“Excellent!! I am going on a vacation and I needed someone to walk my 6 month old Husky,Charlie, while I am away because my parents are older and don't feel strong enough to walk him. Enter Paulo! We set up a walk to see how they would do together and what a match! Charlie is only learning to walk on a leash now and I could see Paulo give leash control and great direction and positive reinforcement. Paulo sent pictures and videos throughout their walk and I could see that Charlie was having an amazing time. I am excited for Charlie because he will have some excellent walks and quality time with Paulo!”

About: I have been taking care of pets (none professional) since I was in diapers, I also currently volunteer at Antioch Animal Shelter. I have more experience with pets 1 year+ but I’m comfortable with younger pets as well. I do have another job but we get to pick our own schedules so there will be no issues there. I can work with your schedule I treat pet sitting like babysitting, your baby, your rules. Whatever you decide for your pet is what I will do no questions asked. I would never want to come into someone else’s home and change the way you do things. If there is anything I’m uncomfortable with I will be sure to communicate it effectively and immediately.
About: We’re a family of 5 who absolutely love animals! Along with me and my wife, our nephew and niece, and our sister also help care for your precious furbabies, giving them lots of attention, playtime, and love while they stay with us. I truly enjoy spoiling pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. My friends often describe me as reliable, responsible, and someone they can fully trust with their pets. My wife and I both permanently work from home, so your pets will rarely be left alone and will always have company throughout the day. Our schedules are flexible, which allows us to offer weekday daycare and consistent care. We usually take our dog on walks in the morning and afternoon, and we love including other furry friends in our routine. We currently live in a welcoming home with a secure backyard where pets can safely explore, play, or simply relax. Inside the house, pets are treated like family — they’re welcome on the couch and bed, and we also have a crate available if needed for comfort or training. Whether they enjoy being active or lounging indoors, we make sure every pet feels right at home with us. I’m permanently working from home now with my wife. My work is usually flexible. We’re free weekdays to do day care. I usually walk our dog in the morning and afternoon. We now live in a house with a backyard. They can still sit on the couch and bed, and we always have a crate available if needed. They are also free to explore the backyard or just relax inside. It's a very welcoming home.
“Billie is madly in love with Mike! He is fun and sweet with Billie while also setting boundaries that helps her learn better behavior. He is also helpful in guiding me in my care for Billie - I appreciate getting advice from a dog trainer who is getting to know Billie better and better. Thank you!”

About: About Jovelle: I’ve always loved animals and caring for them. I’ve taken care of multiple dogs and cats on different occasions; I love to walk, play, and give lots of care and attention to the animals that are trusted in my care. They are the best thing in this world, and I would treat your pets like family! About Jodie: I'm Jodie, Jovelle's sister, and I help out around the house with boarding and housesitting that Jovelle is unavailable for. We sometimes work together as a team to provide the best care for your pets! You can rest assured that your pets will be at the forefront of my mind when booking with me. I give all my attention to each gig I have! Every pet is different, with different personalities, temperaments, schedules, etc. Of course I would love to pet, play, and be around your fur baby most of the time, but a lot of animals have boundaries, and I would honor them. If you choose to have your pet stay with us, we have a huge, fenced backyard that is just waiting for pups to play around in. I live in a house with my animal-loving family. They are adverse to getting a pet of our own, but they don’t mind pet sitting at all.
About: I have two dogs, one who I am currently going through the process of behavioral modification and one who recently crossed the rainbow bridge in February. At home I have always been the caretaker giving them food, cleaning after them, bathing them, and seeking medical advice if I noticed something was off. I’m generally detail oriented and I enjoy spending time with dogs. I also have had other pets as well including fish, chickens, and canaries so I’ve grown up surrounded by animals. I try to research any of the problems they experience myself and come up with a course of action with how to deal with them keeping in mind costs, effectiveness, and safety. My dogs are my running buddies and when I have the chance I like going hiking with them, taking them to swim, and even sitting around a campfire with them. I’m currently a pre-health student who’s going to be available on weekends, mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and soon I will be available on Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoon. I am on a weight loss journey so it helps me to excercise your dog too. Depending on the day and on the pets needs I would give them potty breaks. As for water it’s better to wait until after they get back home and cool down from the walk so they don’t get gastric dialiation, unless they really need it.

About: Welcome to our profile! We are Des and Treo Bell! When it comes to pet care, our combined efforts are unmatched. Des has been raising stray cats for 14 years. Treo has been working at a pet care facility for 12. Together they have adopted two dogs, a cat and a bunny, with many more to come! We have lots of experience with different kinds of animals and temperaments. From chickens to lizards, we have got you covered! We also have lots of experience with young pups, senior dogs, giving medications and other varying special needs! * We understand how important and stressful it can be finding the perfect person for your pet care needs and we want to support you however we can. With that being said, we ask that you please disclose prior to meeting if you have already booked with or are seriously considering another party. We gladly provide services for a large area of the bay, so physical meet and greets come at some expense to us. We’re very grateful for your understanding! Treo is an ASL interpreter for K-12 students, so she works during the day. Des is a security guard during the evening and an accounting student. Des takes care of the pets in the day time; morning walk, breakfast, a bit of playtime. Treo is home for the evening routine; dinner, walk and lots of attention. While we don’t offer sitting in our home, we don’t let that stop us from providing the best care in yours. We make sure to respect the space and leave everything exactly as we found it.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pittsburg
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a great experience with Madelyn! She took wonderful care of our puppy, Brix, and I could tell from the photos that he was having the best time with her. She took him on walks, brought him to the dog park, and really made an effort to make sure he got to play, explore, and enjoy himself. I especially appreciated all the photo updates throughout their time together. It gave me so much peace of mind seeing Brix happy, comfortable, and having fun while we were away. As a puppy, he has plenty of energy, and Madelyn did an amazing job keeping him active and entertained. It’s always a little hard leaving your puppy in someone else’s care, but Madelyn made me feel completely comfortable. Most importantly, Brix clearly enjoyed his time with her! We would absolutely have Madelyn take care of him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely care about their pup. ❤️🐶

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
