I have many years of pet care experience including veterinary care and dog training experience (specifically, I've trained my own dogs through the Petsmart dog training program and passed the Canine Good Citizen test). I'm very comfortable around all types of dogs and animals. I've always treated my pets as part of our family and would always treat any animal in my care with the same devotion. We have three kids (ages 14-16) and they are all used to animals and they are very caring and love to play with all the dogs when they come home from school. The cats can easily avoid the dogs if they want to as they have their own outdoor catio and room. We keep our air conditioner on for our dog already during hot days so any dogs with thick fur will feel very comfortable. There's no carpet in our house so potty issues are easier to manage as well. I work from home, so other than errands or short outings the dogs have someone home with them nearly all the time. We have a gated kitchen so dogs can be separated if needed. We have a large fenced yard with a covered patio and when it’s too hot to be outside, the dogs are in the air conditioned house with us.

About: Our home is a dogs vacation. Complete with best friend Buddy (dog 4), fenced backyard and creek/trail access. I will take great care and give much attention to your special friend. About: Hi! I'm an experienced dog lover and foster who would love to welcome your pup into my home. I have had dogs my entire life and have experience caring for and engaging with many different types of dogs, personalities, and energy levels. I currently foster dogs through Copper's Dream Rescue, which has given me even more hands-on experience helping dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they are away from their families. I'm also dog CPR and First Aid certified, so your pup's safety and well-being are always my top priorities. When your dog stays with me, they'll be treated like one of my own—with plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and care. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their individual routines, personalities, and needs. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your dog with someone else, and my goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pup has a fun, safe, and loving stay! I’m a teacher, so I’m typically home by 3 PM on weekdays, and my husband works from home during the week. This means your dog will have plenty of companionship and won’t be left alone for long periods of time. Our dogs get three walks a day, along with plenty of attention, playtime, and downtime. If your dog enjoys dog parks, we also have a nearby dog park that is suitable for dogs who enjoy socializing and getting some extra exercise in the evening. On weekends, we love taking our dogs on dog-friendly adventures, so boarding with us can include lots of fun activities and new experiences when appropriate for your dog. Most importantly, we’ll follow your dog’s normal routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while they’re staying with us I care for every dog like they are part of our family. Before their stay, I like to learn about their personality, routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and safe. Because I foster dogs through Copper’s Dream Rescue, I’m comfortable working with many different personalities, energy levels, and needs. “Kamila was amazing with our 4 month old GSD puppy! I knew it was going to be a good fit from the moment we did our meet and greet. Buffy immediately took a liking to her and was already feeling at home when we went inside her place. :D She gave us the option to bring Buffy to work with her and she had the best day hanging out and playing with other dogs. At the end of the day she texted to ask if it was okay to give Buffy a bath because of her full day of puppy play and I of course had no objection to that lol. I really appreciate her thoughtfulness and care though in making sure it was okay and also she wanted to make sure Buffy wasn't allergic to shampoo. I didn't even have to ask her to send me updates, she was just on it throughout the day. She is very responsive with texts and calls too. She took Buffy to work with her again on the second day and once again had a full day of fun. When we got home Buffy crated herself and fell asleep for the evening - it was 7pm! She said Buffy is welcome back so we will definitely be returning! Thank you so much, Kamila!”

My background includes veterinary hospital leadership and many years with the San Francisco SPCA, and I'm also Fear Free Certified. I have extensive experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and needs, including puppies, seniors, anxious or fearful pets, multi-pet households, medication routines, and pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. My Fear Free training helps me recognize signs of fear, anxiety, and stress and adjust my approach so each pet can feel as safe and comfortable as possible. My veterinary background also means I pay attention to the little things. I'm accustomed to noticing changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, energy, or overall wellbeing and communicating concerns promptly. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. I'll treat your pets like they're my own, follow their routines closely, and make sure you get plenty of updates and photos while you're away. My schedule is currently very flexible, which gives me plenty of availability for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. I'm available weekdays and weekends and can accommodate morning, daytime, and evening visits. I also understand how important consistency is for pets, so I'll do my best to keep their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines intact while you're away. With more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine and animal welfare and Fear Free certification, I'm very comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, behaviors, ages, and needs. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions closely and treat your home with the same care and respect I'd want someone to show mine. I'll double-check doors, gates, leashes, and other safety details, keep your pet's environment clean, and provide detailed updates and photos so you always know how things are going.
