“Rebecca has been house sitting for Mikko and Kona most of this year, and she is absolutely fantastic with them! She is ultra dependable and takes care of them! She has even helped with some other friend’s dogs when they were in a bind. I could not be more grateful for Rebecca and her care!!”

“Heather took great care of our three high maintenance dogs! We've got two young, active dogs and an old grandpa guy. Lots of medications and different diets for everyone. Heather took great care of everyone and met everyone's individual needs! We got picture updates and everyone always looked loved and happy. We will hire Heather again for sure.”
“Sydney was very sweet with my pets and sent me pictures to let me know my cat was thriving while I was away. She was communicative and responsible, following all my instructions. I will definitely use her again!”

About: I have 4 dogs. I always stay behind on family vacations to watch them. I also make sure that they are fed on time, taking care of their medical needs and always put their needs before mine. I don't see dogs as pets but as part of the family. I work part-time at the best Western on Benicia. I at the moment only work afternoon/ evening shifts. So I always get up 5 am every day making sure I get my dogs needs fulfilled before mine. I have a lot of free time in the morning since I take online course at solano community college. I have a fenced in yard. My dogs were not socialized with other dogs in their puppy years. Because of that I always make sure of my surroundings at all times. I also understand breed bias as well since 1 of them is a Rottweiler german shepherd mixed. Again I always make sure that I treat dogs that I take care of as if they were mine.
“Wow! Wow! We are so grateful. Tatyana took loving care of our Ragdoll girl. She is a rescue cat and an emotionally needy, super loving cat who had never been without us. She got all the loving, playing, grooming and snuggling she needed and we could not be more thankful. We were honored to share our home with them and it was left in perfect condition. We highly recommend her and her wonderful partner. Thank you, thank you!”

“Megan was great, very nice and respectful and most importantly took great care of Milo and Ivy! It was their first time being cared for by a non family member and I was probably more nervous than they were but Megan was very accommodating and I could tell she’d take good care of them. She was responsive and sent pictures and left the house in a great state. Would recommend for sure!”

“We were very nervous to leave our pup for a week. Since Covid, we haven’t been apart from him very much. Jessica was reassuring from the beginning. She took such good care of our sweet pup! We got daily updates, photos and Jessica was quick to reply anytime we texted. We could tell that Gus was comfortable and loved having Jessica with him. We have already rebooked for another week in July! We highly recommend Jessica for your pet sitting needs!”

“Erica was awesome! ! She was on time and friendly! We were able to get her on short notice on a Holiday weekend! When we returned our pups were happy and relaxed and sad to see her go! Our dogs have a new Bestie in Oregon 👍”

“Virginia was a lifesaver! We needed a dog/house sitter last minute, and she gladly accepted without hesitation. She even showed up at 5 AM when we were panicking about our puppy Chico barking and the neighbors possibly complaining. That alone already meant so much to us. She took such great care of Chico, played with him, kept him entertained, and he genuinely seemed to have an amazing time with her. We came home to a happy pup and a clean house, which says everything about how thoughtful and responsible she is. We’re super grateful for her help and would absolutely book her again. Highly recommended! 💛🐾”

“We had such a great experience with Vivian! My puppy loved her and she took great care of him and left the house in wonderful shape while we were gone. She sent regular updates and we knew our puppy was in great hands! Highly recommend Vivian.”

“April did an amazing job taking care of our pets and home while we were on vacation. She sent frequent updates and photos and made us feel very comfortable that our pets were in good hands, allowing us to really enjoy our vacation without worry.”

“Brooke was amazing! I was pretty nervous about leaving the girls for so long, but Brooke eased my mind. She stuck to the schedule we agreed on and sent me adorable pictures everyday. Brooke is very attentive and reliable. When I got home, my place was cleaner than it was when I left and most importantly, my girls looked happy and healthy. I will definitely be booking her again.”

“Jovelle took great care of pup while we were away. She was a great communicator and always replied promptly. She left our home very clean too. I’d definitely hire Jovelle again!”

“I cannot recommend Paulo highly enough. He was amazing with our two dogs, but especially with our anxious & reactive boxer, Beau. It has been a challenge to find someone who understands how to interact with a reactive dog but Paulo was incredible from the start. He is clearly knowledgeable of dogs & was proactive in making sure that his first meeting with Beau was a positive experience. He kept me informed & was patient with Beau even when he was too anxious to eat. Paulo spent quality time with both dogs & it was clear that they enjoyed their time with him. He was even able to take both dogs for a walk together which we haven’t been able to do in two years! I can not express how much of a relief it is to know that your dogs are in good, kind, capable hands when you are not able to be there. Paulo, you truly have a customer for life!”

“Liz was amazing! She stayed in our home with our dog for a week and our pup was very happy :) Liz played with her on a daily basis, made sure she ate and got her exercise and always kept in contact with me with updates and pictures. We plan to use her in the future!”

