My approach towards building trust with your pet is to introduce myself in the most neutral way possible. Some pets can get very overwhelmed when meeting new people, so I like to let them show me who they are at their own pace! Your pet's safety is my top priority. Whether I am walking a dog or dropping in on a cat, I am always observing the environment and evaluating situations to ensure your pet is safe! I also take great care to monitor your pet's behavior so I can quickly and accurately meet their needs. I offer walks, drop-ins, day care, and sitting. I am also happy to provide daycare in your home for puppies or pets who require post surgical care while you are at work. I only offer boarding under very special circumstances. Please reach out and I can let you know if I can meet your pet's needs!

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Maire (like Mari). I have a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in Animal Science and have worked at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in animal caretaking, research, and administration. While I am newer to Rover, I have been professionally caring for pets for nearly ten years and have a 5 star rating with over 170 completed services on the competing app (see second photo in my bio)! I also bring a lifetime of personal experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, and livestock. I believe what sets me apart is my strong foundation in biology, attention to detail, and intuition. Each animal is unique, so I use these skills to provide care and attention that is tailored to your pet’s individual physical and emotional needs. I would love the opportunity to provide this care to your furry loved ones🥰

Another awesome experience for Tira
Máire has been walking our senior pittie for a few weeks now and I can really say Máire has been doing a great job. Super communicative. On time. And my dog loves Máire. My dog can be pretty people selective when it comes to actually liking people and she never has a problem leaving with Máire. Maire is very understanding of my dog’s senior shenanigans and her health problems that have caused her to slow down as she’s gotten older. I have continued to re-book with Máire consistently.
Maire is a great sitter! She was very patient with my new puppy and my puppy loves her! She kept me updated throughout the visit, including her observation of my puppy behavior that was really helpful. Would absolutely have Maire sit for us again!
Maire is a wonderful person. She did an amazing job. My dog is a rescue, somewhat quiet and reserved yet Maire was able to make her feel safe, secure and happy to the point were they hung out together. Maire took her for walks and my dog obviously loves her. I will definitely use her again.
