“What a great family and dog sitters!!!!! The kids know hope to care and lead dogs. Hoada and Fawzi are warm, calm and welcoming. The trust and confidence in dog care is solid. A great spot for dog care!”

“Thank you Frank and Thao for taking such great care of Louie. We appreciated the pictures and updates and looked like he had so much fun playing with Walter in the big backyard. We were comforted leaving our fur baby in your care and will rebook again!!”

“I was nervous about having anyone watch my six-month-old Ridgeback because I'd had a bad experience years ago with another dog, but I had a long-scheduled family event to attend and I had no choice. Kelly made all the difference. She was warm and inviting, and my dog, Luca, seemed to warm to her right away during our initial consultation. And she, her daughters, and her extended family could not have been better after I brought Luca there for his visit. Kelly sent me photos and videos of Luca racing around her yard, playing with the kids, and generally having a good time -- which enabled me to relax and have a good time with my family. In short, Kelly is great. I could not recommend her more highly.”

About: I have owned pets of diverse age and size, from litter age to senior dogs - their love is sublime, and their ask & needs endearing. I am a health care industry remote working professional who enjoys spending time with my senior pug, Ginger. My residence is on a 1 acre lot with a private valley, and controlled gated access. The house also has a hummingbird colony that calls it home for decades. I love to take Ginger for walks, and engage with other pet lovers, in a world where everyone is plugged into their devices. I recognize its a huge responsibility and an honor to take care of your pet. I also travel and the need to have a loving caring home for my pet has been a major area of concern. Pets are very sensitive to changes in their routine, and absence of their care provider, and need a caring home while they await your return. With that in mind, it's important to provide both comfort - food, rest, play time, bio breaks - and also reassurance in a moment that can be stressful. I recognize the need that disruptions can cause their bodily routines to change, and those moments need care and understanding. I am fine with that. I sincerely hope that when their stay with me is complete, and they are back in your arms, they look back with a wag, as they hop in the family car for the trip home.
“Sharmistha was fantastic. She provided a really comfortable environment and backyard for my dog to stay. She had other dogs which my dog loves. And this was during a time when we were moving, so Zoey had more anxiety than we have seen before. Zoey had a hard time staying at a pet smart a few days before this, so we were worried she would also have issues with Sharmistha. But her stay was just perfect. Thanks Sharmistha!”

“Ulunma was so sweet! My dog had plenty of room to run around in the backyard and I was able to bring his bed from home to keep him comfy inside. Her pup was a great playmate for my dog, as well!”

“We live in Orange County and just visited Bay Area to attend a friend’s wedding this past weekend and had Daisy, our 1.5 year old golden doodle, with us. We were so lucky to find Chris on Rover to have Daisy stay with him for the 24 hour window that we were engaged in the wedding activities. He is a super kind and caring guy and he and his wife treated our little daughter like their own dog. Every time I texted him I got an update with a cute picture within 10 minutes? Couldn’t be happier about our dog sitter choice, strongly recommend him to anyone living in the area or visiting and will definitely use him on our future trips to Bay Area.”

“James and his children were attentive and engaged with our dog over her weekend stay. It was clear that they enjoy dogs. James clearly has experience with dog sitting and updated us with photos. Would definitely recommend, and will book with him again!”

“Judith is an awesome sitter with a great set up for dogs in her home/yard. She’s been so accommodating and has reduced the stress of my dog sitting needs!! Thanks so much Judith!”

“Amazing! We can’t say enough good things about this experience. We found Virginie & Maxime’s listing here on Rover and it was perfect from there forward. We had a meet and greet which included our pup Blue and their daughter Louise. She did great with Blue and we dropped him off a few days later. He had beautiful walks and playtimes which were shared with us via video. They even kept up with his commands and training. But best of all were the interactions with the family. Looked like he got hugs and cuddles every day. Our daughter who is 5 was so happy he had kids to play with that enjoyed holding him. We would definitely trust this family with our pup if care is needed again. Thank you all for making it such a low stress and happy experience for everyone! We were lucky to find you and your lovely family.”

“This was a great experience!! This was the first time our dog stayed with someone we didn't know and Ruth made the process so easy. We felt so relaxed knowing our dog was not only well taken care of but loved! Ruth sent constant updates and photos to keep us informed. We would definitely return and highly recommend Ruth!!”

“Diana took great care of my cat Oliver. She sent me daily pictures/videos to show me how he’s doing. Oliver’s usually very reserved and takes around three days to come out of hiding when with a new sitter but with Diana he was coming out the first night already. He got along really well with her cat Spikey as well. They were having a blast chasing each other all night. I highly recommend to book her as your sitter.”

