Hi! I’m Lexi, a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I offer weekend dog boarding (Thurs-Monday), and full time cat boarding and I truly treat every pet like family. I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs, as well as other types animals, and I’m comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and needs. My husky, Nya, had developmental disabilities,and later became partially blind and deaf. She required very specialized, round-the-clock care, which taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to stay calm and responsive in more complex situations. I also recently lost my cat of 20 years, Kiki Bobo, which has made caring for others’ pets even more meaningful to me. It truly brings me joy to be able to give animals love, comfort, and consistency while their owners are away. My mom has run a home-based cat rescue for nearly 10 years, which has helped me gain hands on experience with cats of all temperaments — from very social to shy, anxious, or feral-leaning. In my full-time work, I support children with autism and developmental disabilities, working on challenging behavior and learning life skills. That experience has made me very patient, observant, and calm under pressure — all qualities that carry over into how I care for animals. I’m also CPR certified. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’ve also done pet and house sitting for a variety of homes, including caring for large gardens, farms, and maintaining household routines while clients are away. I recently relocated back to the Bay Area and am new to Rover, but I’ve been pet sitting & house sitting for years through referrals and word of mouth. I’m excited to expand and connect with more pet owners in the area. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I’m very communicative, love sending photo and video updates, and always follow your pet’s routine and care instructions closely. I’ve booked with Alexis twice now, and each time has been an amazing experience. My dog was recovering from ACL surgery, and I couldn’t have asked for better care. Alexis was incredibly attentive and made sure my dog’s recovery went smoothly. It was clear that Alexis truly cared for my dog’s well-being, providing the perfect balance of comfort and support during a tricky recovery period. What stood out the most was how responsive Alexis was. I completely forgot to pack my dog’s medication on one of my trips, and Alexis immediately helped coordinate the drop-off so my dog wouldn’t miss a dose. Alexis was also so friendly and sweet, sending me detailed updates about how my dog was doing – including eating habits, playtime, and sleeping. I really appreciated how thorough Alexis was in getting all the necessary details before the stay, including information about my dog’s vet, eating habits, and any other special needs. One more thing I loved was the flexibility with pickup times, which really helped fit into my schedule. I’ll definitely be booking with Alexis again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

Schedule
I currently work full time Mon-Fri. at my day job. I have a more open schedule on Thursdays and Friday, which is why I am open for part time overnight dog boarding for Thursday-Monday mornings. This limited schedule is to ensure I am able to give your doggie all the attention and love they deserve, and to accommodate their potty breaks. For cats, because of their lovely independent nature, I offer full time 24/7 care and boarding for all felines. While I am away at work, for extra security, I am always able to check in on your pet through my in home 24/7 HD 4k camera system. This ensures your pet is always looked after and guaranteed safe even while I’m away at work. I am always home early mornings and evenings during the week, and home most of the day for weekends. I always ensure your pets needs are all accounted for each time before I leave my residence. Drop off & Pick up times: For most weekdays, Mornings 5-7:45am or Evenings 6:30pm onwards. Thursdays I’m available additional times during the day, 5am-12pm for pick up/drop off. Weekends, I’m available to meet anytime.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities! Whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours, or going for a walk in the community with your pet. In my home, pets get a cozy, calm environment with plenty of love and attention. Your pet will get family-style care in a warm, loving atmosphere. Feel free to provide any bedding, toys, medications or any required items that might make your pet’s stay more comfortable or enjoyable. I also have poop bags, doggie beds, and toys for enrichment available at my residence, that are washed and sanitized after each pet’s stay. I have a toddler son who is gentle, respectful, and used to being around dogs of all sizes— including bully breeds like pitbulls, and small dogs like chihuahuas. My child will be supervised at all times. We’re a smoke-free home, and kid- and pet-friendly that’s focused on comfort and safety. Our fully enclosed, spacious outdoor patio is on the second floor and surrounded by 5-foot stone walls, giving your dog a secure place for potty breaks, sunbathing, and hangout time. For pups who need more exercise, we’re located in the heart of downtown concord, and just a short walk from parks and open fields where they can explore on leash. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow all instructions carefully and keep your pet’s routine consistent to help them feel safe and at ease. I am very comfortable and familiar with caring for pets and households that may have a long list of specific instructions, including medications that must be followed very carefully. I’m happy to follow any and all of those kind of requests. I’m respectful of your space, and always patient and gentle—especially with senior pets, rescues, pets with anxiety, or those with special needs. I have experience caring for and watching over animals with developmental disabilities and specific medical needs such as requiring multiple daily medications, special diets, or may have trouble seeing or hearing. I have also cared for dogs and cats whom have just had surgery, extensive medical procedures, and those that are terminally ill, with cancer. I’m safety-conscious in every setting: I double-check gates and doors, keep pets leashed in unfamiliar or open areas, and always watch closely for signs of stress or discomfort. My goal is to help your pets feel secure, relaxed, and truly cared for—like they’re part of the family.
A typical day
I tailor activities to each pet’s personality and needs. If public outings are permitted, I love going on walks, explore nearby parks, or do tug-of-war or fetch with the dogs! If remaining at my residence, my apartment complex has a beautiful, spacious, 2nd floor outdoor space that has a 5ft stone wall surrounding the perimeter. This allows pets to get plenty of outdoor time and easy access for potty breaks anytime. For cuddle bugs, I’m always down for cozy hangouts, belly rubs, and quiet companionship. Your pet is welcome to be with me wherever I go. If your pet prefers a more relaxed pace, we’ll keep things mellow and stick to their comfort zone. They are always welcome to retreat to the bedroom as a quiet zone. I only crate while I’m at work if that’s requested. But I’m happy to not use crates, and they’re free to roam if that’s preferred. I also have a security pet cam that’s able to live record 24/7 so I’m always able to check up on your pet even while I am away at work! I tend to check up several times throughout my shift just to see how they’re doing! I have a toddler who’s gentle and used to being around pets, so social dogs often enjoy the extra attention and playfulness. Cats will get interactive play (wands & toys!) and plenty of respect for their space when they want it. I adjust everything to your pet’s energy level, routine, and preferences. My goal is to help them feel safe, loved, and entertained while you’re away, I know they may miss their loved ones extra, so I try to make it the best time possible!

- It’s important for me to know about your pet’s routine, quirks, and any medical or behavioral needs ahead of time. Please let me know if they take medications, have allergies, anxiety, reactivity (toward people, kids, other animals, etc.), or any special instructions for feeding, walking, or play. (Overly reactive or aggressive dogs will not be the best fit for boarding due to young children being present in the home, so please let me know so we can be sure we’re a good match before booking!) If your pet has any fears (like loud noises, sudden movements, or unfamiliar people), I’d love to hear about that too so I can keep things calm and comfortable for them. I also appreciate a heads-up if they’re not crate trained, have separation anxiety, or tend to be escape artists! We do live in an indoor apartment complex which minimizes chance for escape. We have a detached outdoor space that is through the 2nd floor elevator, which also minimizes any risk of escape as we have no backyard connected to our actual unit. Only possible exit is our front door, which leads to an indoor hallway. The more I know about your pet’s preferences and personality, the better I can make sure they feel safe, happy, and understood in my care! Always happy to learn as much as possible!
