfills every request and gives us the biggest peace of mind while we are working. We’re so grateful for her.

'Megan did another great job caring for our dear old cat-pills, ointments, supplements and more. She communicated any variation in visit time, asking if it would work, and noted changes in appetite Or behavior. We got photos documenting her work, and of our kitty. But mostly she built a relationship with our dear girl, spent time reading aloud with her, petting and giving cuddles! Megan is terrific- which is why we chose her again!
Megan always goes above and beyond! Our house was invaded by ants while we were away and she tackled it all as if it were her own home and pets ❤️ The level of service and Megan's unwavering sense of responsibility are always so impressive and appreciated!
Megan was easy to work with, and took great care of our Keiko. Giving her pills and loves, and provided photos of all she did! We will hire her again!

Schedule
MY SCHEDULE I do this work full- time and am available 7 days a week for your pet care needs whether it is a weekend getaway, longer trip or a reoccurring visit while you are at work. My personal calendar is updated six months to a year in advance and my Rover calendar reflects that. If I am not available for your booking I have referrals of other sitters that provide backup for me. I have known each of them personally and professionally for over 10 years that I am happy to provide their information to you. They also available for overnights.

- Prior to booking I like to have an in-person meet and greet were we go through your pet’s routine and any special needs or concerns I should be aware of. I like to do this so I can maintain as much consistency as possible while you are away to reduce stress.