“Our dog loved staying at Stefanie’s with her dog Prince. She always sent us updates and pictures. We would love to rebook with her in the future because she’s amazing!”

“Excellent experience! Our dog had a great time while he was there, and he was very well cared for. We also received many lovely photos that helped us miss him just a bit less 😉. We Highly recommend Brayden and Noel!”

“Casey is the best! Casey accepted our request to watch Jojo last minute which we really appreciated. He sent us the best updates with lots of photos of our girl. She’s been snoozing all day since we brought her home! Definitely will book with Casey again!”

“Patrick was wonderful to work with- very accommodating and professional. Our 9yr old labradoodle trotted off with Patrick without hesitation. Patrick kept me updated and also sent photos. Drop off and pick up were a breeze-Convenient location near the highway. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog did well . As this is his first visit and first time boarding , he was comfortable in the environment with other dogs . Yena was patient and knowledgeable. We are coming back and scheduled our next visits.”

“Stephanie is the best! I’m such a worry wart with my pets and I always trust her whenever we are away. She goes above and beyond. You can tell she truly loves the animals she watches.”

“Allison did house/pet sitting for 3 nights when we are away. She was awesome! She was very responsive, gave updates and sent photos everyday and managed to get along with our not so social cat. Our cat was happy and she left home tidy and clean. Definitely will hire her again for our future trips.”

“Thanks Lara! Loved seeing the photos while we were gone! Lucy was a happy girl when we got home! Thanks for leaving some cute photo prints and doggie treats! Great communication! Take care!”

About: I have always had at least one dog in my life, so not only does my love for dogs run deeply but so does my knowledge of care. I want to make sure your pet is comfortable, fed, watered, and has gotten time to be outside to play and go to the bathroom. In addition, I have taken care of other peoples' animals throughout my life. As of right now, my weeks are open to taking care of your pets in whatever way they may need. This is my top priority. When taking care of your pet I make sure they always have water and food, have time for potty breaks, and are comfortable. I also always give them plenty of attention, cuddles, and love. If there are any special instructions, I also make sure to give the specific care your pet needs.
“I had a last-minute need for someone to check in on my dog due to a flight delay, and Hailey truly saved the day! She responded quickly, was flexible and reliable, and kept me updated throughout the entire process to ensure my dog was well cared for. I’m so grateful to Hailey for stepping in on such short notice and would highly recommend her for any future pet sitting needs. Thank you, Hailey!”

“Betsy looked after our kitty, house, and plants while we were on vacation for two weeks. Our house was just the way we left it when we came home and our kitty was a happy boy! Betsy kept us updated that everything was just fine at home during our vacation. We would use her again :)”

About: I have always had pets my entire life, spanning from raising puppies to caring for my senior disabled dog! Animals are a blessing to me! I’m a college student home for summer looking to boost my experience working with pets! I have a very flexible/ open daily and weekly schedule. I give pets my undivided attention, and understand the importance of keeping them safe and healthy! I want to keep your pet happy and comfortable :)

“Rachael was punctual, great with communication, and took cute photos of our boys. She seems to have a lot of experience and wasn't intimidated by our younger dog that can be a handful. We look forward to having her come again!”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals, with a dad who’s a farmer and a home full of furry (and sometimes feathery) companions. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, and while life took me down a different path, my love and passion for animals never changed. These days, I enjoy walking and carrying for dogs. There's something special about just being present with them. I’m also a proud mom to two animal-loving girls (ages 8 and 10), and together we dream of having a house full of animals... if only we had the space! I am self employed so I can set my own hours. I love to be outside. I walk my own dog everyday. Happy to take animals on walks, play with my own dog or even go on a hike. I live on ½ an acre with lots of grass and a fenced in backyard. We live right near the Iron Horse Trail so walks are encouraged. =)

“Eva was great! Very responsive and genuinely wanted to make sure that our kitties were well taken care of while we were gone. All 3 of our kitties quickly warmed up to her and we truly appreciated all of her help.”

“Vicki was amazing taking care of my two elder guinea pigs while I went out of town. Unfortunately, one of my guinea pigs fell ill right before I left and was left with six various medications. Vicki was great at following instructions, asking questions, and letting me know about any behavioral changes. I was definitely thrown a lot of curveballs, and Vicki handled them like a champ. I would definitely recommend!”

