“Christine was incredibly easy to communicate with, professional, and showed wonderful care for my dog Manchi! She navigated her anxiety and quirks so well, took her on a bunch of walks, and even gave me a polaroid of her holding a show, her favorite thing to do 😊”

“Hope is great with nervous dogs and makes them feel comfortable and loved. We booked her last minute for a week long trip caused by a family emergency, and it was so nice to not have to worry about our pup. Hope is very communicative and sends lots of pics and videos. Great sitter!”

“5 stars for our experience with Mariola. She’s super communicative, so friendly and warm, and I know made it feel like a 2nd home for our dog! She offered helpful tips after observing his behavior for a few days. Her updates brought me so much joy each day. If we go away for an extended vacation again, I know exactly who to bring him to!”

“Danielle and Joel were great with our pup, Izzi. They took plenty of pictures, made sure he exercised daily and gave him plenty of love and cuddles. We would definitely recommend them and would book them again.”

“Sherry went above and beyond to take care of Molly during her stay, including taking her to vet (which was quite a drive away) when her vet here in Berkeley was unable to see her immediately. She clearly loves animals and will do her best to care for them like her own pet during their stay. Five stars for her extra time and care to ensure the best care for our girl!”

“I can tell Sybil had a great time because when it was time to go she curled up in Maria's lap and didn't want to leave 😅. Maria clearly has a way with dogs and my pup had a great time playing with her son as well. Thanks Maria!”

“Ning cared so thoughtfully for my puppy, who needed overnight care while I was moving. Even though my puppy’s second overnight ever and first time with Ning, she was more relaxed. I could tell she was tired but not overstimulated. Ning also was communicative about some specific concerns I had with my puppy’s health/behavior and was attentive to keeping a routine for my puppy in the midst of so many changes. Thank you so much, Ning, I’m so grateful!”

“I had a very positive experience with Chen boarding my pup Bernie for a few days. Bernie is a well behaved dog, but he has a few needs that Chen took on willingly. He also took the time to meet with me and Bernie ahead to make sure all his needs were understood. It is clear to me that Chen loves pets and treats them with care. He sent me many updates reflecting his attention to Bernie's comfort and sense of feeling at home and with family. He also sent many stellar photos. Chen has a real talent there and I think also shows his adoration of the pets he cares for. Chen and his family were kind and warm to me and to Bernie and I reccomend him for you.”

“Luffy really has a great time with Kianna and her family. He gets lots of love from her children and I love seeing all the photo updates! As always, thank you for taking such good care of luffy.”

“Madeleine was amazing with my senior dog. She has a calm, sweet energy, and she knew how to make him feel comfortable and safe right away. I appreciated getting updates while I was away, and Madeleine was very understanding and flexible around pickup. Total pro, Diller and look forward to future visits with Madeleine!”
“We were so thankful for Ms. Shatese for accepting our last minute need after two sitters canceled last minute. She is a beautiful spirit who consistently kept us updated based on a schedule she had originally provided which allowed us to be at true ease while away from our pup. Her little one, Prince, is the most handsome ever. Was very grateful for all updates and adjustments”

“Marlene was wonderful! She was very responsive, kind, and reliable. We met before, so she could be introduced to and ask questions about Birdy. She has a great home environment, and I definitely felt like my pup was in great hands. I would be more than happy to work with Marlene again (as would Birdy!)”

“Angela was wonderful dog sitting my pup for a long weekend! She was quick to respond, happy to have an initial meet and greet and sent me tons of updates during his stay. My dog was well cared for and I’d be happy to use Angela again”

“Mary was incredibly communicative, attentive, and loving with our senior pup. Our dog came back in such a happy mood - I can really tell he had a wonderful time with her. Would recommend Mary to anyone and would definitely book with her again!”

