About: Hello, my name is Kristen. I am a dog lover with over a decade of experience housesitting and petsitting and have experience working with dogs of all ages, temperaments and breeds. I grew up with a cocker spaniel and a labradoodle and feel most at peace in the presence of animals. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and currently work fully remote. I live in a home in Concord with a large fenced in yard. Your pet must be house trained with reliable recall. Please don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently work fully remote (part-time) for a medical center in the East Bay. I am typically available to take pets out for a potty break and walk every 2-3 hours. Pets are allowed on all furniture and beds, however, if they have a particular preference for their own bed or crate I have space to accommodate.

About: We’re huge animal lovers and have cared for pets for most of our lives. My wife has been a veterinary technician for the past 7 years, so we’re comfortable administering medications and caring for senior pets and those with special needs. Whether your pet is a playful puppy or a laid back senior, we’ll give them plenty of attention, love, and care while you’re away, just like they’re part of our own family. 🐾❤️ My wife and I have flexible work schedules, allowing us to tailor our days around your pet’s needs and provide consistent care, attention, exercise, and companionship. We care for every pet like they’re our own. We will make sure to provide plenty of love and attention, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life! I understand that each dog has its own unique personality, and I strive to create a customized and comfortable environment that suits their individual needs. I am also highly reliable and trustworthy, and I take great pride in providing top-quality care that puts both you and your pup at ease. With me as your dog sitter, you can rest assured that your furry companion is in good hands and will receive the attention and care they deserve. Since I have a flexible work schedule at home, I am able to integrate furry friends care into my daily routine. I start my day with a morning walk or playtime session to give my furry friend the exercise and attention they need before starting my workday. Throughout the day, I take regular breaks to spend time with my furry friend, playing with them, or taking them out for a quick walk to stretch their legs. I also make sure to stick to a consistent feeding schedule and ensure that my pet has access to fresh water throughout the day. In the evening, I dedicate time to my pet by taking them out for a longer walk or playing with them before settling in for the night. I believe it's important to give my pet the attention and care they deserve, and I strive to create a balance between my work and pet responsibilities As a dog sitter who cares for pets in my home, I strive to create a comfortable and loving environment for my furry guests. Upon arrival, I greet each dog with a warm welcome, providing them with a comfortable and clean space to call their own. I ensure they have access to fresh water and I follow the owner's specific instructions for their feeding schedule.Throughout the day, I make sure to take them out for regular potty breaks, and I provide plenty of playtime and exercise to keep them happy and healthy. I am available for any cuddles or comforting if they require it. Throughout their stay, I provide plenty of love, attention, and care, making sure each dog feels like a member of my family until it's time for them to return home to their own.
About: I offer calm, personalized care in a quiet home where your dog is treated like family, not one of many in a busy boarding facility or a home with multiple dogs. I typically host one household at a time, so your dog gets my full attention, genuine affection, and all the cuddles they can handle. My home is the right fit for friendly dogs who love companionship, walks, and settling into a peaceful routine. I'm especially drawn to dogs who thrive with one-on-one attention rather than the noise and energy of a busy multi-dog environment. I'm certified in Pet CPR, Healing Touch for Animals, and Reiki. And beyond the credentials, I'm deeply attuned to each dog's personality and energy. That attunement is what helps them settle in quickly and feel genuinely at ease. My connection to animals runs deep. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. That experience sharpened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced something I already believed: animals feel safety before they understand it. My goal is always to create that feeling from the moment your dog arrives! Because I work from home, pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, they become part of a calm and comfortable daily routine. I primarily host dogs from 1 household at a time so each pet receives plenty of individual attention. Dogs here enjoy daily walks, playtime, and relaxed downtime, and I’m home much of the day since I work from home. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe and settled. For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. I’m happy to send photo updates so owners know their pets are doing well.
“So energetic and sweet. Went above and beyond to give my pup a good walk.Even though Leo is usually shy, he was excited to meet her during meet & greet. Thanks so much!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pacheco
Joseph was absolutely wonderful with our two chihuahuas while we were out of the country for two weeks. He helped give my parents much-needed caregiver relief by walking the dogs every other day, and we couldn’t have been more grateful. He was professional, punctual, reliable, and very communicative with both us and my parents. Even while we were abroad, Joseph consistently sent updates, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs were being well cared for. We would absolutely recommend Joseph to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and thoughtful dog sitter.

Máire has been walking our senior pittie for a few weeks now and I can really say Máire has been doing a great job. Super communicative. On time. And my dog loves Máire. My dog can be pretty people selective when it comes to actually liking people and she never has a problem leaving with Máire. Maire is very understanding of my dog’s senior shenanigans and her health problems that have caused her to slow down as she’s gotten older. I have continued to re-book with Máire consistently.

As long as Liwei is on this app, we will always seek her first!! We feel very lucky to have come across Liwei 🤗 she was above and beyond professional. Set up a met and greet before she started walking our babies so they could get used to her with us around. Asked many questions so she could give the very best care. She regularly gives updates and pictures (which always made me smile at work). And not once did she leave any of my messages unanswered. Genuinely one of the sweetest person and of course my dogs loved her 🫶🏻🫶🏻

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