“Great experience. The cats were happy to see me but also looked great. One of them has a tendency to pull fur if he’s stressed or misses us, but his coat was still luscious and fully intact when we got home. They were well looked after”

“Julia is amazing! She went above and beyond to take care of my cat, and communicated everything. She is definitely an animal whisperer and my cat loves her! I definitely recommend Julia.”

“Fei is so kind, and she went above and beyond while caring for my cat. She is quick and thorough with communication, asks a lot of important questions, and makes sure to check in frequently. My cat absolutely loved her, and I could tell he was very well taken care of and loved while I was away. Also, my apartment and all of my cat's space/things were well-maintained and neat when I got back, which I appreciate so much. I would 100% ask Fei to watch my pet again in the future and would highly recommend booking her. Thank you, Fei!!! :)”

“Houda & Fawzi and their lovely family were fantastic with Zoe (3yo pit bull). Their children are amazing with the dogs and there’s so much of their property to roam for Zoe. Zoe was exhausted, well fed and much loved when she came home. Thanks!”

“Matthew was absolutely amazing with my Bear. I was initially a little nervous to hear how the first walk went given my dog’s fondness of squirrels. Matthew’s confidence, care and warmth toward Bear made him feel at home, like they have known each other forever. I highly recommend and plan on consistently booking. Thank you Matt!!”

“Vicki always does a great job taking care of my dog and she keeps me posted throughout my dog’s stay. I can tell from her pictures that my dog feels safe and comfortable with her.”

“Nicole was a great day care for my dog today! We arranged a little meet and greet the weekend before, which was such an amazing touch. My doggy came back happy! I would definitely reach out to Nicole again :)”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience and genuine love for every dog I care for. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies learning the ropes of training and socialization, to senior dogs who need extra patience, gentle handling, and sometimes medication. I provide personalized attention, daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation tailored to each dog’s personality and needs. Beyond just basic care, I focus on creating a safe, loving environment where your dog feels happy, comfortable, and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s teaching new tricks, keeping routines consistent, or giving endless belly rubs and cuddles, your furry friend will be in caring, reliable hands every day. Pet care is a top priority in my daily and weekly routine. Every day, I dedicate time for walks, play, feeding, and any special needs your dog may have. Puppies get training sessions and extra attention, while senior dogs receive gentle care and monitoring. I structure my schedule to ensure consistent exercise, socialization, and rest for every pet in my care. I’m flexible and reliable, making sure your furry friend’s routine stays consistent even when you’re away, so they feel happy, safe, and loved at all times. I provide loving, attentive care at your home. I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions like medications or training exercises. “Namrata, took care of my Kona. Kona is usually with me and very attached and takes a moment to warm up. Namrata kept me updated and sent me pictures. She was also flexible and kind. I will definitely be bringing Kona back.”

“Mochi loved her time with Marien! We could tell she felt immediately at ease when we dropped her off (which is very unusual for Mochi) and appreciated the frequent photo updates throughout the stay. We will definitely be bringing her back for more walks and cuddles in the future!”

About: I have had pets since I was a child, including cats and dogs. My family and I have had our current cat and prior cats from kittens, and our Golden Retriever Arnold since he was a puppy. I have the option of working at home full-time, and spending time cuddling your fur baby or taking him or her for walks and/or runs. I have a fenced yard and a friendly golden to keep your dog entertained and show him/her the ropes. I am happy to have a lap dog, or a more active dog who likes to fetch, swim, walk, or run.
“Joanne was a lifesaver! When I dropped my dog off with Joanne, we realized I had booked daycare instead of boarding, but she was so sweet and very flexible. Even though she already had a house full of dogs, she gladly boarded my dog and took such good care of her. She introduced her to bully sticks, which she loved, and gave her plenty of playtime and exercise. Joanne was very responsive and sent me updates and pictures daily. Magi came home tired and happy;) I would use Joanne again and again!”

“Sarah was very professional and extremely easy to communicate with. Henna is very anxious when meeting new people and dogs, but seemed to warm up with Sarah who was very patient and caring with her.”
“JP did an amazing job with my husky on a last-minute request, he has a beautiful and safe house and large yard. He sent lots of photos so I could see how my boy was doing and I saw all of the activity he was getting with play time and walks. Their dog Arnold is clearly very friendly and was great company. Will rebook with confidence any time”

“Katey was fabulous walking our dog! She clearly loves dogs and is affectionate with them and she knows how to handle them. She's punctual and communicative. We will definitely have her back again in the future!”

