âNicole was great! Juniper seems to love her, and I really appreciated the pictures and updates. They kept this slightly anxious dog parent relaxed :) hope to have Nicole back!â

âQishu was amazing with our high energy dog and extremely communicative with us. We received lots of updates and pictures over all the days we were gone. We would unreservedly recommend Qishu to anyone!â

âWe canât thank Michelle enough for the incredible care she provided to Hampton during our 12 day trip. This was our first extended vacation since Hampton was recently diagnosed with chf, and leaving him was understandably stressful. From our very first meet and greet, Michelle immediately put us at ease with her kindness, confidence, and genuine love for animals. Hampton now requires medication six times a day, and Michelle never hesitated to take on his complex care routine. She made sure he stayed on schedule, kept us updated with thoughtful messages and photos, and treated him like he was her own. Knowing he was in such capable and compassionate hands allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation. We came home to a happy, healthy pup and a spotless home. Michelle exceeded every expectation, and we would not hesitate to book with her again. If youâre looking for someone who is dependable, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond, Michelle is the one. Thank you again for everything! We are so grateful.â

âBarbara has taken excellent care of both of anxious/reactive big dog, and our home while we have been out of town. She is reliable and so helpful, I never have concerns leaving Rocky in her care. I recommend her to anyone looking for care for their pups!â

âCara cared for my senior dog, Frito, while I was out of town for the weekend. She sent me regular updates and pictures, which were greatly appreciated. She also administered his oral medications and took him for lots of walks. I felt like Frito was in good hands the entire time, which allowed me to enjoy my friend's wedding celebration. Frito was also in good spirits when I got back! I will be sure to contact Cara for any future dog-sitting needs.â
âChloe was amazing!! They stayed with my senior cat for a week and kept my all my plants (indoor and outdoor) alive and thriving. They were very communicative and detail oriented also sent pictures and updates morning and night. The house looked even better then when I left it and my cat didnât even seem to notice I was gone. I would definitely recommend Chloe for any of your pet or plant needs! Thank you Chloe!!â

About: I offer a quieter, more individualized kind of dog sitting. I only take dogs from one household at a time, so your dog wonât be sharing the space with a rotating group of other dogs. That allows me to give them a lot of individual attention and to keep their routine as familiar as possible. Iâm a licensed acupuncturist and a therapist in training, so being reliable and observant is a big part of my professional life. Iâm also very conscientious about following your instructions closely. I know how much the little details matter, and I make a point of keeping track of feeding schedules, medications, walks, sleeping arrangements, and the routines that help your dog feel at home. I have firsthand experience caring for an anxious dog who later developed dementia and physical limitations. Because of that, Iâm especially comfortable with senior dogs and dogs who are sensitive or easily overwhelmed. I understand how much patience and consistency can matter when a dog needs extra support. Iâm especially available on weekends, when I can spend plenty of time with your dog rather than fitting visits around a packed schedule. Depending on their personality and energy level, we might have a quiet day at home, take neighborhood walks, or head out to places like Piedmont Park, the Albany Bulb, or the beach. I want your dog to feel comfortable and cared for while youâre away, and I want you to feel completely confident that someone is really paying attention to them. Pet care fits best into my schedule on weekends, when I have plenty of time to give dogs attention, walks, companionship, and a relaxed home environment. Iâm generally available from Friday evening through Sunday and can often accommodate weekend boarding or daytime care. During the week I work a regular professional schedule, so Iâm intentional about only accepting bookings when I know I can provide the time and attention a pet needs. When a dog is staying with me, I want them to be part of my routine rather than squeezed into it. I take safety and trust seriously and make a point of following each petâs normal routine as closely as possible. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment and make sure dogs have appropriate supervision, regular walks and potty breaks, fresh water, and plenty of attention. Iâm careful about feeding instructions, medications, leash safety, and any behavioral or health concerns you share with me. I also like to know about a dogâs personality, triggers, routines, and preferences ahead of time so I can help them feel comfortable and settled. If Iâm caring for a pet in your home, Iâm respectful of your space and follow your instructions closely. Iâm also happy to send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while youâre away.
âTami had a GREAT connection with Lucy. She quickly figured out Lucy's personality, her likes/dislikes, favorite activities (going to the beach) and also the ins and outs of my apartment and building. Tami did a wonderful job of sending me pictures at least twice a day so that I could feel at peace that my girl was happy and being taken good care of.â

âOur puppy Murphy is a big energetic boy who loves to get into mischief. Kat did a great job with him, and he was a happy boy when we got home. Since this was our first time leaving him with someone else, I was very relieved that he did so well with her. I would definitely trust her again to watch our boy!â

âAngela was great. Above and beyond, especially in responding to a few schedule curve balls. Great communication and only about important questions about Frida. Highly recommend!â

