Safety, trust & environment
I like getting as much info as possible before starting with your dog, to learn about their behavior with other people and animals, any fears or allergies they may have, as well as their treating and drinking habits while on walks. I strive to ensure the safety and trust of you and your pup while they are in my care.
Information Amy J. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special characteristics or behaviors I should be aware of. For example, it's helpful to know if your dog is likely to eat everything in sight so that I can be hyper-vigilant that they don't get into something they shouldn't. Also, I like knowing if there are particular training commands you want me to use during our time together. And lastly, please let me know if your dog tends to be reactive to other dogs so I can give all parties a safe amount of space and minimize anxiety.
A typical day
I love giving you dog a chance to stretch his or her legs, take in the fresh air, and get some energy out. When I take dogs out for walks, I try to gauge what their comfortable pace is. Some prefer to stroll and sniff, some prefer to jog or run, and some prefer a combination of the two. I praise them for good behavior throughout our time together, and always try to snap a cute photo or two for you from our explorations together.

Pet care experience
I've had pets of all kinds since I was a child, everything from cats and hamsters, to fish, a turtle and more! Over the years, I've cared for many cats, dogs, hamsters and even a bearded dragon while their respective parents were away. As an adult, I've been the lucky parent of two wonderful dogs (one of them since early puppyhood) and two cats. As a dog owner, I've learned so much about caring for and training them. I've loved taking them out on walks, hikes, and even jogs. It's one of the highlights of my day, as I know how much joy and benefit they get from exercise and being outdoors–plus it's a great bonding experience for all involved!

Amy is the best! Luna is so happy and calm after her walks with Amy

Super nice and took my dogs on a long adventurous walk which I’m pretty sure they loved. Thank you!!

Kenji loves you so much. We do too. Thank you for really running him. His life is wonderful because of you.

No human words for Amy. In German Shepherd talk she is part of the pack and in love.