About: Hi! My name is Zoey, and I am a 21-year-old looking for opportunities to make sure your dog gets what they need while you are away! I've taken care of dogs for many years, but have taken more official paid positions in the last 4. Recently, I have worked to board dogs for families around my college town for periods of up to 6 hours to allow these families to go out for dinners, to the movies, and more without the need to worry about their dogs at home. I have walked dogs for local families regularly, helped take care of special needs dogs on check-ins (such as those with neurogenic bladder), and have dropped by houses to feed, play, and give love and affection to their dogs. When I was 12 years old, my sister and I took it upon ourselves to train our neighbor's golden retriever, Sandy Cheeks, to heel so that we could take her on walks and she would be easier to handle. We successfully managed to teach her, not just how to heel, but also how to come when called, shake, and roll over (quite a feat since many goldens don't love to learn how to roll over). Since then, I have loved learning how to handle dogs of all types, working with slightly reactive dogs, to energetic dogs that don't know their own strength. I am a dog enthusiast! All my life, I have loved dogs so much, but my parents were allergic and refused to get a pet. Finally, in my senior year of high school, my parents got a medium-sized golden doodle and surprised my sister and me. I cried. I can not express the level of joy I experience around dogs. Many of my friends could attest to the connection I have with dogs when I meet them. They are shocked by how much their dogs love me right away. What they don’t know is that I have carefully researched ways to approach dogs and read their body language to determine how they would like to be interacted with. I am a researcher at heart. I am an undergrad in college who has worked on multiple graduate-level research projects in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, biology, and sports studies. When I fell in love with animals, I made it a mission to know how to handle them and treat them with the care they deserve. Where to pet the dog, how to walk up to a dog, what sort of eye contact to make with the dog; these are all examples of how I have learned to pay attention to dogs and respect their boundaries in order to create deep bonds. I am my dog's safe place; she will come and sit between my legs when overwhelmed because she trusts me to protect her and not to treat her the way she needs to be treated at that moment. I would bring this level of care, passion, and enthusiasm to every workday and hope to strengthen the care and play experience of all dogs. I have worked with dogs of many breeds and many ages with many different needs. I have experience with nervous dogs, hyperactive dogs, reactive dogs, super intelligent dogs, stubborn dogs, and hypoallergenic dogs. I am an athlete, and my athletic and strength training have allowed me to handle strong dogs on lead, heavy dogs, and aggressive dogs that pull or suddenly jerk. My athleticism is particularly handy with highly energetic breeds. My own dog's favorite hobby is getting chased around by me or chasing after me. I have also been known to take dogs on runs with me or hikes. If your dog has a particular routine that involves going for a morning run, I would be the perfect candidate to keep that habit up while you're away! I have held many part-time jobs, and I am consistent and reliable. I am a great candidate to take care of your dog in any way. Consider me for all your pet care needs! I am an early riser! If you'd like a walk for your pet, morning, noon, and afternoon walks are the best! I like to schedule my pet care throughout my day, such as in the morning, at noon, and in the afternoon. It depends on what pet care you need from me, but for a home drop-in, I prefer to have time to take your pup out, feed them if necessary, get them used to my presence, calmed down, and give them a little treat before I take off. I am free for a large majority of the time. I work several part-time jobs at the moment, so scheduling around shorter shifts is no problem for me. I am extremely responsible with other people's properties. I am a detail-oriented person and not one to make mistakes or leave a mess when in another person's space. I follow the philosophy: leave every place better than you entered. In this case, I would leave your home better by giving your dogs care. When your pet is with me, their safety and emotional state are my number one priority. If I need to transport your pet anywhere, I am an excellent driver and have never once been ticketed or gotten into an accident. For walks, I have experience with animal safety and protection from other pets and wild animals. With small dogs, you never have to worry about a potential coyote attack or a larger breed biting the dog. I take dog safety very seriously and prepare for every walk with proper equipment, extra food for the dog, extra poop bags, and water. I will always switch to walking a dog or multiple dogs on the inside of me when passing other animals. I am also experienced using treats to maintain a dog's attention. I will never force your dog into any situation that their body language tells me they are not okay with. I am detail-oriented and good at shutting down potentially dangerous situations before they occur.

About: I have been surrounded by cats and dogs for my entire life! Growing up, I was the go-to pet sitter in my neighborhood and since then, I've taken care of my neighbors, friends, and families' pets. I grew up with cats, and currently have teenage German Shepherd mix puppy named Lucas. I typically work from home Weds and Fri and am available at all times for your dog those days and on the weekends. The other days, I go into the office for a few hours and can be flexible as needed. I typically take my dog on several walks throughout the day, so your dog would be able to join us. When at home, your dog would be able to enjoy my fully-fenced yard. It is important that your dog is not aggressive and has been properly socialized with other dogs.

