About: I’d love to care for and walk your pets. Dog park romps, petting sessions, and snuggling provided. I care for them in my home or drop into your home as needed. Experience with large animals, geriatric and young animals. If you are traveling and need a reliable, fun, experienced sitter for your pets, I’d be happy to do a meet and greet and meet you and your pets. I have a 6year old neutered male Australian Sheppard and a 2 year old indoor/outdoor cat. Both are amenable to sharing their space with new furry friends. I'm an active retiree so I have plenty of time for your furry family members. My dog loves to play with new furry friends or chill and give them space. I have a fenced yard and dog door for in and out privileges. I accept dogs that are crated at night or free roaming. Home is well suited to pets.
“Kit was so awesome!! We had a last minute need and she agreed to help. Kit was very patient with trying to get my shy dog comfortable with her so she could walk her. After spending some time with Rozzi, she was able to put on her leash for her walk. Kit is also very responsive, punctual and provided regular updates and pics! Thank you, thank you!”

“Ying did a great job. She was on time and gave us relevant updates and asked questions when the situation was a bit unexpected. I would recommend her and wouldn't hesitate to hire her again.”

About: I have house sit, along with taken care of cats and dogs at the same time! I enjoy walking dogs especially since it makes dogs super happy! I just moved to Moraga, since I am playing for the Saint Mary’s Volleyball team. We have trainings Monday-Friday, so my hours will vary but we do have a lot of off time. So just communicating what’s best for your schedule!! I have a gated off backyard, we do however have a pool. But the pet will always be watched over with care! So no worries there.
About: What sets me apart is the love and care I bring to every pet, shaped by the bond I had with my dog Mongoose, who passed away last year. She taught me how much trust and comfort pets give us and how much they deserve in return. I treat every animal like I would treat her—with patience, affection, and real attention to their needs. I’ll care for your pet like they’re family, because to me, they are. I’m a graduating senior with a full summer ahead, so I have lots of time and flexibility to care for your pet. With no school during the summer, I can focus on giving your pet plenty of attention, exercise, and love every day. I follow your pet’s usual routine to keep them comfortable—feeding, walking, playtime, and any special needs. I make sure they get plenty of attention and stay safe in their familiar environment. I also keep the home tidy and send you updates so you know how they’re doing.
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. Since getting my first dog at age 10, I’ve spent years learning how to understand and care for animals as individuals, each with their own personality, preferences, and comfort level. My approach is simple: meet animals where they are. Some pets want a new best friend right away, while others need time, patience, and space to build trust. I’m attentive, observant, and respectful of their boundaries, while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Over the past three years, I’ve also cared for local feral cats, gradually earning the trust and affection of animals who initially kept their distance. That experience taught me that patience and consistency matter just as much as love when it comes to caring for animals. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. My goal is to provide dependable care, thoughtful communication, and plenty of affection so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. I was apart of the tech layoffs and while I look for my next role, I thought it would be such a fun time to spend it with animals. My favorite past time is going on walks and exploring new neighborhoods & I thought to myself, this would be so much more fun with a variety of new pet friends. I treat every pet like they’re part of my family, creating a safe and loving environment that caters to their unique needs. Whether it's dogs, cats, or any other furry (or not-so-furry) friends, I believe in a tailored approach that respects their individual personalities. With over two years of experience working with feral cats, I know how to gain their trust and understand their subtle cues. Dogs? I’m all about that walk, that play, and most importantly, reading their body language to ensure they’re happy and comfortable. My passion for animals means I’m constantly learning and adapting to meet each pet's specific needs. In your home or mine, I always stick to your pet’s routine and follow your instructions carefully, so they feel safe and loved. I’m intuitive, patient, and committed to giving your pet the best care possible—because they deserve nothing less.
About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs over my years as a pet sitter. Some puppies, some elderly dogs. I have experience in emergency situations, if the need arises. This is my first time trying Rover out -I’ve usually only advertised through word of mouth. Excited to get to know you & your pet. Pet care will be my main priority. Schedule can be fit around your pet. If emergency situations arise - I have experience in that. I need to exercise so taking dogs out for walks will be welcomed. I will follow the instructions laid out for me by the employer. You let me know if your pet is allowed or not allowed on furniture and I will act accordingly.
About: We adore animals of all kinds. We have hardwood floors for accidents, and filtered water. We have a fenced yard for running around with our kids and potty, always allow indoor access, and we don’t leave your pet alone. James has volunteered at the Dog Shelter for years, has CPR/Rescue training(for humans) and an understanding of CPR and first aid for dogs. After many years of dog sitting, we've welcomed a variety of different dogs (around 50+ at last count) into our home. We have administered eye creams, injections, and many other medicines. We don't clip nails. We are happy to send pictures and videos and even facetime or video chat by request. James works from home, and we typically go for two walks a day so we are always happy to have a guest pet with us. We have thoughtfully organized our home to avoid dangerous substances, escape issues, and to ensure maximum joy and safety! We would love to give you a tour during a meet and greet.
“Alexis has taken care of our dog a couple times and now has stopped in to check on our cats and she was fantastic! She took great care of them and sent lots of pictures. Highly recommend!”

