About: I have pet sat several different dogs, cats and bunnies. I work from home and I am able to stay and take care of animals for weeks at a time. I’ve had two family dogs of medium size and love them very much. I ensure that I will treat your animals like my own with kindness and love. I work from home so I am able to house sit and pet sit for as long as needed. As long as I have access to Wi-Fi, I will be able to stay for long periods of time. I will take dogs out on walks twice a day (morning and evening) and give them frequent potty brakes. I will ensure that water is filled and they are fed on a regular schedule. I have experience serving dogs, wet and dry food along with prescribed medication. I have one dog at home right now. Since I live with my dad, there is always someone to take care of him while i’m away. I take my dog on daily walks and feed him on a regular schedule. When he is prescribed medicine, I feed him with a treat which he enjoys.
“April is phenomenal! She is very open and listens to the needs of each dog, has excellent communication, and makes sure your pup will have a great and safe time. I was anxious to have a walker, but April put those anxieties at ease and is understanding and trustful. My pup took to her very quickly.”

“Natalia has walked my toy labradoodle several times now. While we had to get over a few hiccups with him getting used to a new walker, I really appreciate the communication from Natalia, as she has always been extremely communicative and sensitive to Teddy’s needs and moods. Natalia is great and she has been available, many times at the last minute. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly dog walker in the area!”

“Rebecca was great! We have no issues and our dog Molly loved her. We will be reaching out to her in the future for our doggy needs! I would definitely recommend Rebecca to friends.”

About: I’ve had the distinct honor and pleasure to have had 9 dogs over my lifetime. Each one taught me lessons in their own way. Several years back I was a volunteer dog walker for the Humane Society of Sonoma County for 7 years. I learned how to handle dogs of every size and temperament. Ready to get back in the game! I’m retired! Currently walking my own dog but have the time and the love to do so much more! No kids, no job = flexibility For boarding, I have a large, fully fenced backyard and a dog friendly Australian shepherd mix female who loves to play and run with other dogs.

“Thank you sooooooo very much! That sounds like a typical day when we walk/run. I appreciate you taking him and even letting some of his energy out. He loves that. I can tell he was happy as when I got home he was wagging his tail, and he just loves meeting new people. He can’t wait for his next walk with ya Jessica! And Thank you for the lockbox, got it!”

About: We're a couple in Concord who does not have kids. We are just very passionate about dogs of all shapes, sizes, and types. Our Chi-weenie named Penny Lane loves dogs & cats, is very low energy, and has never bitten a human or animal. I work 100% from home, and my wife works partially from home, so someone is home all day. I take the dogs out several times per day. We have a fenced yard, and a doggy door. Will take such great care of your pup while you are out and about! I work fully from home and my wife works partially from home. At least one caregiver is home at all times. Although sometimes we’ll go for a walk or to the park and bring the dog(s) along. We have a fenced yard and a doggy door. We believe in giving love to the dogs in our home, not treating them like appliances to be ignored. We also understand that dogs might get into things or act in ways that some would consider undisreable, but we are not here to discipline your pet. We allow room for dogs to be dogs.

Lisa was loved, cuddled, played, and well taken care of!! I wouldn't chose any other pet sitter then her! 1000000% would check her out! Loads and loads of photos and videos from the visit. Aileen does everything just like you so your doggy feels at home!! Lisa will definitely miss Aileen, and can't wait for her to go back when I need a sitter again!!!!”

