“Thank you for such an incredible experience my first time back to work. Petey and I are so grateful for you and Kome! We can’t wait to work with you in the future and play at the park.”

“Thanks for your help !! It was a great pet visit and I could tell the pets were well cared for and happy when we returned!! Very nice work! Thanks again! I would book again for sure !”

“Courtney is wonderful! We have very anxious dogs and she did an amazing job giving them individual care to ensure they were comfortable, safe and cared for while we were out of town. She is highly communicative and thoughtful. Would definitely book again!”

“Brandi was incredible! When we first met, I told her how shy and uncomfortable Fiona could be around strangers; Brandi was very patient with her and took time to sit and play with her - Fiona warmed right up! I've never seen that before. Very grateful for awesome communication and for Brandy's general wonderfulness - thank you so much taking care of my shy sweetheart while we were away!”

About: I have house sit, along with taken care of cats and dogs at the same time! I enjoy walking dogs especially since it makes dogs super happy! I just moved to Moraga, since I am playing for the Saint Mary’s Volleyball team. We have trainings Monday-Friday, so my hours will vary but we do have a lot of off time. So just communicating what’s best for your schedule!! I have a gated off backyard, we do however have a pool. But the pet will always be watched over with care! So no worries there.

“Kayla is truly the BEST and we feel so lucky we found her 🥹✨ From our very first meet & greet, we knew she was special — she literally showed up with a notebook and asked the most thoughtful questions about our dogs, routines, preferences, and care. That level of preparation and attention immediately put us at ease. She gives total Disney princess energy. So gentle, calm, kind, and clearly such an animal person. Both of our small, anxious rescue pups absolutely adore her (which says everything because they can be pretty selective with people!). She made them feel safe right away and has been incredibly patient and attentive with them. She’s also an amazing communicator — proactive, responsive, thoughtful updates, and just generally someone who makes you feel like your pets are in such good hands. We’re so grateful to have found Kayla and genuinely can’t recommend her enough. Thank you for taking such good care of our fur babies 🤍”

“Vania was awesome!!! I needed someone last minute and she came through. She was great with my two pitbulls and treated them like queens. She was always on time and very communicative with pictures. I strongly recommend and will be using her in the future.”

“Presley and Freya loved having Melissa take care of them! I arrived home from my trip yesterday with two pretty relaxed kitties, and a slew of new photos to add to my collection 😁 She was a great communicator, and left everything just as she found it.”

“Kit was so awesome!! We had a last minute need and she agreed to help. Kit was very patient with trying to get my shy dog comfortable with her so she could walk her. After spending some time with Rozzi, she was able to put on her leash for her walk. Kit is also very responsive, punctual and provided regular updates and pics! Thank you, thank you!”

