About: I grew up as the daughter of a professional dog trainer—my mother—and have carried on her love for all animals. I was taught how to handle reactive, nervous dogs with calm gentle confidence, keep high-energy dogs busy with engaging activities, and give mindful care of dogs that have any special needs. Dogs have been a part of my life since birth, including my 15 year old boy Chunk that is so disarming, he makes an excellent companion for even the most nervous dogs. I’ve gained a broad amount of experience as the go-to enthusiastic dog sitter for all my friends and family’s pets. I would love share a warm, welcoming home with your pet where nightly snuggles on the couch are the norm. I work from home so I can be as available as your dog needs. My partner also is home for most of the day, and only works in the evenings so one of us is almost always home. We live surrounded by trails and parks so your dog will have ample adventures during their stay. Every dog will be treated with the same love and care as if they were our own. We have a large fenced yard that they are free to roam, and a cozy home with dog beds everywhere. We allow dogs on couch and bed, though I can maintain any rules you have in your home for consistency. We do also have a cat so we cannot accept any dogs that are in any way aggressive towards cats or small critters.

About: I've been taking care of pups and kitties since I was about 8 yrs old! I've learned how to identify triggers and/or warning signs with this experience. Hello ☺️ I just moved to the Bay Area and I'm a pawrent to one pup and two kitties! I just got my degree in Video Production/Film and will be freelancing when I can, which means my schedule is very open!! My current availability for drop-in visits and pup walking is Monday- Sunday 6am-10pm, unless it's a blocked out date. I would prefer to have a meet & greet before any booking. This helps me understand how to properly care for each pet. I always want to make sure that each furry friend, fur parent, and myself feels comfortable before hand. Whenever I drop in to visit, I make sure to do what ever is asked in regards to caring for your furry babies! Potty breaks. Making sure they are fed. Cuddle sessions! And of course making sure that I leave everything how it was before I arrived.

“Stephanie is amazing is honestly the best way to put it. From the communication before even meeting our girls to the actual meet-and-greet itself, she exceeded every expectation we had. Having reactive, anxious dogs can be emotional, and honestly really hard when it comes to finding the right sitter. Stephanie didn’t just handle that well, she handled it with an incredible level of calmness, patience, confidence, and intuition. She asked thoughtful questions, followed our meeting protocol perfectly, and met the girls exactly where they were emotionally. She approached everything calmly and confidently, and our dogs responded to that almost immediately. By the end of the visit, our dog who normally takes a long time before allowing touch was ready to give Stephanie kisses. Our other anxious pup was already listening to cues and happily doing tricks for treats. I genuinely feel so lucky we found her. You can tell this isn’t just a job for Stephanie. About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.

I finally decided to share myself - It takes a village and animals should be shared and socialized. My dog is my shadow and he does well with a companion.
