“Kylee was fantastic! Showed up on time everyday and my dog always came home tired and happy! She even went above and beyond to make sure Moose got extra care and attention.”

“Emily was great! I booked her day-of on a holiday weekend in a bind and she was super fast to respond, asked clarifying questions to make sure things went smoothly, and then sent lots of pics and reported back on how things went. She even stayed over a few minutes to make sure our dog went potty which was much appreciated. We will definitely use her again for dog walking!”

She showed up this morning for his walk, locked everything up appropriately afterwards, n sent pics on both visits. My babydog seems super pleased, as are we! We’re excited for more visits ?”

About: What sets me apart is my deep, hands-on experience raising animals from their earliest stages. I have over 10 years of experience caring for pets, and all of my own animals—a dog and two cats—were adopted from shelters and raised by me. This has given me strong instincts for understanding behavior, building trust, and creating a calm, safe environment for animals of all temperaments. I’m especially comfortable with young pets, helping them adjust to new routines, reinforcing positive habits, and providing consistent care. I’m also very attentive to each pet’s individual needs—whether that’s extra patience, playtime, or a structured routine. Because I treat every animal like my own, you can count on reliable, compassionate care and clear communication while you’re away. 🐾 Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. Since I’m currently not working, I have full availability and a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide consistent, attentive care any day of the week. I already structure my days around caring for my own dog and two cats—feeding, walks, playtime, and maintaining a calm, clean environment—so adding additional pets fits in seamlessly. I’m able to accommodate different routines, whether that’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening care, and I can adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s specific needs. Safety and trust are my top priorities, whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide consistent, stress-free care. In my home, I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-safe environment with plenty of supervision, structured feeding times, and regular walks or play sessions. I’m mindful of introducing pets slowly and only if appropriate, and I make sure each animal has a comfortable space to relax. In a client’s home, I respect their routines and follow all instructions closely—from feeding schedules to preferred walking routes and house rules. I keep the space tidy, provide updates with photos, and make sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment. I’m very attentive to safety at all times—secure leashes, monitoring behavior, and keeping a close eye on health or any changes. My goal is to make both pets and owners feel completely comfortable and confident in my care. 🐾
About: I'm a retired officer, background-checked through Rover, and have more than 10 years of experience caring for my own dogs as well as friends', family members', and clients' pets. Throughout my career and personal life, responsibility, trustworthiness, and attention to detail have always been important to me, and I bring those same qualities to every pet I care for. In 2016, I adopted Barney the Shih Tzu, followed by Jack in 2019. Both were estimated to be about four years old at the time. In 2025, Jack passed away from bone cancer, giving me firsthand experience caring for a senior dog with significant medical needs. In 2022, I rescued Penny, the white pup in my profile photo. Certifications & Experience • Cat & Dog First Aid (American Red Cross) • Experience administering oral medications • Experience caring for senior pets and pets with special needs • Experience caring for dogs and cats of various ages, sizes, and temperaments, including a large Rottweiler I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, consistency, and individualized care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, senior and slower-paced, or simply happiest sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to provide dependable care while helping them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and I'm home much of the time. This allows me to provide regular companionship, potty breaks, feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. Because I intentionally limit the number of pets I care for at one time, I am able to provide a more personalized level of attention and maintain a calmer environment for the pets in my care. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I strive to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. Consistency helps pets feel comfortable, secure, and relaxed while their owners are away. My schedule is generally flexible, allowing me to accommodate a variety of care needs, including daycare, overnight care, drop-in visits, and pet sitting in a client's home. Pick-up and drop-off service may be available depending on distance and scheduling. My dogs are part of the family and spend much of their time relaxing near us, on the furniture, or curled up on a lap. Visiting pets are treated with the same level of care, attention, and companionship while in my home. Dogs are welcome on furniture unless owners request otherwise. I intentionally limit the number of guest dogs I accept at one time to help create a calm, safe, and low-stress environment. This allows me to provide close supervision and a more personalized experience than many high-volume pet care settings. If you prefer your dog to be crated for sleeping, feeding, or when unattended, I'm happy to accommodate as long as a crate is provided. Visiting dogs should be reasonably housebroken, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis for puppies and special circumstances. Meet-and-greets are strongly preferred whenever possible before services begin. They allow me to learn about your pet's personality, needs, and comfort level while helping determine whether my home and care style are a good fit. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home, providing dependable care, companionship, exercise, and attentive supervision. I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, consistency, and respect. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment where pets can feel relaxed, secure, and well cared for while their owners are away.
About: I've taken care of my own pets (2 cats, previously rats and hamsters), who has 18 years of veterinary hospital experience and learned, adapted knowledge. Any time, any place, as long as I can reach the home, I can watch or visit your pet on any particular day. Dogs or cats. I can visit or stay, depending on the client's wants and needs; I care for my own cats with oral medication and a special diet.
About: I have had dogs all my life. I love them, take good care of them and they love me. I will take care of your dog like they are family I’m retired and love dogs. I love to walk and walking with a dog will make it that much better. I Also love to play with dogs and I will make sure they are exercised. My house is dog proofed and I’m always there to make sure they are safe and happy. I will take good care of them, always.
About: I used to manage a doggy daycare and am experienced with basic obedience training, walks, drop-in visits, and boarding. I currently have a 4-year-old Labradoodle named Cooper and a 2-year-old Mini Long-Haired Dachshund named Bilbo. A typical daycare day in my home includes 1–2 long walks, multiple potty breaks throughout the day, park time, playtime, plenty of enrichment and socialization, and of course lots of snuggles on the couch. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home. 🐾💕 For the safety and comfort of all pets in my care, I only accept dogs under 10 pounds for both daycare and boarding. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I’m home most of the day. My dogs are a big part of my life, so daily walks, park visits, outdoor time, and even hikes are already part of my schedule. I provide plenty of potty breaks, supervision, playtime, and snuggles throughout the day. If your dog eats wet food, I can also accommodate that, as I regularly prepare human-grade meals for my own dogs. Please let me know about any allergies, dietary restrictions, or special needs so I can provide the best care possible. 🐾 Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every dog as if they were my own. In my home, pets are always supervised, have access to fresh water, comfortable places to rest, and plenty of potty breaks, exercise, and affection throughout the day. I follow each owner’s feeding schedule, medication instructions, and care preferences carefully. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their routine and environment to help their pet feel comfortable and stress-free. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pet is in good hands.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pleasant Hill
Joseph was absolutely wonderful with our two chihuahuas while we were out of the country for two weeks. He helped give my parents much-needed caregiver relief by walking the dogs every other day, and we couldn’t have been more grateful. He was professional, punctual, reliable, and very communicative with both us and my parents. Even while we were abroad, Joseph consistently sent updates, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs were being well cared for. We would absolutely recommend Joseph to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and thoughtful dog sitter.

