About: I grew up with two dogs—a Chow Chow and a German Shepherd/Collie mix—and caring for them helped shape my lifelong love of dogs. As a kid, I helped my mom with her dog walking business, which gave me early hands-on experience working with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. In my 20s, I cared for friends’ and roommates’ dogs, and over the past 10 years I’ve continued dog and house sitting as a trusted side business. Through that experience, I’ve become comfortable caring for a wide range of personalities and routines, and I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I adopted my dog from the Oakland SPCA, and through their training classes I’ve learned a great deal about dog behavior, communication, and care. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement and science-backed training methods that help dogs feel safe and understood. When caring for a dog, my priority is building trust and creating a calm environment. I understand that every dog has a different personality, energy level, and comfort zone, so I try to meet them where they are with patience and kindness. I have a friendly dog and work from home, which allows me to easily care for other dogs. I’m able to provide consistent attention and companionship throughout the day. Dogs won’t be left alone for long periods of time and will get plenty of love, supervision, playtime, and potty breaks. My dog is very playful and enjoys the company of other dogs. I have a patio and a courtyard for them to hang out and play in, and a safe neighborhood to walk them in. I adjust routines based on your dog’s needs to make sure they’re getting the right amount of activity. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications if needed, and I communicate with the owner as often as they want.
