“Oh my gosh!! When I tell you I had the best best best best experience with Aileen, I definitely did! She was outstanding with my little Lisa. I could just tell by all the photos and video updates I got of her while I was gone she was having a blast!!! She was definitely cared for like it was her own dog! Lisa was loved, cuddled, played, and well taken care of!! I wouldn't chose any other pet sitter then her! 1000000% would check her out! Loads and loads of photos and videos from the visit. Aileen does everything just like you so your doggy feels at home!! Lisa will definitely miss Aileen, and can't wait for her to go back when I need a sitter again!!!!”

“Jessica did great. Boli can be a bit temperamental and she knew exactly how to calm him. They had a great walk, and she’ll be coming back to walk him this evening. I’m so glad she is helping us out . I recently had shoulder surgery so I cannot have my eager guy yanking on me. He is usually easy to manage but if he sees squirrels or raccoons, all bets are off!”

“Brian (Esther's husband, they work as a pair!) was great! Always on time and very patient with my mischievous husky, even when he wanted to play tug of war with some foul smelling contents on his last scheduled walk, he washed him off, and then came back to check on him despite not needing to! I would definitely recommend!”

“April is phenomenal! She is very open and listens to the needs of each dog, has excellent communication, and makes sure your pup will have a great and safe time. I was anxious to have a walker, but April put those anxieties at ease and is understanding and trustful. My pup took to her very quickly.”

“Susan has been walking our dogs 1-2x a week for at least 6 months now and we couldn’t be happier. Our dogs love her and Luna and look forward to their walks. Susan is very trustworthy!”

“Kylee was fantastic! Showed up on time everyday and my dog always came home tired and happy! She even went above and beyond to make sure Moose got extra care and attention.”

About: I got started dog sitting my coworkers great dane when she went off on work trips and found my love for having that friendly companion I work full-time monday thru Friday but I have a very flexible schedule on weekends and days during the week to find time to enjoy one on one time with your dog. I work by the dog park in Walnut Creek and my Job is pet friendly to bring in those that need 24/7 care. My workplace has plenty of outdoor space and is gated. I am always aware of my environment and where I care for your pets. I treat them as if they were my own and am always respectful of where I am at.
About: I’m a full-time pet sitter who genuinely takes pride in the care I provide. I treat pets as if they’re part of my own family. I make sure to provide lots of love, patience, and attention I’d want for my own. I’m consistent on providing updates (as many as you prefer) with pictures so that you have peace of mind that they’re happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾 Pet care usually fits into a daily routine through a few consistent tasks: * Morning: Feeding, fresh water, bathroom break/walk, and a little attention or play. * During the day: Checking on them, playtime, and letting them out or walking them as needed. * Evening: Another meal, walk/playtime, grooming if needed, and making sure they’re comfortable before bed. * Ongoing: Cleaning litter boxes or habitats, monitoring health and behavior, and keeping up with medications or vet appointments when necessary. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions carefully while making sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I understand that being away from their owners can be stressful for some pets, so I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment while keeping owners updated with messages and photos.
About: About Jovelle: I’ve always loved animals and caring for them. I’ve taken care of multiple dogs and cats on different occasions; I love to walk, play, and give lots of care and attention to the animals that are trusted in my care. They are the best thing in this world, and I would treat your pets like family! About Jodie: I'm Jodie, Jovelle's sister, and I help out around the house with boarding and housesitting that Jovelle is unavailable for. We sometimes work together as a team to provide the best care for your pets! You can rest assured that your pets will be at the forefront of my mind when booking with me. I give all my attention to each gig I have! Every pet is different, with different personalities, temperaments, schedules, etc. Of course I would love to pet, play, and be around your fur baby most of the time, but a lot of animals have boundaries, and I would honor them. If you choose to have your pet stay with us, we have a huge, fenced backyard that is just waiting for pups to play around in. I live in a house with my animal-loving family. They are adverse to getting a pet of our own, but they don’t mind pet sitting at all.

About: I have been taking care of pets (none professional) since I was in diapers, I also currently volunteer at Antioch Animal Shelter. I have more experience with pets 1 year+ but I’m comfortable with younger pets as well. I do have another job but we get to pick our own schedules so there will be no issues there. I can work with your schedule I treat pet sitting like babysitting, your baby, your rules. Whatever you decide for your pet is what I will do no questions asked. I would never want to come into someone else’s home and change the way you do things. If there is anything I’m uncomfortable with I will be sure to communicate it effectively and immediately.
About: I offer calm, personalized care in a quiet home where your dog is treated like family, not one of many in a busy boarding facility or a home with multiple dogs. I typically host one household at a time, so your dog gets my full attention, genuine affection, and all the cuddles they can handle. My home is the right fit for friendly dogs who love companionship, walks, and settling into a peaceful routine. I'm especially drawn to dogs who thrive with one-on-one attention rather than the noise and energy of a busy multi-dog environment. I'm certified in Pet CPR, Healing Touch for Animals, and Reiki. And beyond the credentials, I'm deeply attuned to each dog's personality and energy. That attunement is what helps them settle in quickly and feel genuinely at ease. My connection to animals runs deep. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. That experience sharpened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced something I already believed: animals feel safety before they understand it. My goal is always to create that feeling from the moment your dog arrives! Because I work from home, pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, they become part of a calm and comfortable daily routine. I primarily host dogs from 1 household at a time so each pet receives plenty of individual attention. Dogs here enjoy daily walks, playtime, and relaxed downtime, and I’m home much of the day since I work from home. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe and settled. For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. I’m happy to send photo updates so owners know their pets are doing well.

About: Ive grown up with dogs all my life and always enjoyed spending time with them when I had the chance. Now that I’m older I help friends, family, neighbors and everyone with their pets- be it checking in, feeding, bathing, house sitting, walking, giving medication, or just keeping them company so you can enjoy yourself with peace of mind! I am available most of the weekday especially in the mornings. On the weekends I’m available more often in the afternoons. I’m very flexible and can accommodate to you! I really try to get to know each pet in order to know what they like, what they don't, and their usual routine. This helps me give them the best care possible, so they feel safe and happy, whether I'm just popping in or looking after them for longer!
“Jenna is our senior lab’s weekly dog walker. She provides excellent communication with how our pup is doing and shows Sadie the same care she would give her own dogs. Thank you, Jenna, for being such a reliable, helpful caregiver for our girl 🐶”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