About: I bring more than 20 years of professional experience in veterinary medicine and animal welfare, caring for pets and supporting the people who love them. My background includes veterinary hospital leadership and many years with the San Francisco SPCA, and I'm also Fear Free Certified. I have extensive experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and needs, including puppies, seniors, anxious or fearful pets, multi-pet households, medication routines, and pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. My Fear Free training helps me recognize signs of fear, anxiety, and stress and adjust my approach so each pet can feel as safe and comfortable as possible. My veterinary background also means I pay attention to the little things. I'm accustomed to noticing changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, energy, or overall wellbeing and communicating concerns promptly. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. I'll treat your pets like they're my own, follow their routines closely, and make sure you get plenty of updates and photos while you're away. My schedule is currently very flexible, which gives me plenty of availability for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. I'm available weekdays and weekends and can accommodate morning, daytime, and evening visits. I also understand how important consistency is for pets, so I'll do my best to keep their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines intact while you're away. With more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine and animal welfare and Fear Free certification, I'm very comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, behaviors, ages, and needs. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions closely and treat your home with the same care and respect I'd want someone to show mine. I'll double-check doors, gates, leashes, and other safety details, keep your pet's environment clean, and provide detailed updates and photos so you always know how things are going. I know you're trusting me with two things that matter enormously—your pet and your home—and I don't take either responsibility lightly.
About: I've been caring for animals since childhood. I have decades of hands-on experience with both dogs and cats of all personalities. I’ve cared for neonates, seniors, shy and anxious pets, high-energy dogs, and cats with complex medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, following special routines, and providing attentive care tailored to each pet. I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, energy levels, and subtle signs of stress or illness. For shy or sensitive pets, I move at their pace, creating a calm, low-stress environment where they feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s playtime, walks, snuggles, or just quiet companionship, I adjust to each pet’s needs. Above all, I treat every dog and cat like family, with patience, affection, and respect for their unique personality. I’m home during the day, which gives me a flexible schedule to provide individualized care for every pet. This allows me to accommodate special needs, from administering medications or fluids, to extra playtime, snuggles, or monitoring a pet’s health. Being home full-time ensures pets in my care always have attention, companionship, and a consistent routine, so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I provide a safe, comfortable, and pet-friendly environment for both dogs and cats. My home features a fully fenced yard for doggy guests to play and explore, plus several daily walks to keep them active and happy. I have a resident 15-year-old chihuahua who is friendly with both dogs and cats, and all pets are carefully supervised to ensure peaceful interactions. For cats, I only board one at a time or multiple from the same family. They enjoy their own bedroom outfitted with cozy cat trees, a water fountain, plenty of toys, and catnip. My resident and foster cats are kept separate from boarding pets if needed, so each animal feels safe and relaxed. Your pets will have individualized care, enrichment, and attention in a calm, secure space where they can feel at home while you’re away.
About: I love caring for dogs. Short or long walks, playing at the park or in their yard. When they are happy it makes me happy. Feeding time or treats always on owners timeline! I am currently not working so available to be with your pet all day! Feedings, walks, whatever is needed they will feel safe and happy. I like to care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable. I will be able to keep them on their daily schedules where they feel safe.
About: I'm a retired officer, background-checked through Rover, and have more than 10 years of experience caring for my own dogs as well as friends', family members', and clients' pets. Throughout my career and personal life, responsibility, trustworthiness, and attention to detail have always been important to me, and I bring those same qualities to every pet I care for. In 2016, I adopted Barney the Shih Tzu, followed by Jack in 2019. Both were estimated to be about four years old at the time. In 2025, Jack passed away from bone cancer, giving me firsthand experience caring for a senior dog with significant medical needs. In 2022, I rescued Penny, the white pup in my profile photo. Certifications & Experience • Cat & Dog First Aid (American Red Cross) • Experience administering oral medications • Experience caring for senior pets and pets with special needs • Experience caring for dogs and cats of various ages, sizes, and temperaments, including a large Rottweiler I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, consistency, and individualized care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, senior and slower-paced, or simply happiest sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to provide dependable care while helping them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and I'm home much of the time. This allows me to provide regular companionship, potty breaks, feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. Because I intentionally limit the number of pets I care for at one time, I am able to provide a more personalized level of attention and maintain a calmer environment for the pets in my care. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I strive to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. Consistency helps pets feel comfortable, secure, and relaxed while their owners are away. My schedule is generally flexible, allowing me to accommodate a variety of care needs, including daycare, overnight care, drop-in visits, and pet sitting in a client's home. Pick-up and drop-off service may be available depending on distance and scheduling. My dogs are part of the family and spend much of their time relaxing near us, on the furniture, or curled up on a lap. Visiting pets are treated with the same level of care, attention, and companionship while in my home. Dogs are welcome on furniture unless owners request otherwise. I intentionally limit the number of guest dogs I accept at one time to help create a calm, safe, and low-stress environment. This allows me to provide close supervision and a more personalized experience than many high-volume pet care settings. If you prefer your dog to be crated for sleeping, feeding, or when unattended, I'm happy to accommodate as long as a crate is provided. Visiting dogs should be reasonably housebroken, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis for puppies and special circumstances. Meet-and-greets are strongly preferred whenever possible before services begin. They allow me to learn about your pet's personality, needs, and comfort level while helping determine whether my home and care style are a good fit. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home, providing dependable care, companionship, exercise, and attentive supervision. I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, consistency, and respect. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment where pets can feel relaxed, secure, and well cared for while their owners are away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Concord
Máire has been walking our senior pittie for a few weeks now and I can really say Máire has been doing a great job. Super communicative. On time. And my dog loves Máire. My dog can be pretty people selective when it comes to actually liking people and she never has a problem leaving with Máire. Maire is very understanding of my dog’s senior shenanigans and her health problems that have caused her to slow down as she’s gotten older. I have continued to re-book with Máire consistently.

As long as Liwei is on this app, we will always seek her first!! We feel very lucky to have come across Liwei 🤗 she was above and beyond professional. Set up a met and greet before she started walking our babies so they could get used to her with us around. Asked many questions so she could give the very best care. She regularly gives updates and pictures (which always made me smile at work). And not once did she leave any of my messages unanswered. Genuinely one of the sweetest person and of course my dogs loved her 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
