She also noticed the old kitty was losing appetite and flagged it so we can change up his diet in the middle of the booking. We really appreciate the attentive care. We also have another very shy female cat in the house, and Kai was able to approach her on day three!!! It was extremely special.”

About: I am compassionate about dogs and truly want them to enjoy themselves in my home. As an animal shelter volunteer at OAS, I am particularly experienced in helping shy dogs relax! I WFH from Monday to Friday, so I provide breakfast and a AM walk just before I start my work day. During the work day, I provide potty breaks in my private, fully fenced yard. After work, I can provide a PM walk, dinner, and evening cuddles! Your pup will have my 15lb dog as a buddy during the day. I WFH for 5 days a week, and my husband WFH for 2 days a week. The dogs have access to a fully fenced private backyard to play and sunbathe.

About: For two years, I spent over 350 hours volunteering with dogs at the SF SPCA, taking all available dog training courses and earning certifications to work with puppies and dogs of all behavioral levels. I also served as a dog “matchmaker” where I helped clients find their perfect companion. My soft spot has always been for the nervous, shy dogs. I love seeing how time, space, and gentleness can open them up. It was incredible to watch them blossom over a few socialization visits and walks, and even more rewarding to help them find a home that would suit them, and their owners, best. I’ve had dogs myself over the years and am a frequent dog and cat sitter for many of my friends with pets. While my volunteer experience has been dog-focused, I'm equally comfortable with cats (have taken care of a house that had 15!) and have cared for more exotic pets too, including a parrot, hedgehog, and ferrets! I'm available for home visits/care for all animals and currently walks up to a mile. Additionally, I have a quiet, pet-friendly home and am able to board on a case by case basis for dogs I've worked with previously. I have experience working with dogs with different behavioral challenges (e.g. leash pulling, on and off leash aggression, very shy, anxious, etc.). Each dog is different, and I’m highly adept at reading cues and adapting based on their needs, as well as taking direction from owners. I'm used to multiple-pet households, complex feeding schedules, and administering medications. If your pet has specific needs I haven't addressed, send me a note! I want your pet to feel like I'm the next best thing to having you there and want to mimic their usual schedule and routine wherever possible. I’m a potter and am able to make my own schedule, so can accommodate you and your pet’s needs. If they have a favorite park, I'll plan our walks to go there. If they often get treats from a neighborhood shop, I'll include that route in our walk. For visits/walks I'll share a photo and update so you have peace of mind - I'll let you know when I arrive, and when I leave. And if there's anything out of the ordinary, I'll bring it to your attention. I want you to have absolute trust that your pet is getting the best care possible and that I'm looking out for them as if they were my own. I also want them to have the best time and to get excited the next time I see them! As a potter, I set my own hours and have flexibility throughout the day. I can accommodate morning, midday, or afternoon visits and walks, and am generally available for last-minute bookings. For every visit or walk, I'll send a photo and update - letting you know when I arrive, when I leave, and flagging anything out of the ordinary. For boarding, I have a quiet, pet-friendly home and only take dogs I've worked with previously to ensure a good fit. I'm experienced reading behavioral cues and adapting to each dog's needs, and I'll always follow your routines, feeding schedules, and any medical requirements closely.

John is so thoughtful too, bright a package in for us on the last trip, and Bob is always fed and has plenty of water when we return. About: I grew up with dogs in the family my entire life, and can’t imagine going day to day without a fur-baby around! I’ve been dog sitting family and friends’ dogs for most of my life. They tend to leave my care happy, well-loved, and sometimes even knowing a new trick! I’ve cared for dogs from puppies to seniors, and I have experience caring for seniors with special needs as well. My priority is to make your dog feel loved and safe, and for them to have a great time! My partner, Marco, and I have two dogs of our own: Sonnet & Lyric. Sonnet is a small curly fluff with a big personality. She loves birds, fetch, and reserving some “me time” when she wants a good nap. I trained her as a puppy (basics and tricks). Lyric is a diva who loves playtime, anything edible, and cozy spots to nestle into. Your pup will have a fun and stimulating stay here! We have a good amount of space in our house, a small enclosed outdoor deck, and a fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to run and play! There are great neighborhood walks in the area, a fully fenced backyard to play in, and a toy basket filled with goodies. I’m also happy to practice training with your pup while they’re here if you’d like - just let me know! I work remotely most weekdays, so I’m home and available to hang out and play with your dog. On weekends I am fully available all day! We have a fully fenced backyard, as well as plenty of other cozy spots in the house for your pup to relax. We allow dogs on furniture (but can discourage that with your dog if you’d prefer). We have plenty of room for your dog’s crate, bed, and/or favorite toy(s).

During walks, I prioritize safety first by using secure leashes, following your preferred routes, and adjusting pace and distance to your dog’s age, energy level, and comfort. Walks include positive reinforcement, sniff time, and plenty of attention. For drop-in visits, I make sure your pet is comfortable and cared for by providing fresh food and water, potty breaks, playtime, medication if needed, and lots of affection. I respect your home, follow all instructions carefully, and always leave things tidy. I provide regular updates with notes and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. About: We are HUGE dog fans and life-long dog owners, but soon after our dog babies passed away I got pregnant with twins and now we spend too much time traveling to get another full time doggie. Thank goodness for Rover!!! This is the PERFECT alternative! I walk 10K+ steps/day (every morning, afternoon, & eve) and go to Ohlone Dog Park almost daily. We have a HUGE fenced-in back yard and we leave the back doors open for doggies to explore our beautiful garden and comfy home as they please. We live on a super quiet street a few blocks from the Ohlone dog parks and a nice walk to the outdoor beer garden and outdoor cafes. I’ll send you photos and videos several times a day unless you tell me not to. The four of us will fight over who gets to sleep with your dog, and we’ll cuddle and play with him/her more than 99% of the dog-loving population. We are also happy to help with training and give your doggy a nice bubble bath or spray down and brushing with the garden hose. Trust me, we’re all about the doggies. The one thing is we don’t want doggies who will bark incessantly because we love our neighbors :). Hi there! My husband and I and our twin 11-year-old twins are HUMONGOUS dog fans. No written bio could do justice. Between us, we have more than 90 years of dog ownership and doggy care experience - we consider ourselves the luckiest family in the world because we get to spend hours on end every day snuggling their fluff, rolling with them around on the floor, playing ball and hide and go seek chasing them in the garden, singing improvised operas to them in “their” voices, calling them ridiculous names without them caring, giving them spa treatments, taking them to the beach or on a trail hikes with a friend, and fighting over who gets to sleep with them each night. Plus they force me to get outside and exercise and connect with my neighbors… honestly, I don’t get why everyone doesn’t do this. We travel a lot in the summer and we go skiing a lot in the winter so we decided not to get our own dog because this is such an excellent alternative! I run and/or walk every morning, afternoon, and evening. On occasion, when have a dentist appointment or something, my husband, Ed, takes the doggies with him during the day on adventures or just to work (he works for himself). We also have a wall of glass doors that lead into our spacious fenced in garden. We rarely close the glass doors completely, so the doggies just saunter in and out as they wish. I spend a lot of time in the garden weeding, watering, lounging on the outdoor couches with a doggie or two curled in my lap as I chat on the phone. We are also able to supervise your pup(s) 24x7 and provide transportation to a vet in case of a pup-mergency.