“Alex kept my golden retriever for a week and left me feeling GREAT about the boarding. From the daily pix & videos, it seemed that Alex integrated Mika into her family life completely, even having her at their backyard easter egg hunt! Mika got lots of play time & tons of petting, played with her daughters at the playground across the street, and did her napping right under Alex's feet when she was working. Such a great feeling to know your dog is well cared for when away. Thanks so much Alex!”

About: I've had cats for 18 years and often cat sit for friends. I love playing with the cats and giving them lots of cuddles. I'm also happy to just let the cat be if they're on the shyer side. Excited to meet your cat!

“Natalie was a great cat sitter for my 16 year old hairless cat. She was thoughtful, reliable, punctual, and followed instructions perfectly. The photos of him licking his chops or emerging from his blankets were so cute! Thank you so much Natalie! I plan to call you again.”

“Alix was a great sitter for our two cats! I could tell when I got home they were happy, not out of their element, and had been given lots of love while we were gone! Alix also had great communication and kept us updated the whole time we were gone! Thank you!😸”

“Milo and I loved having Rong as a sitter! She's warm, responsible and clearly cares about connecting with animals. We had a lovely time talking during our walk through and she sent wonderful photos of kitty while I was away. Our home was spotless and well cared for upon return. I'd love to have her back soon!”

“Jasmine did a great job dropping in on my cat, Chili for 5 nights. She was very communicative and attentive to my cat, giving playtime, feeding, and taking care of the litterbox. I will happily request her for future drop ins!”

About: I used to chronically cat sit in high school for neighbors who were gone about half the year and have since done so for friends for up to a month at a time. I love quirky cats who find their way into one drawer and pop back out of a different one. I also love to play with toys and pet them (when they’re up for it) but am patient with cats who need more time to open up as well. One thing I haven’t had to do is force a cat into a crate or give meds, so a cat with more serious vet care needs may not be the best fit to my experience
“Crystal did such an amazing job with my kitty. He's shy and fearful of new people but Crystal respected his boundaries and gained his trust and by her last visit he was asking for pets and attention. She really went above and beyond!”

“Really grateful to Tammy for checking in with our cats while we were away! Great communication, notes, and pictures. You can tell Tammy is a real cat person and we felt very happy that our cats were in good hands!”

About: I am a long time caregiver for human adults with disabilities and animals in the bay area. I am reliable, attentive and adaptive to the needs of animals and people in my care. I am comfortable caring for pets in need of extra hygiene or medical/wound care. I am a foster through Berkeley humane. I provide doggy day care for people in my social network. I have raised a few batches of kittens. I will treat your pet as if they were my own. My counterpart and dog, Milkshake, is a great host and adapts well to the personality and boundaries of visiting pups. He is also great at bringing out visiting dogs' playful sides, and your pup will likely return home having been expelled all of their zoomies. I understand how important our pets are to all of us, one thing I love to do while caring for someones pet is to send them multiple photos/videos per day to show what their fur baby is getting up to. I get anxious when I am away from my dog too long and worry about him so I know how it goes, your pet will be well taken care of with me. I am a work from home data engineer working out of my home in peaceful North Berkeley. My workday schedule is very flexible with ample opportunity for several short walks around the neighborhood throughout the day. I live in a 6 bedroom home in North Berkeley, an established grouphouse with 4 other folks in their late 20s. We have a peaceful, fun and stress free home. I have a fenced front hard with enough room for zoomies and easy access for potty breaks. I have a large sunny back deck for dog sunbathing. I also have a working fireplace for warming up the paws during the cold/rainy season. My housemates are great with animals and provide additional attention, pets and socialization (2 work from home, 2 work out of the home).

“Sheryl did such a great job taking care of our cats while we were out of town. We got lots of pictures and videos and she brought her own cats toys to give them something new to be entertained by. Would definitely recommend and book again :)”

“One word: AWESOME! Vivian was an amazing caretaker not only for our cat Luna, but for our backyard chickens too! Each visit we received a bunch of photos of both Luna and our chickens and Vi also came over before our scheduled visit to go over all our instructions. Would DEFINITELY book again!”

