Antonio and his partner were absolutely wonderful with my dog! My pup is a high energy 120+ lb rescue with past negative experiences with humans so he has a tendency to be very slow to trust new people. He picks up on fear or hesitation immediately, which usually makes him leery. From the start, Antonio was patient, calm, and let my dog approach at his own pace until he felt safe. To my surprise, my dog took to both Antonio and his partner right away! They are warm, gentle, and remarkably perceptive, adjusting their approach to match the dog's needs. It is clear they genuinely love animals, and I think dogs pick up on that authentic energy. Because they were able to tag-team, they kept my dog’s routine consistent and ensured he was never left alone for long. They played with him, sent regular updates and photos, responded quickly, and even got him some new toys. The video they sent the first day gave me complete peace of mind and I was able to actually enjoy my trip knowing my dog was in such capable and caring hands. I am so grateful for this experience and cannot recommend Antonio enough!

Where to start? I have used sitters from Rover many, many times while traveling, etc. I have always had good experiences until now. I have always felt my pets and house were well taken care of until now. I have always had good communication, trust, and peace of mind until Antonio and his wife this time around. From the beginning, there were red flags, but I ignored them as I prepared for the trip, and because Antonio had some good reviews. Communication in advance was spotty and would go days without a response. I thought "no big deal -- we are still a week or so out." The lack of communication carried over from day one of the trip. I had asked 9and always do) for at least a few pics a day in the morning and evening. I got nothing for days. When I finally asked pointedly for pics I got one. He and his wife were left with clear instructions for the house,l the aquariums, and the dogs. NONE were followed. The aquarium lights weren't ever turned on until I sent numerous messages. The camera that I have that monitors the reef aquariums was blocked. I eventually figured out that was so I couldn't check the lights simply because he wasn't even going to my house. The dogs' feeding times were communicated at 7am and 4pm. On day three of my trip I was able to ascertain that no one had been with my dogs (this was supposed to be live-in care) and the dogs weren't fed until 9 pm. The fish went unfed, and I lost much of the tank. The next day, I eventually had to send a friend over to check on them, and the dogs had again not been fed by 9pm and their water bowls were entirely dry. No one had been in the house at all. Finally, after a day of repeated attempts to contact Rover I arranged for a new pet sitter who was fantastic. But when she arrived that ight the dogs again hadn't been fed, the water bowls were again dry, and the fish tank lights were off. She communicated that the dogs (two dachshunds) voraciously drank two bowls of water in a row; they were so thirsty. My pets, my aquariums, and my house were neglected. The only response from Antonio (at 9pm one night) was "I had to take care of my own work first." I lost thousands of dollars in corals and fish. My dogs were mistreated. Antonio left garbage piled up, and what should have been a stress-free vacation was anything but enjoyable. I don't know yet what Rover's resolution will be, but at this time I am out the money I paid Antonio. I had to pay the new sitter as well on top of that. This man and his wife should never be put in charge of your loved ones.

Antonio was a great sitter, kept me updated on the pooch and took care of him well.

Antonio was super reliable, patient, communicative, and flexible in meeting the needs of my sweet pup who is pretty nervous when meeting new people. He was happy to go at her pace and adjust the walking plan to help make sure my pup felt comfortable!

I had a great experience with this sitter! Antonio was so nice and responsive, keeping me updated throughout the stay. The pups were clearly well taken care of and happy. He left the house clean and followed instructions provided. Will definitely be using Antonio again!