“Vania was so sweet with our 8 mo old puppies! We felt at ease during our travels. She took them on long walks and even gave them a bath since the days were quite warm. Thank you again Vania!”

“Courtney is wonderful! We have very anxious dogs and she did an amazing job giving them individual care to ensure they were comfortable, safe and cared for while we were out of town. She is highly communicative and thoughtful. Would definitely book again!”

“Natasha did drop in visits for my 2 skittish cats. She was prompt in replying to my inquiry. She followed the care instructions for the kitties. I will use her services again.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover and pet owner my entire life! I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals, including chickens, goats, cats, and dogs, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I also had the rewarding experience of raising a guide dog, which taught me responsibility, patience, and how to work with dogs in training. I’m comfortable administering medications to both dogs and cats and am committed to providing attentive, reliable care so your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m currently home from college for the summer so I am available all day for stays and visits. I have a car so I am able to get to your pet whenever you need! I am a very interactive and engaged pet sitter who believes pets are more than just animals, they’re cherished members of the family. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your pet is receiving the same love, attention, and care that they get from you. I tailor my care to each pet’s personality and needs, whether that means playing fetch, going on walks, grooming, providing enrichment and playtime, or simply keeping them company and giving them plenty of affection. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring and capable hands.

“Angelique is the BEST!!! I have an elderly 14 year old Pitmix with high dietary supplement and high care needs. My character-judgung do g took to ger instantly with her loving animal vibe. She was loving, patient and took pics with sweet notes to settle any of my anxiousness about leaving her. She also took amazing care of my shy cat and my mouse. About: I love taking care of dogs and have enjoyed walking and feeding my family and friends' dogs for several years. They bring me so much joy! Due to my frequent travel for work, I'm unable to have a dog of my own at the moment. I work from home, so your dog and I can keep each other company, take breaks together, and enjoy walks during my lunch breaks. I live in a secure, dog-friendly condo building. While I don't have a backyard, your dog will be very safe and well cared for. Here's a good answer to that question: Pet care is a rewarding part of my daily and weekly routine. I make sure to carve out time each day to engage with the pets I care for, whether it's through walks, playtime, or simple companionship. Since I work from home, I can easily integrate pet care into my schedule, taking breaks to ensure the pet is comfortable, fed, and entertained. I also ensure the pet gets regular outdoor walks, play sessions, and any special attention they need. Whether it's during my lunch breaks or after work, pet care is a priority, and it brings me a lot of joy! I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment when caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. In my home, I ensure the space is secure and pet-friendly, with no hazards or areas where a pet could get into trouble. I keep the environment calm and peaceful, offering a cozy space where pets can relax. I also maintain a consistent routine for feeding, play, and walks to help pets feel safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client's home, I make sure to follow their routine and respect their preferences for care. I always communicate with pet owners about any specific instructions or needs their pet might have. I make sure to secure any doors, gates, and windows and create a safe, welcoming space for their pet to enjoy while they’re away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Moraga
I recently had the pleasure of having Audrey as our pet sitter for our two dogs, Sparta and Colt, and I can't recommend her enough! From the very start, Audrey's professionalism shone through in her communication. She was always prompt and thorough in her responses, making us feel at ease about leaving our pets in her care. During the pet sitting, Audrey took exceptional care of our home and, more importantly, our dogs. Knowing that both Sparta and Colt experience separation anxiety, she went above and beyond to ensure they were comfortable and happy. Audrey kept us updated regularly, sharing photos and messages that allowed us to truly enjoy our time away. We felt completely confident that our dogs were in the best hands. If you're looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, I highly recommend Audrey.
Kit was an excellent cat sitter. I have 2 cats with various medical needs and Kit was comfortable with giving my cat his inhaler, plus liquid medicine for both cats as well as carrying out complicated feeding routines. She was able to deal with my very snotty cat, which is no easy task. I would not hesitate to hire kit again!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