“Ana is a great cat-sitter! I've hired her a couple times to check in on my cat and hang out with him. She seemed to connect with him quickly, and I feel that he is safe in her care. She's also a great communicator and follows instructions well. I will definitely be asking her to care for Benji again in the future!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Berkeley
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.
About: Hi! I’m Ning, an experienced dog owner and lifelong animal lover based in Berkeley. I currently have a sweet, friendly 1-year-old Australian Shepherd and have raised both a Samoyed and an Aussie from puppyhood. Through daily training, socialization, exercise, grooming, and routine care, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience with energetic working breeds and understand the importance of both physical activity and mental enrichment. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and structured environment where dogs can feel relaxed and at home while their owners are away. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, energy level, eating habits, and emotional well-being, and I tailor my care to their individual needs. Your dog will stay in a clean and spacious pet-friendly apartment with access to a secure fenced courtyard. We are also only a 5-minute walk from a large open green space, allowing for regular walks, outdoor time, and supervised play. For social dogs, my friendly Aussie can be a wonderful companion during their stay. I work hard to make every boarding experience stress-free and enjoyable. Dogs receive plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and companionship throughout the day, and I do not leave pets alone for extended periods whenever possible. I also provide regular photo and video updates so you can stay connected and have peace of mind while you’re away. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to provide not just boarding, but a safe and caring second home where they can feel happy, comfortable, and loved. I work from home most days and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide frequent supervision, companionship, and exercise throughout the day. Pet care is already a central part of my daily routine, as I currently care for my own young Australian Shepherd, with my current walking schedule: four times a day (~6 hours interval). Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a clean, spacious, pet-friendly apartment with a secure fenced courtyard and easy access to a large green space just a 5-minute walk away. I currently have a friendly, well-socialized 1-year-old Australian Shepherd who enjoys meeting other dogs. I carefully monitor all interactions, follow owners’ instructions closely, and maintain a calm, structured environment. I have experience raising both a Samoyed and an Australian Shepherd from puppyhood, so I understand the importance of supervision, routine, exercise, and positive reinforcement. I provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident that your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I've taken care of many dogs from chihuahua's, poodle mixes, corgi's and pointers. I have the most experience with small dogs but would love to take care of your large pups too! I have experience caring for and feeding medication to senior dogs from Muttville in San Francisco and lived and cared for a very anxious corgi for two years so have a lot of experience navigating and understanding when a dog needs space. I cannot wait to meet your pup! I'm starting grad school in late august so have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available weekdays and weekends for now and will update my schedule once school is back in session. I have a small fenced in yard if the pup needs a quiet enclosed area to play in. I have experience crating anxious corgis and giving medication and am willing to follow any rules you have to ensure good training and safety for your dog. Ultimately, I just want you and your pet to be comfortable!

“Very impressed with Hong! We had a last-minute change of plans and needed a sitter for our girl Spoon, and Hong was absolutely amazing. She cared for Spoon like she was her own, which gave us so much peace of mind. She’s incredibly thorough and keeps us updated throughout the day—even down to every bowel movement—which we really appreciated. We’re so grateful to have found her and will definitely keep booking with her. Highly recommend! 🤍”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every animal. Friends and family have trusted me for years to care for their pets, and I treat each one as if they were my own. That experience strengthened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced my passion for providing safe, loving care. Whether your pet needs playtime, companionship, or a calm and attentive sitter, I'm committed to making them feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I currently work from home and live by myself, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. My schedule allows me to accommodate your pet's routine, whether that's walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply keeping them company. I'm happy to work with you to make sure your pet receives the care and attention they're used to while you're away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and at home. I live in a secure apartment and have access to a very walkable neighborhood, making it easy to provide regular potty breaks, walks, and exercise throughout the day. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or yours, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and personalized care while you're away.

