We booked Mike again to walk our two dogs and we always have a great experience with him. He is very kind, reliable, and communicative. He always lets us know when he arrives, keeps us updated during the walk, and tells us how our dogs are doing, including potty breaks and behavior. We truly appreciate how attentive and professional he is. We feel very comfortable trusting him with our dogs and will continue booking with him.

About: I have over 15 years of hands on pet care experience. I was the primary caregiver for my own Boston Terrier for 12 years, including senior care as he aged. I also have years of experience caring for dogs and cats for friends, coworkers, and referrals. My experience includes overnight stays, daily walks, feeding, bathing when needed, administering medications, and providing attentive, calm care. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets and understand the importance of patience, routine, and gentle handling. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their comfort and safety. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I have a flexible schedule. I’m available for daytime visits, walks, overnight stays, and weekends, and I’m able to adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s specific needs and routines. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow instructions closely, prioritize safety and comfort, secure doors and gates, provide regular updates for peace of mind, and treat each home with care and respect.

About: With four years of experience working with puppies, I have developed a deep understanding and genuine love for these delightful companions. My approach to pet care emphasizes building a strong bond with each puppy, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and happy. I am dedicated to providing personalized attention and creating a fun, nurturing environment where every puppy can thrive. Being around dogs brings me immense joy, and I consider it a privilege to be their friend and caretaker. I also have a puppy of my own who is under my care 24/7, so I'm always present to tend to your pups as well. This constant presence ensures that your puppies will receive the attention, love, and care they need throughout the day. In my home, I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for pets. I ensure they have plenty of playtime, exercise, and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. Fresh water, nutritious meals, and cozy resting areas are always available. I also maintain a routine that includes regular potty breaks, walks, and lots of affectionate attention. With constant supervision and a puppy-friendly home setup, I make sure every pet feels welcomed and well-cared-for.

About: I love caring for dogs. Short or long walks, playing at the park or in their yard. When they are happy it makes me happy. Feeding time or treats always on owners timeline! I am currently not working so available to be with your pet all day! Feedings, walks, whatever is needed they will feel safe and happy. I like to care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable. I will be able to keep them on their daily schedules where they feel safe.

About: I have pet sat for my friends and family, varying from German Shepard, doodles, dachshund, and my own pugs. I think of my dogs like my own kids and I would treat yours like they were your children. Happy to pet sit and walk your dogs as I get my steps in! I currently work part time and have the capacity to check in on dogs and do overnight stays. I am happy to care for your dogs during work hours, excursions, or travel. I would walk the dogs depending on how much exercise they need and the weather. I would play with them and feed them and ensure they have plenty of water and get their potty breaks.

About: I worked at East Hills Veterinary Hospital for 1.5 years from 2023-2025. I have dog walked and pet sat (both cats and dogs) for neighbors, family, and friends for the past 3 years. My mom is a veterinarian and has taught me how to medicate cats and trim nails on mild tempered cats. I have 4 cats and 3 small dogs at home who I regularly take care of. I’m currently a college student home for the summer and living locally. I have a car and am able to create a specialized schedule based on what my clients need from me. I am flexible with timing and will only be gone for 2 weeks this summer, one at the end of July and one at the start of August. I have three small dogs and four cats at home. I’m used to feeding my pets, changing litter boxes, medicating my pets if need be, and trimming nails for cats - but only if they have a mild temper. I walk my dogs a couple times a week and play fetch with my yorkie Neville. I have a fenced in backyard and like to hang outside with them and read books and let them run around.

About: I’ve had the distinct honor and pleasure to have had 9 dogs over my lifetime. Each one taught me lessons in their own way. Several years back I was a volunteer dog walker for the Humane Society of Sonoma County for 7 years. I learned how to handle dogs of every size and temperament. Ready to get back in the game! I’m retired! Currently walking my own dog but have the time and the love to do so much more! No kids, no job = flexibility For boarding, I have a large, fully fenced backyard and a dog friendly Australian shepherd mix female who loves to play and run with other dogs.

  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