They are very experienced in feeding/plant care, walks, play time, administering oral medication, and the all important cuddles. They do not smoke and lead a fairly quiet life. Working from home has given them the incredible opportunity to spend even more time with the pets, although not sure if the fishies notice :) House Sitting: For pets & house plants The home will be left as they found it. If you are new to stay-overs, they can send over a check list of sorts to fill out & send back. As they do love snapping photos of the little (or not so little) fur babies, at your request, will send updates &/or pictures while you are away as they would like to make this time away as easy & comfortable for you as possible. We am very active & love to keep pets moving if desired. Sometimes, they like to take them for car rides or day trips, if given the ok from you ;) They will care for your little ones as if they were their own family member! Olivier & Jess look forward to taking care of your precious family member soon :) Jess’s sister & she had been pet sitting for years together. They normally had a combined profile. As time become more flexible and Olivier & Jess traveled more often they created a separate profile, but if you'd like to see more references please ask and a link can be sent to you to view. We currently work from home & will have time to give the little ones all the care & attention they need. Olivier & Jess may go out for an appointment or to dine out, but they will always make sure that the home is locked up and the pets are taken care of. When staying at client's home they am extremely respectful, clean, & responsible. It is asked that notes be given if the pet is not aloud somewhere inside or outside of the home. Olivier & Jess also care for any plants you may have so do let them know if any watering needs to be done :) Most work is done from home which ensures plenty of time for the playing and giving of love to the pets, as well, if plant care is needed. Cleanliness of the homes and providing safety/comfort to the pets are of utmost importance. Whether inside the home or outside this is of top priority.

“Our dog loved staying at Stefanie’s with her dog Prince. She always sent us updates and pictures. We would love to rebook with her in the future because she’s amazing!”

“Casey is the best! Casey accepted our request to watch Jojo last minute which we really appreciated. He sent us the best updates with lots of photos of our girl. She’s been snoozing all day since we brought her home! Definitely will book with Casey again!”

“Our dog did well . As this is his first visit and first time boarding , he was comfortable in the environment with other dogs . Yena was patient and knowledgeable. We are coming back and scheduled our next visits.”

“Awesome sitter! Took care of my guy for a few days, sent photos of my guy on walks, playing, sleeping on the couch. Clearly a household of dog lovers who go above and beyond to make sure your pup feels cared for and loved. My guy is a snuggle bug and I got plenty of photos of him snuggling with various members of the family. Made me happy and took the stress out of boarding my dog, also has the best rates locally. Check him out, great guy, family man, dog lover, you wont be disappointed!”

“Daisy did an amazing job caring for our dogs while we were out of town. From the moment we picked them up, we could tell they had a great time-they came home happy, sleepy (LOL), and clearly well-loved. They got plenty of play time with Daisy's kids and their dog, which made it feel like a true family environment. Knowing our dogs were treated like part of the family meant everything to us and gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Thank you so much Daisy and family for taking such great care of our pups! We highly recommend her and would absolutely book again!”

“Matthew provided excellent care for our two poms while we were away for the weekend. He played with them, took them on walks, sent us pics each day, and communicated with us frequently. Our dogs were so happy and content when we got home, so I know they were well cared for. I would definitely recommend Matthew. He is a true dog lover and a responsible sitter we can trust. Thank you!!”

“Maria and Kevan are wonderful!! They made our dog feel at home and I love all the photo updates I get from them. They’re very sweet and kind and I would definitely recommend them to any pup.”

“Stacy was such a great fit for our healer with big feelings! She is knowledgeable, kind and easy to communicate with. Stacy sent pics and updates - and it was clear at pickup that Cali enjoyed her stay.”
“My boyfriend and I were planning a trip and needed a sitter, but I was extremely hesitant about leaving our 15-month-old puppy, Camila, for the first time—we even considered canceling. I’m so glad we didn’t and that we found Allison! Allison is truly wonderful. We were able to do a meet-and-greet beforehand, which immediately put me at ease and reassured me that Camila would be in great hands. Allison was kind, welcoming, and incredibly responsive to all of my questions and concerns both before our trip and while we were away. She was also very flexible and accommodating with pick-up and drop-off times. Her setup is amazing—she has a fully fenced front yard, a fully fenced backyard, and indoor space, which gave Camila plenty of options to play with other dogs or relax on her own. Receiving regular pictures and videos of Camila was such a comfort and made our trip even more enjoyable. Knowing Allison was taking such great care of Camila gave me complete peace of mind.”
