I am a health care industry remote working professional who enjoys spending time with my senior pug, Ginger. My residence is on a 1 acre lot with a private valley, and controlled gated access. The house also has a hummingbird colony that calls it home for decades. I love to take Ginger for walks, and engage with other pet lovers, in a world where everyone is plugged into their devices. I recognize its a huge responsibility and an honor to take care of your pet. I also travel and the need to have a loving caring home for my pet has been a major area of concern. Pets are very sensitive to changes in their routine, and absence of their care provider, and need a caring home while they await your return. With that in mind, it's important to provide both comfort - food, rest, play time, bio breaks - and also reassurance in a moment that can be stressful. I recognize the need that disruptions can cause their bodily routines to change, and those moments need care and understanding. I am fine with that. About: I grew up surrounded by animals, with a dad who’s a farmer and a home full of furry (and sometimes feathery) companions. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, and while life took me down a different path, my love and passion for animals never changed. These days, I enjoy walking and carrying for dogs. There's something special about just being present with them. I’m also a proud mom to two animal-loving girls (ages 8 and 10), and together we dream of having a house full of animals... if only we had the space! I am self employed so I can set my own hours. She cared for Abbie like her own baby, and sent us the sweetest updates, which were so reassuring and helped us to relax and enjoy our time away. In fact we were so happy to see a video of Abbie snuggling with Sahar after just an hour of leaving her. I can tell Abbie felt very loved because she didn’t show any signs of anxiety from the separation when we got her back home. My dog spent two weeks with Stacey and her family and I highly recommend the attention and care that she and her son gave Nova. For our first experience with Rover, we couldn’t be more impressed by Marisa. From the moment she met our dog Bailey, we could tell our girl would be in great hands. Bhumi and her family were very kind and caring with our dog, Lambeau. They watched him for a week and gave him plenty of exercise. They were mindful to exercise him early or late in the day and keep him indoors on a few days when the temperatures rose pretty high. Bhumi sent me daily pictures of Lambeau and I could tell he was being well-cared for. We are very happy that he had a comfortable stay with them and would use Bhumi again for dog boarding!