“Mariola was an awesome sitter! She was very responsive to our puppy, Pao Pao's, needs and went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. If you're looking for a responsible and loving sitter, Mariola is the one!”

“Yassine (and his wife!) we’re absolutely amazing. They were so welcoming and really made us feel comfortable dropping our 6 month old puppy off for the day. He was so excited to be able to hang out in the backyard all day. And they were really accommodating given the special needs that our pup has. AND due to some unforeseen circumstances, we ended up being 2+ hours late to pick up our dog and they were really understanding about it, which made us feel a touch better about the huge mess we found ourselves in! Highly recommend!!!”

“Danielle is wonderful! Very responsive and communicative. I have a shy pup, and she understood exactly how to navigate her needs. I will definitely be utilizing Danielle's care in the future!”

About: I’ve cared for everything from pee smelling puppies to powdered mouthed seniors and loved every moment of it. I’ve babysat puppies for my sister and extended family, so I understand that they need frequent bathroom breaks, lots of patience, and constant supervision. When it comes to senior dogs, I’ve looked after large breeds with autoimmune disease and hip dysplasia. I’m experienced in administering medication to dogs of all ages and know the tricks to make pill time easy. I have walked small dogs to big dogs and also reactive dogs, I have no issue taking dogs out for frequent potty breaks or long walks. I’ve cleaned ears and teeth, bathed, dried, and brushed dogs of all coat types from shedding huskies to curly coated poodles. And yes I have absolutely no issue cleaning up poop or pee. If they gotta go, they gotta go! I’m currently a junior at NYU studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. This semester, I’ve intentionally lightened my course load to make more time for pet care something I genuinely enjoy. I’m available Mondays and Wednesdays after 11:00 AM, Fridays after 4:00 PM, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. During home stays, I’m great at multitasking while still being fully attentive to your furbaby’s needs. Whether it’s playtime, potty breaks, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent and stress free as possible. I make sure to follow any specific instructions carefully whether it’s feeding schedules, potty breaks, medication, or playtime preferences. I’m very respectful of the home, always keeping things clean and organized, and making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I provide a calm, loving space with plenty of attention, walks, and stimulation tailored to their needs. I’m mindful of any anxiety they may feel in a new place and take the time to help them settle in gently. I keep a close eye on their behavior, make sure they’re eating and drinking regularly, and maintain a clean, cozy environment litter boxes, bedding, toys, and food bowls are always fresh and tidy. No matter the location, my top priority is always making your pet feel happy, secure, and loved while you're away.

“Chen Z. was amazing with my dog. He’s very easy to communicate with, very accommodating to different schedules, takes lots of beautiful pictures and videos, and sends frequent updates. Most importantly my dog was always so excited to see him. Would 100% recommend and book again.”

About: I’ve had pets all my life and I just wanted to find a way to give back to owners . I’m very personable and I’m definitely really good with connecting with dogs. I’m currently taking classes, but my schedule is very flexible and I have plenty of time for pet care throughout the day. I can easily adjust around walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays depending on your pet’s needs. Most of my classes are either online or scheduled in a way that leaves mornings, afternoons, and evenings open. I’m reliable, responsive, and always make sure your pet’s routine comes first. I would spend pretty much all my time with your pet. If I’m watching a movie he’ll be next to me and I care alot about connecting with the animals. I’ll also make to keep your pets health as my number one priority.
“Hope is a wonderful dog sitter. She follow all my instruction to take care my dog. She even sent me photos to see hows she’s doing. She even took her a long walk. She got along with my dog”

“Claudio was amazing with Xico. Xico does not always get along with other dogs, but Claudio has the ability to ease any tension or fear Xico may feel around new dogs. Claudio went above and beyond to make Xico feel at home. They even went to Alameda beach! I know Xico felt safe and happy due to Claudio’s warm energy. I’m so happy Xico could socialize and have fun this week!”

