“Houda & Fawzi and their lovely family were fantastic with Zoe (3yo pit bull). Their children are amazing with the dogs and there’s so much of their property to roam for Zoe. Zoe was exhausted, well fed and much loved when she came home. Thanks!”

“Matthew was absolutely amazing with my Bear. I was initially a little nervous to hear how the first walk went given my dog’s fondness of squirrels. Matthew’s confidence, care and warmth toward Bear made him feel at home, like they have known each other forever. I highly recommend and plan on consistently booking. Thank you Matt!!”

About: I have had pets since I was a child, including cats and dogs. My family and I have had our current cat and prior cats from kittens, and our Golden Retriever Arnold since he was a puppy. I have the option of working at home full-time, and spending time cuddling your fur baby or taking him or her for walks and/or runs. I have a fenced yard and a friendly golden to keep your dog entertained and show him/her the ropes. I am happy to have a lap dog, or a more active dog who likes to fetch, swim, walk, or run.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience and genuine love for every dog I care for. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies learning the ropes of training and socialization, to senior dogs who need extra patience, gentle handling, and sometimes medication. I provide personalized attention, daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation tailored to each dog’s personality and needs. Beyond just basic care, I focus on creating a safe, loving environment where your dog feels happy, comfortable, and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s teaching new tricks, keeping routines consistent, or giving endless belly rubs and cuddles, your furry friend will be in caring, reliable hands every day. Pet care is a top priority in my daily and weekly routine. Every day, I dedicate time for walks, play, feeding, and any special needs your dog may have. Puppies get training sessions and extra attention, while senior dogs receive gentle care and monitoring. I structure my schedule to ensure consistent exercise, socialization, and rest for every pet in my care. I’m flexible and reliable, making sure your furry friend’s routine stays consistent even when you’re away, so they feel happy, safe, and loved at all times. I provide loving, attentive care at your home. I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions like medications or training exercises. My goal is to keep your furry friend happy, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away. Whether it’s puppies needing extra attention or senior dogs requiring gentle care, I make sure every pet feels safe and loved in their own environment.
“Sharmista was kind, loving, and caring with our 1 yo Maltipoo, Yoda. She was very considerate and gave us updated with how he was adapting to his first time at her home. Yoda, enjoyed it and came home happy. I would highly recommend Sharmista!”

“My dogs had a great day with Brittany! She sent a ton of updates and I didn’t have to worry about them while I was at work! She made our shy rescue shepherd mix feel at home and kept our rambunctious corgi entertained! Thank you Brittany!”
“JP did an amazing job with my husky on a last-minute request, he has a beautiful and safe house and large yard. He sent lots of photos so I could see how my boy was doing and I saw all of the activity he was getting with play time and walks. Their dog Arnold is clearly very friendly and was great company. Will rebook with confidence any time”

“Remi had a great time!!! I’m 9 months pregnant and had a baptism to go to. My dog had a biopsy done a week ago and needed to stay with someone. Sahaila even offered to pick him up to make things easier for me. Remi was walked and seemed so happy in the pictures that were sent!! He had a great time, thank you Sahaila!”

“Highly recommend Dylan! He’s local, super reliable, and great with my puppy, Olivia. He has two small dogs that Olivia absolutely loved playing with, which made her experience even better. It’s great to find a sitter where your pet gets both personal attention and social time.”

“Xue was able to take care of my puppy and meet on very short notice! My pup had the opportunity to play with other dogs and she sent pictures and videos throughout the day :) thanks so much!”

“Best I can tell, Lucy has had a great time staying with Antoine. She was a bit nervous at first but now seems eager to go. Thanks for taking good care of her, Antoine. We will definitely be back as the need arises.”
“Aubrey always sends lots of pupdates and ensures Teddy is happy and safe. When Teddy is in her care I never have to worry because I know she takes great care of him. He is always happy and tired when I pick him up! Thank you so much Aubrey and we can’t wait for more daycare and boarding in the future!”

About: I have done pet care on Rover for about 3 years now, and cared for animals all across the spectrum. Dogs who need medication, cats, puppies, senior dogs, you name it. Before then, I was pet sitting for friends and family since I was a little kid. Now I want to make it my own thing! I am a recent college graduate with lots of time on my hands and energy to spend. I’d love to give your pet the love it deserves! I will do whatever is needed to care for your pet. I will follow any instructions that are needed and will make sure to do it with 110% of my effort! Your pet’s wellbeing is very important to me.

“I will definitely be going back! Bandit LOVED being with them. I knew they’d be good sitters when they walked out and the kids and Shawna had researched my dogs breed (Frisian Stabij) that was an immediate sigh of relief and it only went up from there. They were communicative, sent pictures, and so trustworthy. Would recommend !!”

“Excellent stay! Easy to communicate with and so grateful that they had availability last minute when my baby Moo needed a safe place while my fire alarms were worked on. Thank you! Will use again!”

Jing’s place was nice and clean. The front yard had several safety gates available so it reassured me my puppy wouldn’t run off into the street as young dogs can get excited. It was our puppy’s first time going to doggy daycare so I also didn’t know what to expect. We provided our dog food, which he didn’t eat because he doesn’t typically eat during the time we booked but wanted to make sure he had a backup in case needed. My puppy is house trained so I asked if he had any accidents, Jing stared he didn’t. He also had some time outside in the fenced backyard to sniff and play.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Danville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
