About: Available for Drop-in, Pet Sitting & walks for your dogs and cats. Experienced with large dogs. I have a +60lb pit/staffy rescue. He has anxiety around other dogs so I am accustomed to managing that in public, working to decrease associated behaviors, and highly cognizant of the space/surrounding I have the dog in. I am also experienced with cats. I have 2 currently from a rehoming/divorce situation a couple years ago. I have open availability Sunday-Wednesday, limited availability Thursday and Friday. Please inquire. With 3+ weeks notice, I can have open availability. I am able to housesit and do drop-ins as well in Oakland and surrounding cities. Caring for your pet is extremely important to me. I understand they are your baby/family and treat them as such. With standard care, I also provide enrichment and basic treating to ensure the best bonding and care.

The day I was set to leave for an international trip, one of my cats got sick and my booked cat sitter bailed, as they were uncomfortable giving medication. With just a few hours left before my departure, I hopped on Rover to try to find someone to help. Christine messaged me back right away, came for a meet and greet that same evening, and jumped right in. She visited my cats twice a day, gave my sick older cat her meds, kept me constantly updated with photos and little anecdotes and went over and above to help out with some other unexpected things that came up. Having someone so engaged and communicative gave me peace of mind that my cats were being well cared for as I was traveling. I'm enormously grateful for Christine's help, and I highly recommend working with her!”

About: Hi everyone, I work in mental/behavioral health and am saving up for graduate school! I am very passionate about animals, especially dogs and cats. I moved to California from the Netherlands a few years ago. I am looking for new pet sitting clients in the East Bay or San Francisco. I can do overnight pet sitting as well as walks or visits during the day. I also live right by Lake Merritt so if you live nearby, I’d love to take your dog on walks around the lake. A full loop around the lake takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes (a little over 3 miles). I can pick up and drop off your dog at your house. I have several years experience in cat sitting as well as several years dog sitting and dog walking (middle-aged Labrador, middle-aged German Shepard mix, and puppy Border Collie). I will start working swing shift in a few weeks so I will be available to pet sit during the morning/early afternoon. I can do overnight pet sitting as well as walks or visits during the day. I can take care of pets at my apartment but I don’t have a backyard so I would take them outside on a leash around the neighborhood or to a park or Lake Merritt.

About: Experience with dogs of all sizes and ages. I grew up with two pitbulls from puppyhood to old age, and I currently have a 10 year old chihuahua mix. I worked full time in animal care for 3 years. I'm currently an in-home healthcare provider for children with special needs, so I am very familiar with the power of kindness, patience, and play for animals and people alike. I typically start my workday around 2 pm, yet I have trouble sleeping in and will be out walking my dog around 7 am. My free time in the mornings allows for walks, training, and snuggles to be part of my daily routine. I am someone who likes having structure to follow and will respect procedures and expectations. Personally, my dog is crate trained and he will make sure that I tuck him in at the correct time every night, and I make sure he doesn't go places where he isn't allowed.

I have years of experience doing walks, play, feeding, bathing, clean-up and more. I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. I have been told on multiple occasions that I am able to calm animals unusually quickly, and I feel that I am attuned to the emotions of animals I care for. I would love to opportunity to provide care to your pet! I work from home in a low-speed position, so I have a flexible schedule for your pets' needs. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing! I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.

About: I've been taking care of pups and kitties since I was about 8 yrs old! I've learned how to identify triggers and/or warning signs with this experience. Hello ☺️ I just moved to the Bay Area and I'm a pawrent to one pup and two kitties! I just got my degree in Video Production/Film and will be freelancing when I can, which means my schedule is very open!! My current availability for drop-in visits and pup walking is Monday- Sunday 6am-10pm, unless it's a blocked out date. I would prefer to have a meet & greet before any booking. This helps me understand how to properly care for each pet. I always want to make sure that each furry friend, fur parent, and myself feels comfortable before hand. Whenever I drop in to visit, I make sure to do what ever is asked in regards to caring for your furry babies! Potty breaks. Making sure they are fed. Cuddle sessions! And of course making sure that I leave everything how it was before I arrived.