“We can’t thank Michelle enough for the incredible care she provided to Hampton during our 12 day trip. This was our first extended vacation since Hampton was recently diagnosed with chf, and leaving him was understandably stressful. From our very first meet and greet, Michelle immediately put us at ease with her kindness, confidence, and genuine love for animals. Hampton now requires medication six times a day, and Michelle never hesitated to take on his complex care routine. She made sure he stayed on schedule, kept us updated with thoughtful messages and photos, and treated him like he was her own. Knowing he was in such capable and compassionate hands allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation. We came home to a happy, healthy pup and a spotless home. Michelle exceeded every expectation, and we would not hesitate to book with her again. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond, Michelle is the one. Thank you again for everything! We are so grateful.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Concord
If I could give Myra, and her daughter, Victoria, 27 stars, I would! The short version: Hire her. Here's the long version: I am, by every benchmark, a crazy dog mom. I am way too particular about our dogs' food, I am overly cautious about their safety, I'm surprised our pet insurance company hasn't dropped us by now due to all the vet visits, and we pay to have the dogs walked Monday through Friday to ensure their happiness. Leaving our dogs is nearly traumatic for me. I am never able to actually enjoy "vacations" because I worry about them the whole time. But not this time... Myra and her daughter, Victoria, recently stayed with our dogs in our home for a week. They tag-teamed. There was always someone here with our dogs. Before the trip, Myra came over to meet the dogs. They immediately loved her. She asked insightful questions and made sure she understood everything that was important to us while we were away. She even came a second time with Victoria to meet the dogs. They loved her too. True to my crazy dog mom moniker, I left an entire 20+ page binder with detailed directions for every day we'd be away. Every day, step-by-step. Not only did Myra and Victoria follow every instruction to a T, they went above and beyond by filling our bird water, setting out seeds and peanuts for the squirrels, changing the outdoor dog water bowls, and watering my garden, every single day that we were gone. Our critters and my plants wouldn't have known I was even away. They treated our home with respect and care. I think it was cleaner when we returned home than before we left. Several times a day, Myra sent us photos of the dogs. They didn't feel like the standard proof-of-life photos. The dogs looked legitimately happy and carefree, and her messages carried her own joy in their wacky behavior. While they were here, they bestowed so much love and care on our dogs. Our rambunctious Aussie-mix can be a challenge, and instead of becoming frustrated with her, they seemed tickled by her goofiness. They made sure our newly adopted one-eyed dog was always safe. This same dog has some food resource guarding issues, and they were very careful about separating the dogs during meals. Our dogs compete for first position on walks and pull like sled dogs. At my request, Myra walked them separately, one at a time. This was twice the work for her. I honestly feel terrible that I asked so much of them while we were away. And when I reiterated this to her upon our return, she simply said nothing was out of the ordinary for her, and she loved being here with our dogs. I would be honored if Myra and Victoria would be willing to sit with our dogs again. If you are lucky enough to have them fit you into their schedule, I'm sure you'll feel the same.

Brenna was amazing. She came last minute (we had another Rover who got sick and has to cancel) and was perfect for our very new, very sweet, very anxious about people and separating from her people pup (15 lb chihuahua terrier mix). Brenna knew just how to be around our anxious dog, and our dog warmed up to her quickly. Our dog let Brenna hold her and cuddle her and even take her outside a few times while we were gone - nothing short of a miracle with this pup. I will be going back to Brenna again as often as needed!

This is the second time Brooke watched my girls for me, she’s great! Olive was diagnosed with an ear infection just a couple of days before I left town and Brooke did a fantastic job making sure she got her ear drops every day. Also, she sends me the best puppy pictures🩷

Monica was amazing with both my dog and cat! She was very responsive and it’s clear she cares deeply for animals. She had no trouble following our somewhat extensive care instructions for our senior dog and went above and beyond on walks and sending pictures. Monica also left the house very clean. I would absolutely hire Monica again.

Monica was amazing! The first day we met and talked with her for our meet and greet, we were immediately at ease with having her sit for our dog and home. When we were away, we could tell that Monica was so kind, thoughtful and playful with Coco. She played with her toys with her, threw the ball, spent time in the yard and took her on neighborhood walks. She also took her on car rides and in general treated Coco like she was her own. We got so many adorable pictures and updates, and when we got home from our trip, Coco was calm and happy. We could not be more pleased. Also, Monica took beautiful care of our house and administered all of Coco's medications throughout the day. We would hire Monica to sit again in a heartbeat.

Erica was an amazing dogsitter for my 2 pups! She was super communicative and kept in touch the whole time with messages and photos. She took extra care with my more tricky and shy pup, which I greatly appreciated. It was so nice knowing they were in great hands! Would definitely recommend!
Sachi was fantastic with my French Bulldog puppy! She sent daily photos and updates throughout the entire stay, which made me feel great knowing he was doing well. She followed all of my instructions and gave my puppy so much attention and care. Since he's still a puppy and needs a little extra attention, it meant a lot knowing he was in such good hands. I would absolutely book with Sachi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly care for their dog.

I was very grateful to have found Elizabeth on Rover! She housesat for us and took care of our three cats. One of them suffered a health issue right before we had to go away and Elizabeth went above and beyond to provide excellent care for him including administration of multiple meds. She kept me well informed the entire time. Our other cats benefitted from her caring attenton as well. She also took excellent care of our home. I would absolutely book her again and I know my kitties would be happy to have her back!
Rebecca has been caring for Mikko and Kona for a year and a half now. She is truly the best! She takes great care of them, and has even had to take Mikko to the vet with an emergency and did fantastic caring for him! She is a great communicator and loves Mikko and Kona very much!

The average cost for House Sitting in Concord on Rover is $83.93 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 7,826 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Concord. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Concord walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Concord maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Concord choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Concord. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