We have had wonderful experiences working with Kelly. Our dog hasn’t had much exposure to new people and can be a bit nervous around strangers, but she was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding. She took the time to help our dog feel comfortable, and we were so impressed with how quickly trust developed. She was also extremely communicative, keeping us updated and answering any questions we had, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. In addition, Kelly has been very flexible and willing to help us coordinate dog sitting coverage during an important time for our family. Her reliability, professionalism, and genuine care for our dog has truly stood out. We are so grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate dog walker or pet sitter!

Emily was on time, and asked thoughtful questions around how Ronnie walks, potty breaks, harness, snacks, and what I recommend when it the temperature is too hot for a typical walk. I could tell she has dogs and takes good care of them. Ronnie came back so happy and gave her a ton of kisses showing that he trusted her on the walk! Already booked follow up walks!

Máire has been walking our senior pittie for a few weeks now and I can really say Máire has been doing a great job. Super communicative. On time. And my dog loves Máire. My dog can be pretty people selective when it comes to actually liking people and she never has a problem leaving with Máire. Maire is very understanding of my dog’s senior shenanigans and her health problems that have caused her to slow down as she’s gotten older. I have continued to re-book with Máire consistently.

Selena S is amazing ! I needed help after I injured my ankle and couldn’t walk my dog Vito! Selena was so great in helping me feel comfortable about her walking my dog Vito. Selena is reliable, studious in the way she made contact for the times that was scheduled and great with Vito! Vito took to Selena immediately, he has great instincts! When she was schedule to come, I would tell him a few minutes before and he would stare out the window for her arrival! I would highly recommend her and be grateful to have her back again when we needed!
As long as Liwei is on this app, we will always seek her first!! We feel very lucky to have come across Liwei 🤗 she was above and beyond professional. Set up a met and greet before she started walking our babies so they could get used to her with us around. Asked many questions so she could give the very best care. She regularly gives updates and pictures (which always made me smile at work). And not once did she leave any of my messages unanswered. Genuinely one of the sweetest person and of course my dogs loved her 🫶🏻🫶🏻

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
