“One word: AWESOME! Vivian was an amazing caretaker not only for our cat Luna, but for our backyard chickens too! Each visit we received a bunch of photos of both Luna and our chickens and Vi also came over before our scheduled visit to go over all our instructions. Would DEFINITELY book again!”

“Super thorough with our kitties, I really liked how she wanted to meet them first before dropping in while we were gone. Her updates were detailed, you can tell she puts effort and care into the drop ins and it made me feel better about being away from the kitties.”

“Cassandra has been a fantastic sitter. She goes above and beyond to make sure my new puppy is well cared for (and handled many logistical mishaps on my part with grace). She is very communicative and will also ask for more direction beyond what's listed on my profile. I will happily be a repeat client.”

About: I grew up in a "zoo" and currently have 2 dogs, 2 cats, foster kittens, and 4 birds. I started volunteering with the Berkeley Animal Shelter when I was in elementary school, and worked with cats of all temperaments and have been fostering kittens since 2017. With my family I have fostered over 100 kittens. I have been cat-sitting for the last 7 years. As part of volunteering at the animal shelter, I also worked with dogs of all sizes and ages, and have done some dog-sitting as well. Until mid-August my schedule is very open and flexible. I am home most of the day and have time to spend with pets and taking care of their needs. I treat every pet I take care of as if they were my own. I am very diligent with the pets health and if anything seems off I immediately send photos and contact the owners. My pet care is in other peoples homes.
About: I’ve taken care of several dogs and cats throughout the years. I love showering them w/ the play and food they need. Excited to help! I’m currently working full time! I can support with some walks on the weekdays and weekends. Pet sitting varies with my schedule, but I’m open to it! I make sure the area is safe and clean. Everything is put away, so the environment is great for dogs and cats to relax and play in the area.

“Rong is fantastic! She’s taken care of my kitty a couple of times now and always does a great job. She’s been super accommodating to last minute schedule changes, and is always kind and thorough. My cat loves her and I feel so much better leaving knowing Rong is watching her!”

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs—my grandparents bred and showed Great Pyrenees, so a love for them has always been part of my life. I was also the neighborhood “cat kid,” caring for strays, feeding them, and helping find them homes. As an adult, I’ve continued to welcome cats into my life, and I’ve also had the joy of raising a Border Collie, who I still miss dearly. Spending time with animals—whether it’s a walk, some playtime, or quiet companionship—is something I truly love. I have quite a bit of flexibility within my schedule. I am fully open Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Early mornings Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And anytime in the evenings, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. I live in an apartment with my three teen children, so boarding is best suited for small to medium dogs that are comfortable in cozy spaces—or cats who enjoy lots of attention and companionship. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and privacy. My focus is always on making your pet feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: My parents have rescued 12 dogs over the last 20 years, many seniors, and I have loved all their unique personalities. Growing up around dogs my whole life, I have developed skills around cleaning and care as well as reading body language. I have helped in the care of senior dogs that needed extra care and cleaning. As a kid I volunteered a few times at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary out in Utah with dogs and other animals. Through these experiences I have developed a sense of animal behavior and the necessary skills for stewardship of dogs. I’m currently on summer break from college. I have quite a flexible schedule. I am available most days this summer for dog walking, drop-ins, and house sitting. I am very meticulous with instructions care and will take the time to build trust with your dog to ensure they feel comfortable with me.

Berkeley pet parents share their Rover experiences
We are out-of-towners spending our summer in the Bay Area, so we hardly know anyone around here. This is why we are so grateful to have found William. He is an absolute cat dad and it was obvious he knows how to care for our babies. We will be repeat clients for sure.

Lauren is so sweet, communicative and detailed oriented. I originally scheduled 5 days but had to schedule one more drop-in visit day at the last minute. She was able to accommodate right away! I trust her with my timid guinea pigs. 1000/10, highly recommend ☺️

Amber has been a loving care giver to my sweet cat, Noodle. It is so nice to know he is being well cared for while I’m away. I also appreciate her flexibility. This last trip I had to stay a few extra days and she made it easy for me to make that decision knowing Noodle was in good hands.

Cassandra was so great!! She was so kind with Walter, and sent me photos of how it went with him. It was also so easy to coordinate with her over text on how to get into my apartment (with a code) and on how to administer Walter's medication (oral and pill). I can't recommend more!!

Kristy was wonderful! She was very quick and responsive to helping me with my nine month old lil kitten, especially at a short notice for an unexpected work trip. She was also flexible to meet me in person beforehand to go over how to enter my place & Canela’s schedule. Kristy provided consistent photos and check-ins and kept Canela’s litter box nice and clean ✨ I would recommend Kristy and would definitely rebook whenever I’m out of town, and you should to ☺️

Laurena has watched our pets a couple of times now and we're so happy to have found her. We didn't have to worry a bit about our kitties while we were away. We received updates and photos regularly and the house was in great condition when we got back. Thanks again Laurena!

I had a wonderful experience with Amelia, who took care of my cat for three weeks! She is incredibly attentive and patient. When she first arrived, my cat was very scared and hid away. However, Amelia didn't rush things at all. With her gentle approach and great patience, my cat slowly warmed up to her, and they eventually started interacting and playing together. Having her around for three weeks gave me total peace of mind, knowing my shy cat was in such loving and reliable hands. I am so glad I found Amelia on Rover, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional long-term or short-term pet sitter! Thank you so much Amelia ❤️

Aleja is an amazing pet sitter! Barnaby loves her - she is super responsive and keeps me posted about how he’s doing. She often goes beyond what is required of her to make sure he is comfortable. For example - she cut his nails for him though I never asked her to. She also builds a connection and is really well suited to care for pets! Could not recommend her enough.
