Hello! My name is Genna, and Welcome to my Rover profile! My love for animals began in childhood. Growing up, I was surrounded by pets of all kinds, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, hamsters, bunnies, and more. Caring for animals has always been a natural and rewarding part of my life. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and spent five years in Ventura while attending California State University Channel Islands, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In June 2022, I returned to the Bay Area and have continued pursuing my passion for animal care. How Pet Care Fits Into My Schedule I work full-time as an animal caregiver, so caring for pets is already a central part of my daily life. My experience and flexible schedule allow me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, and there's a good chance I can find a time that works for you and your pet. Holiday Availability Holidays are some of the busiest travel times for pet parents, and I understand how important it is for pets to receive consistent, attentive care while their families are away. Because of this, I keep my personal holiday commitments to a minimum and make pet care a priority. Whether it's a major holiday weekend or a special celebration, you can count on your pets receiving the same reliable, attentive, and high-quality care they receive any other day of the year. My goal is to provide peace of mind while you're away and ensure your pets remain happy, comfortable, safe, and well cared for in your absence.

Safety, trust & environment
I always ensure pet safety. Dog Walking & Drop-Ins - Always making sure your animal is properly strapped in their harness, gentle leader, etc. I always have a good eye out for anyone coming in any direction. I will care for your pets exactly like you would! I always double check everything on my way out "Is the door locked?" "Does Fido have water?" These are the things that keep me up at night(when they shouldn't). For Walks, Drop-Ins, and Housesitting, please provide your wifi information. It is possible that I will not get service in your home and I want to make sure I can get in contact with you during the service if needed. You can message it to me, put it in your profile, or write it on paper the day of the stay.

Genna was great with Nilly again! She went above and beyond to give us very detailed updates due to some concerning behavior Nilly showed right before we left. We felt comfortable with Genna because of her excellent communication! Thanks Genna!
Genna kept us very well updated on the kitties and was always responsive and easy to reach. The cats were clearly well taken care of and I felt very safe leaving them in her care.
Genna did a good job. Ramiel was fed and the cat box was clean. She also closed some windows and turned on the air conditioner as requested due to the heat. Thanks Genna!

Schedule
Pet care fits into my life 24/7 as I am a dog and cat mom myself! I do rover services every day, however I work 2 days a week at a local gym. I can be available almost any time you need me. Travel Housesitting: Does your dog love to hike or go to the beach locally? I would love to explore a new town with your pet! Meet and greets can be conducted via zoom and I am happy to travel up to 300 miles of the Bay Area! We would be a good fit if you are looking for an occasional dog walker or house sitter for a few days you may be out of town or even when you are at work! I am available to housesit in Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill, but unavailable for surrounding cities such as Alamo, Martinez, Concord/Clayton, and Lafayette. I am available to be a weekly walker if you needed me on a certain day and time. Meet and Greets Meet and Greets should be done in your home or via zoom so I can learn about the environment I will doing the service in. Meet and Greets should not be done in public areas such as parks. Walks and Drop-Ins: I would like to know where to locate your pets leash/lead/harness, food and water bowl, treats, trash for poop bags, and whatever else you would like to show me that would fit their needs. Housesitting: Please let me know everything from above, as well as which room you'd like me to sleep in, plant watering schedule, mail schedule, trash schedule, and whatever else you'd like me to do while you are away. Key Pick-Up and Drop-Off To avoid a pick-up and drop-off fee, please have your house key ready for me at the meet and greet or available under the mat/in a lockbox/hidden the first day of service.

- What is your pets daily routine? Does your pet have any quirks or habits? Is there anything you'd like me to know about your pet? When I perform In-House Services (dog walking & housesitting), will there be anyone else in the household or visiting? I.E. House Cleaners, Pool Cleaners, Contractors, Gardeners, Family Members, etc. Failure to disclose this information prior to services will lead to immediate suspension of services due to my safety and privacy. Will I have a guaranteed/assigned parking space? I am unable to accept requests where parking is not a guarantee. I rely on my car to get to the services I provide here. Are there any short steps (under 5 inches), stairs, flooring, or loose boards in your home or backyard that may be hazardous?