âRidhi was super helpful taking care of my pup. My flight was delayed and she stepped up to pick up Frida from another location and bring her home. I was incommunicado on a flight and she just did it without me asking or booking it or anything like that because she's that just kind of person. Totally above and beyond!â

âDennis is wonderful and we canât wait to work with him again. He took great care of Bruno and our home. Dennis provided photos and updates on Bruno while we were away and our home was spotless when we arrived home. Highly recommendââ
âLauraâs first time dog sitting for us went smoothly. This was an overnight trip. She sent us photo updates and was responsive when we texted to check in. When we got home, the house was tidy, their water bowls were filled, and Cannoli and Da Vinci were in good spirits. Weâve booked Laura for an extended stay while weâre on an international trip. Thanks, Laura!â

âIf there were 6 stars, I'd give them to Hollie. She is the epitome of conscientious, responsible, and caring. Our flight home was delayed and she even changed her plans so she could stay longer. Our shih tzu loves being with her - from a drop-in walk to a 3-night stay - and we're eager to have Hollie back as soon as our next need arises. I cannot recommend this sitter more highly.â

âI had Esteban house sit to look after my big, rambunctious dog Sable for 6 days. Not only did Esteban take amazing care of my dog, he left the house in incredible condition. All my dogâs needs were met, and he sent regular pupdates. Iâm a very anxious person and it was my first time using Rover, but Esteban put me at ease and I am so glad I decided to go with him. I would 100% use Esteban again if I ever leave town. I believe itâs safer and easier on my dog than boarding her at a dog hotel. You da man, Esteban!â

âAgnes was taking care of my cat Fritz for a week and it was the first time I booked them. I was very happy with them and my cat too. Agnes is very responsive and they gave me every day feedback. Definitely can recommend them.â

âMatt is always great with our dog, Elliott. He was very responsible with Elliott's medication schedule and attentive to his emotional needs. I'll be re-booking Matt for our next trip as well. Thank you, Matt!â

âWow! What an incredible sitter Hong was. This is the first time I have ever been away from my fur babies and not worried once. She was so communicative the entire time and I came back to happy dogs and a pristine house. If I could give her 10 stars I would! Thank you again Hong. â¤ď¸â

âKasey is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cares about animals. She cared for our 3 cats and stayed at our home while we were overseas for a couple weeks. We felt comfortable the entire time, honestly the most relaxed weâve ever been leaving our cats. This was hands down the best catsitting experience weâve had. Highly recommend! We will be booking her for future sits.â

Lucy is such a warm and attentive pet sitter for my puppy, and I am so glad to have found her! She is punctual, professional, responsive, and happy to share information about her time with my pup. She also clearly knows so much about animals, I feel great about leaving my fur baby with her. She is gentle and kind with my sensitive dog, and she truly seems to enjoy being with her, which feels great! Highly recommend Lucy!

Haniya took care of our 2 kitties and pup overnight. She was very communicative, sending photos and updates and quick to text back when we reached out. Haniya was great managing all 3 of the pets and their needs, including giving insulin and oral medicine to one of our kitties and a pill to our pup. We came home to happy animals and a clean home!

We originally had Maya walk our golden retriever and she did an excellent job with that so we decided to have her dogsit when we went out of town. We've now had her dogsit for us twice and she's done an absolutely perfect job both times. We come home to a clean house and happy dog every time.

Robert stayed in my home and took care of our dog Llama for about a week and a half. It was our first time using him as a sitter for Llama, and everything went great. Robert was very thorough and detailed in our meet and greet, and Llama took to him right away. He also offered to come and do a test walk with us before we left on our trip which was awesome. He was responsive and sent updates each time we asked. Llama was very well cared for and stress free when we arrived back home. We would definitely recommend Robert to anyone looking for a sitter for their pup (or other critter)

Summer was amazing! Our shy dog had a wonderful time going on long walks and hikes and getting lots of belly rubs. Summer also kept us reassured with great, open communication and lots of pics of our dog and two cats, which we greatly appreciated. We highly recommend!

Alyssa was absolutely amazing. She is so kind and communicative and sends a lot of pictures. She took care of my baby stitch for about 3 weeks and also came into do drop in visits for my cat and she took care of them as her own. She is so sweet and patient and you can tell she truly loves animals and has a great bond with them. I would definitely recommend and will be booking with her again in the future. No issues at all sheâs great in every sense.

We are so grateful we found Tommy! He stayed overnight to take care of our 2 kitties and pup. One of our cats has a lot of health conditions, and it's a bit of a complicated routine. Tommy was able to give insulin and multiple medications during the stay. He was an excellent communicator and we felt safe knowing he was with our babies.

As of September 2026, there are 8,750 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Piedmont. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Piedmont walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Piedmont maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Piedmont choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
