About: My family has always had multiple pets since I was born. I have taken care of dogs, cats, and other small animals since I was 9. My family who I live with currently has a year old Labradoodle puppy and a 3 year old Labrador but I do not have any pets of my own at the moment so I can give your pets my full love and attention. Friends and family have asked me to petsit at their houses since I was in high school because they knew how much I loved animals. I have experience walking, feeding, and bathing both cats and dogs. I have trained puppies and dogs basic commands, potty training, tricks and crate training. I have taken care of senior dogs and cats and can administer medicine both orally and through the ear. I also have experience handling pets of various temperaments such as anxious or energetic pets. As a dog and cat lover, I have done my research on how to best care for them so I have confidence in my skills and experience. I have a flexible, day job that allows me to easily manage a routine for your pets depending on their needs and care specifics. I am used to balancing multiple things at once such as school, a job, and owning a dog.
“Julia has been amazing! She went above and beyond while taking care of my cats. She made sure they were loved and she also helped give one of my cats medication while I was gone, but I never expected her to clean! She even vacuumed and cleaned! I cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of my cats and my house!”

“Elena was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of our cat, Luka, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We really appreciated how thoughtful she was about checking in and keeping us updated. I loved receiving the daily photos she captured and her updates always made me smile. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Luka's well-being and made sure he was happy, comfortable, and well looked after. We highly recommend Elana to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter and look forward to rebooking with her in the future! Thank you, Elena!”

“Courtney is wonderful! We have very anxious dogs and she did an amazing job giving them individual care to ensure they were comfortable, safe and cared for while we were out of town. She is highly communicative and thoughtful. Would definitely book again!”

“Lara did a great job with the Drop-in visits. I highly recommend her. I think Mocha was happy too as Lara took her for small walks. I was also thrilled to see the pictures and videos that Lara sent and kept me informed how Mocha was doing. Thank you Lara, appreciate your support. Also thank you for those cute photos of Mocha that you left on the cabinet, it was a nice surprise.”

About: Growing up with an adorable mixed shelter dog and introducing an adopted King Charles Spaniel into the family, I learned how to care for both high and low energy dogs. Pet sitting for family and friends, I got to take care of puppies and senior dogs and learned the importance of a good schedule for things like naps and appropriate medications. My schedule is fairly open, primarily Monday through Friday, during the workweek, and is very flexible to make room for any walks, play time, or food breaks during the day. Pet safety is my top priority and ensuring a clean area is an important responsibility. I will provide personalized in-home care to keep your pets comfortable and entertained while they are in my care.

“Alexandra took wonderful care of my cat, Nala, over the holiday. She came by every day to give her medication, spend time with her, and make sure she was doing okay. Alexandra was reliable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely caring. I felt completely at ease knowing Nala was in her hands. I’d absolutely book with her again.”

“Fei is so kind, and she went above and beyond while caring for my cat. She is quick and thorough with communication, asks a lot of important questions, and makes sure to check in frequently. My cat absolutely loved her, and I could tell he was very well taken care of and loved while I was away. Also, my apartment and all of my cat's space/things were well-maintained and neat when I got back, which I appreciate so much. I would 100% ask Fei to watch my pet again in the future and would highly recommend booking her. Thank you, Fei!!! :)”

“My dog is so happy when Bar shows up at our door! Zibby gets good exercise and is always panting when she gets home, which is literally what the doctor ordered! Zibby loves her and what more could you ask for?”

“Rachael was punctual, great with communication, and took cute photos of our boys. She seems to have a lot of experience and wasn't intimidated by our younger dog that can be a handful. We look forward to having her come again!”

About: My name is Kelly and I’ve been caring for pups for 5 years, and behavior coach and trainer for 2. My passions focus on giving each pup the best experience, whether that’s through enrichment games, cuddles, or extra walks. You’ll feel like you never left with plenty of pupdates I’ll send your way. In my free time, you’ll find me training at the rescue and helping pups find their furever homes or working with kids. I provide a hands-on experience with my pups I care for, anticipating that I’ll work with various ages or needs. I can be as involved as you need me. Unfortunately my pet boardings are on hold for now. I currently provide house sittings, walks, and drop-ins. When house-sitting, I always treat my clients home as if it’s my own and more, always making it better than I found it. I want owners to return home feeling refreshed with clean and calm home.
“I had a last-minute need for someone to check in on my dog due to a flight delay, and Hailey truly saved the day! She responded quickly, was flexible and reliable, and kept me updated throughout the entire process to ensure my dog was well cared for. I’m so grateful to Hailey for stepping in on such short notice and would highly recommend her for any future pet sitting needs. Thank you, Hailey!”

“Stephanie is incredible! She has been incredibly accommodating with our changing schedules. We can tell she really loves our dog because he is always excited to see her. Thank you, Stephanie.💙”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals, with a dad who’s a farmer and a home full of furry (and sometimes feathery) companions. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, and while life took me down a different path, my love and passion for animals never changed. These days, I enjoy walking and carrying for dogs. There's something special about just being present with them. I’m also a proud mom to two animal-loving girls (ages 8 and 10), and together we dream of having a house full of animals... if only we had the space! I am self employed so I can set my own hours. I love to be outside. I walk my own dog everyday. Happy to take animals on walks, play with my own dog or even go on a hike. I live on ½ an acre with lots of grass and a fenced in backyard. We live right near the Iron Horse Trail so walks are encouraged. =)

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Alamo
Courtney was great and took the time to do a meet and greet with me and my cats before I left, which I really appreciated. She stayed in good communication with me while I was on my trip. My shy cats warmed up to her after a couple days, so that was really nice to see. Definitely would rebook!

Vicki was amazing taking care of my two elder guinea pigs while I went out of town. Unfortunately, one of my guinea pigs fell ill right before I left and was left with six various medications. Vicki was great at following instructions, asking questions, and letting me know about any behavioral changes. I was definitely thrown a lot of curveballs, and Vicki handled them like a champ. I would definitely recommend!

Brooke just took care of our 3 cats and did a fantastic job. She was here on each day we requested, sent photos and made sure our fur babies had everything they needed including some much needed affection. She is really great with animals. I highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alamo. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