“Erika was absolutely lovely and we will definitely be walking with her again soon- and you should too! We really appreciate her accommodating our kooky training games as well as my rather last minute walk request. Our boy is happily napping now, very fulfilled by his walk thanks to Erika. She got a really, really, REALLY wonderful picture of our dog too. Thank you Erika! 🐾❤️”

“Samantha did such a great job with both our senior large dog and our small puppy. She walked them and fed them and followed all of our instructions. She was also very flexible as my schedule changed and was happy to accommodate our changes. I would definitely book her dog walking services again!”

“Kayla was amazing. She came through in a pinch when I was too under the weather to walk my pup. She was very easygoing. She tired my dog out, which was exactly the goal. Thank you.”

About: I have experience taking care of dogs for over 10+ years. I have had pets my whole life and I have taken care of family members pets before due to them leaving for emergency or vacation. Walking and playing with the dogs is my favorite part. I have pets of my own that I tend to. 3 cats and one small chihuahua. She is only a year old and I love them so much. They are very playful and love to cuddle. The way I would care for pets in a client's home is the way I would care for my own pets with given instructions on medication, routine, special dietary restrictions and of course. A list of required tasks to complete with the dog/cat while taking care of them.
“Awesome walker, very communicative, took great care of our pup, and was really flexible when we needed to make a last minute change. Would highly recommend Swami to other folks.”

About: I had a German Shepherd growing up. I felt very close to him. I currently don’t own a dog, but I’d love to own one someday. I often get to see and spend time with my sister’s dog who I love so much, and I always look forward to seeing him. I believe that I’ll be a great dog sitter. I currently don’t have any other job, so I’ll have plenty of time to look after people’s dogs. I’ll make great use of my days caring for people’s dogs. I’ll care for people’s dogs in their homes by feeding, playing with them, and taking them out for walks. I’ll be great company for the dogs.