About: ⸻ Hi, I’m Darya — your pet’s new best friend. 🐾 With over 16 years of experience as a dog walker and pet sitter, and a background working in a veterinary clinic, I bring a deep understanding of animals and their needs. Whether it’s a playful pup, a senior cat, or a nervous rescue, I care for every pet with patience, love, and a whole lot of heart. Animals have always been a huge part of my life — they’re not just pets, they’re family. I pride myself on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where your pets feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. Whether you need daily walks, overnight care, or just someone to keep your furry friend company, I’m here to help — with experience, kindness, and plenty of belly rubs. Let’s make tails wag and hearts happy Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. With over 16 years of experience in pet sitting and dog walking — and a background working in a veterinary clinic — caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I truly love. I’ve shaped my schedule around being there when your pets need me most, whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or extended stays. I approach each day with patience, reliability, and a calm energy that animals respond to. Your pets’ comfort and well-being are always my top priority. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In your home, I always respect your space and stick closely to your pet’s routine — from feeding schedules and walk times to their favorite toys and nap spots. I create a calm, familiar environment so they feel secure while you’re away. I also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I offer a cozy, clean, and peaceful space where they can relax, play, and enjoy lots of one-on-one attention. I carefully introduce them to the space and tailor everything to their individual needs — whether that means quiet corners, slow-paced walks, or plenty of playtime. No matter the setting, your pet’s well-being is always my top priority.
About: I’ve always loved animals, for their big hearts and one of a kind personality traits. My family had a Rottweiler when I was a child and she always felt like the little sister I never had. My hours are flexible so I’m open to meeting your requirements to watch over your pet. I currently don’t have any pets at the moment, so having the opportunity to cuddle up & spend some time making a new furry friend would be a treat. Overall, I’m very passionate when it comes to the safety & well-being of your pets, so I look forward to providing I am currently a freelance filmmaker, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I’m available for boarding on the weekdays, Saturdays from 10am-4pm and Sundays after 3pm it's important for me to understand the type of pet I'm caring for so that i can gauge what type of activities they're into. I love being outdoors, so if your pet is active then i can take them to some of my favorite hiking trails that are near your home. If they're homebodies then I'll typically play some tug-o-war, or fetch with their favorite toys until they're tired. Then i'll feed them and chill out.
About: I’ve had pets my whole life, including my sweet lab/German shepherd mix, Layla, who we lost to cancer 3 years ago. Right now, we have a rescued cat and a 1-year-old pup staying with family back in Las Vegas. We recently relocated to Moraga and are staying with my sister until we get on our feet and can bring our loves along with us. We're missing our pets and would love to love on yours! I'm absolutely obsessed with dogs, and my kids love all animals (they'd bring home every stray *anything* if it were up to them!). We found our cat wandering a park and took her in, so I get where they get it from! I know how important it is to feel safe leaving your pet in someone else’s care, and I treat every animal like they’re family. Whether it’s senior care, playful pups, or cuddly cats, I’ve got the experience, the patience, and the heart for it. I work in mental health remotely and my husband is at home with the kids full time while I focus on building my practice so we have a healthy amount of flexibility. We would be honored to be entrusted with the care of your little loves. We were previously homeowners who rented often and managed multiple properties, so we know how important it is to treat others' home like (if not better!) than your own. We will care for your pets in your home as you prefer, and are comfortable with crates, walks, light training, etc.
About: I love taking care of dogs and have enjoyed walking and feeding my family and friends' dogs for several years. They bring me so much joy! Due to my frequent travel for work, I'm unable to have a dog of my own at the moment. I work from home, so your dog and I can keep each other company, take breaks together, and enjoy walks during my lunch breaks. I live in a secure, dog-friendly condo building. While I don't have a backyard, your dog will be very safe and well cared for. Here's a good answer to that question: Pet care is a rewarding part of my daily and weekly routine. I make sure to carve out time each day to engage with the pets I care for, whether it's through walks, playtime, or simple companionship. Since I work from home, I can easily integrate pet care into my schedule, taking breaks to ensure the pet is comfortable, fed, and entertained. I also ensure the pet gets regular outdoor walks, play sessions, and any special attention they need. Whether it's during my lunch breaks or after work, pet care is a priority, and it brings me a lot of joy! I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment when caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. In my home, I ensure the space is secure and pet-friendly, with no hazards or areas where a pet could get into trouble. I keep the environment calm and peaceful, offering a cozy space where pets can relax. I also maintain a consistent routine for feeding, play, and walks to help pets feel safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client's home, I make sure to follow their routine and respect their preferences for care. I always communicate with pet owners about any specific instructions or needs their pet might have. I make sure to secure any doors, gates, and windows and create a safe, welcoming space for their pet to enjoy while they’re away.
About: I’d love to care for and walk your pets. Dog park romps, petting sessions, and snuggling provided. I care for them in my home or drop into your home as needed. Experience with large animals, geriatric and young animals. If you are traveling and need a reliable, fun, experienced sitter for your pets, I’d be happy to do a meet and greet and meet you and your pets. I have a 6year old neutered male Australian Sheppard and a 2 year old indoor/outdoor cat. Both are amenable to sharing their space with new furry friends. I'm an active retiree so I have plenty of time for your furry family members. My dog loves to play with new furry friends or chill and give them space. I have a fenced yard and dog door for in and out privileges. I accept dogs that are crated at night or free roaming. Home is well suited to pets.
About: What sets me apart is the love and care I bring to every pet, shaped by the bond I had with my dog Mongoose, who passed away last year. She taught me how much trust and comfort pets give us and how much they deserve in return. I treat every animal like I would treat her—with patience, affection, and real attention to their needs. I’ll care for your pet like they’re family, because to me, they are. I’m a graduating senior with a full summer ahead, so I have lots of time and flexibility to care for your pet. With no school during the summer, I can focus on giving your pet plenty of attention, exercise, and love every day. I follow your pet’s usual routine to keep them comfortable—feeding, walking, playtime, and any special needs. I make sure they get plenty of attention and stay safe in their familiar environment. I also keep the home tidy and send you updates so you know how they’re doing.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Moraga
Kit was an excellent cat sitter. I have 2 cats with various medical needs and Kit was comfortable with giving my cat his inhaler, plus liquid medicine for both cats as well as carrying out complicated feeding routines. She was able to deal with my very snotty cat, which is no easy task. I would not hesitate to hire kit again!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Moraga. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
