Hi, I’m Sophia! I made Oakland my home almost four years ago! I’ve been around animals my whole life and feel passionate about pet care and wellbeing. Walking and interacting with the dogs I’ve had has always been incredibly rewarding for me, and I want to bring my enthusiasm for animal care to others! I provide dog walking and drop-in services, with an emphasis on exploration and adventure. I love finding new walking routes and love exploring the city and trails in the Berkeley and Oakland hills. For drop-in’s I offer a personalized experience for each pet, and aim to ensure that by the time I leave they’re as happy as can be. Thanks so much for considering me to be a dog walker and caregiver for your doggo or kitty. I can’t wait to explore and learn with your pet.

I value creating a calm but clear environment for all the animals I work with. I have experience training dogs in easy commands (sit, stay etc) and always communicate with the client about how to best communicate with their dogs, as well as any stickier behaviors that I should be aware of while caring for their pet.

Sophia did a great job caring for our dog and cat while we were out of town for a couple nights. We appreciated her proactive and thorough communication and the updates she sent! She bonded quickly with our dog who is not always great with new people. She also gave a lot of tlc to our cat. Our house was spotless when we got home which was so nice to return to! Would definitely recommend Sophia and work with her again!
Sophia did incredible with our dog, Bryn. She sent daily pictures and was very attentive with all the complicated instructions I gave. Bryn seemed very happy when we came home and he got more walks with Sophia than he usually gets with me. I highly recommend Sophia, we'll be rebooking soon!
Sophia was fantastic! We had a last-minute change in weekend travel plans and decided to leave our pups at home. She was able to do a meet-and-greet on short notice, and our dogs loved her right away - which immediately put us at ease knowing they’d be in good hands. Sophia stayed in our home with our 12-year-old dog and 9-month-old puppy, sent regular photo updates, and we came back to a spotless house and two very happy pups. We will absolutely book with Sophia again!
She was so patient and fantastic with my baby girl, Bella. Bella seemed to be in great spirits after my trip and I appreciate the consistent updates from Sophia. I would book her again :)

Programa
I work from home full-time and am available for walks during the day. I mostly work an east coast schedule so am always down to go on a mid-afternoon hiking/trail adventure with your pup!