“We are so lucky to have Terence in our lives! He is committed, communicative, and all around excellent with my large and reactive dog. I have worked with several dog walkers and truly no one compares to Terence. Wish I could give 10/5 stars!”
About: Hi, I’m Anny! Welcome to my page—I’m so glad you’re here! 🤗 I’ve had animals my whole life and truly believe they are family. As a Rover sitter for many years now and a lifelong pet lover, I really enjoy getting to know furbabies of all sizes and temperaments! ❤️ I focus on being a kind and consistent presence for your pet, making sure to reinforce your specific training style so they can stay in their familiar patterns while you’re away. Being a devoted owner of a large white German Shepherd, two senior cats, and a tripod kitten, I’m very comfortable with the "extremes" of pet care—from the energy needed for big breeds to the gentle, patient and specialized attention required for sweet, serene seniors. Currently a new grad at Cal, I treat my house-sits with a lot of dedication and care. ☺︎ A big bonus of booking with me is that I live with my sister and partner (also Cal students/alums and huge animal lovers!), so there is often an extra set of hands for play and an extra pair of eyes to ensure your furbaby almost always has company. We work together to keep our availability super reliable for recurring or last-minute needs—it’s actually been so fun watching several of our regulars grow up with us over the last 4+ years! Your pet's safety and your home's security are my absolute priorities. I love finding out about each pet's unique personality and even the "mischief" they like to get into so I can support them best. I also have an SUV with a dog seat extender, so I’m all set for safe trips to the park or vet visits if needed. I love taking photos of all the babies I care for, so you can expect your updates to be filled with the sweet, silly moments that happen while you're away. My goal is to make your furbaby feel completely secure and your time away totally worry-free! I can't wait to meet your little one. As a recent new grad at UC Berkeley working near campus, my life is very centered around a consistent and predictable routine. This allows me to provide a steady, reliable presence in your home. If I ever need to be away for more than a couple hours, my sister or partner are often available to step in so your furbaby almost always has company and attention! This team-based approach ensures that your pet’s schedule remains uninterrupted. Every booking helps support our college education, and we are so grateful for the families who trust us with their beloved pets. While I primarily focus on house-sitting so your pet stays in the comfort of their own home, I now also open my space to select boarding guests. My apartment near campus is cozy but thoughtfully set up — and because my own dog Xiaobai is part of the household, I'm able to welcome small to small-medium dogs (under 40 lbs) who are crate trained, easy-going around other dogs, and on the quieter side out of respect for my neighbors. Cats are also welcome as long as they're not prone to furniture scratching or marking. I'm selective about boarding fits not to be exclusive, but because I genuinely want every stay to be low-stress for your pet, my dog, and the home environment. Regardless of whether I'm coming to you or hosting you, my priority is always routine replication — I work closely with you to learn exactly how you interact with your pet so I can keep their atmosphere consistent and stress-free while you're away. Whether it's following specific crate training protocols or maintaining the basic commands you use on walks, I aim to be a seamless extension of your own care. Every home is treated with the utmost respect and every pet's well-being is my absolute priority.
“Danielle is a super dog walker. My two loved her and she loved them right back. She was on time every day and always responsive to the dogs' needs -- and to mine. I would hire her again in a minute.”
About: I am an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying Political Science. I have several years of experience cat and dog sitting for various friends and family members. Most recently, I attended to a family friend's two cats, spending quality time with them each day, feeding them, playing with them, and clearing out their litter boxes. In the past, I have also walked dogs and dog-sitted while owners were on vacation. As a pet owner myself, I enjoy spending time with cats and dogs and am extremely attentive to their needs. Additionally, I have experience following multi-step instructions regarding pet care that are suited to the owners' preferences. I have lots of free time given that my class schedule is going to be light this year. When I'm at school, I don't get to be with my family pet, so I would love to bring cats and dogs into my daily/weekly routine. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always follow the owner's routine as closely as possible. I know that consistency helps pets feel comfortable, so I make sure they receive their meals on schedule, get plenty of fresh water, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of attention and affection. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. If pets are staying in my home, they'll have a clean, safe, and comfortable environment with plenty of supervision. I'll make sure they get exercise, enrichment, and a calm place to rest, while monitoring them closely for any changes in behavior or health. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and loved while their family is away.

“Luffy really has a great time with Kianna and her family. He gets lots of love from her children and I love seeing all the photo updates! As always, thank you for taking such good care of luffy.”

“Angela was wonderful dog sitting my pup for a long weekend! She was quick to respond, happy to have an initial meet and greet and sent me tons of updates during his stay. My dog was well cared for and I’d be happy to use Angela again”

“Our pup had a great time with this loving family! Maria is very communicative and sent updates throughout the stay, and the girls are so sweet and gentle with our dog! I’m sure she’ll be excited to see them again!”
“Danielle was great with Otis! He had excellent stay. Lots of pictures, communication, attention to detail and tons of care (walks, snuggles etc). So glad we connected with Danielle. We will def use her again for Otis dog sitting and walking.”

“Yagmur and her partner took excellent care of my special needs dog. The steps up to their apartment were a bit challenging for him, but they managed him beautifully. I am so appreciative of the care that provided to him.”
“Marty was fantastic with our little one! He’s very thoughtful and went above and beyond to bond with our dog and get to know his quirks. It’s very clear that Marty loves dogs and knows how to care for them well, especially how to make them feel comfortable when meeting for the first time. He also messaged updates throughout the stay, which was very much appreciated and gave us a peace of mind while we were away. 5/5 ? would recommend!”

“Yassine was very friendly, responsive, caring, and professional. He sent lots of pictures and kept my dog, Pippa, busy with activities throughout the week. He has a backyard that Pippa enjoyed exploring. I trust Yassine and will definitely use him in the future!”

“Always such a wonderful stay with Megan and Jenny! We only had one visit before this one and our pup pulled me to their door from the car. Receiving pics throughout the day was so reassuring and sweet. Thank you ❤️”
