I do hold another part-time job and I am usually out of the home for ~6 hours at a time. Other than being away for the time that I do my other work, I would spend the rest of the time (including throughout the night for house-sits) with your pets!

House Sitting: During a house sitting stay, I prioritize the consistent wellbeing of your pets. While in your home, I will maintain a close eye on them to be sure they are happy and having fun! Should I need to leave for any amount of time, I will ensure they are fully prepared and comfortable beforehand by making sure they have enough water, have had bathroom breaks, and that anything apart of their regular routine has been done. We can discuss what will be best for your pet's comfort and security during the time I’m away. Boarding Services: I unfortunately do not offer any boarding services in my home at this time.

I would like to know how your pets interact with other animals. This is helpful for me to know for situations like leashed walks where they may encounter another animal. Understanding their typical reaction allows me to manage these situations accordingly! I would also like to know if your pets vaccines are all up to date as well, just for the safety of everyone. Finally, I would like to know if certain things make your pets unhappy so I can avoid doing them (for example, my dog doesn’t let you pet/touch his back legs or he will nip at you).
A typical day
I can tailor the activities to your pups energy level to make sure they are having the best time possible! I can take your pups to the park, just around the neighborhood, or even hiking trails! If no walks are necessary, we can just enjoy the backyard together! We can play with their toys, cuddle up on the couch (or floor - if they’re not allowed on furniture), or even learn some new tricks using positive reinforcement! Anything to keep their mind occupied and prevent boredom. For kitties, I love having play time/enrichment time with them as well! I am a big fan of cuddling with the kitties too!

Hi, I'm Julia! Animals are my passion, and I'm excited to connect with you and your pets! My professional journey in animal care spans over 9 years, with experience in busy dog boarding/daycare facilities, vet medicine, and dog training. Alongside this, I've enjoyed over 20 years of personal experience caring for pets. I'm confident in handling diverse groups of dogs. I've managed over 40 at once, always prioritizing their safety and observing their behavior and body language. I'm also skilled at walking multiple dogs on leash and providing basic grooming services. I'm definitely not afraid of the cleaning that comes with the territory! My own little animal family includes three pitbulls and a tortoise, and I have had cats previously. My comfort level includes other types of animals too, as I have experience with pocket pets and reptiles in a professional setting. Working with Rover is the perfect chance for me to do what I love and am most passionate about in life. I have aspirations of opening up my own pet care business in the future, and feel like this is a great start for me! I am animal CPR certified as well.
