We did a meet and greet before dropping Dobby off, which I think was very helpful and put Dobby at ease when we finally dropped him off. They were very kind and attentive to Dobby’s needs. I was concerned about Dobby staying in someone else’s house with another dog because he is a rescue and he’s kind of skittish, but Dobby and Mia got along really well. Nikita sent me daily updates and photos and that was very reassuring. I also really appreciated the fact that they took Dobby out on hikes and walks with them. That was a real plus, since Dobby is an active dog. I would highly recommend Anthony and Nikita to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. I know how much the little details matter, and I make a point of keeping track of feeding schedules, medications, walks, sleeping arrangements, and the routines that help your dog feel at home. I have firsthand experience caring for an anxious dog who later developed dementia and physical limitations. Because of that, I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs and dogs who are sensitive or easily overwhelmed. I understand how much patience and consistency can matter when a dog needs extra support. I’m especially available on weekends, when I can spend plenty of time with your dog rather than fitting visits around a packed schedule. Depending on their personality and energy level, we might have a quiet day at home, take neighborhood walks, or head out to places like Piedmont Park, the Albany Bulb, or the beach. I want your dog to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away, and I want you to feel completely confident that someone is really paying attention to them. I'm happy to echo all the great things that have been written in other reviews of Jeff and Beth's dog-sitting paradise! Our golden retriever, Kanga, loved the park-like yard from the moment she entered. And it was clear from the photos Jeff sent that Kanga got lots of extra outdoor fun every day in Redwood Park. Photos also showed that Kanga got lots of love from the kids in the household :) Logistics were easy - a meet-and-greet meeting was set at my convenience, as were drop-off and pick-up times. Beth was out of town so I didn't get to meet her, but Jeff set me at ease right away with his good organizational skills and his obvious love of dogs. We highly recommend Jeff and Beth's and look forward to returning!
Maia was wonderful with Mishka. I can tell she is very thorough and took great care of him. She also sent me updates and lots of pics everyday without me asking for them first. I know Mishka was in good hands with her and will def use her again. She’s also very flexible with drop off and pick up and has great communication.
Jiaxi was great! My family and I had a last minute need for a sitter. Thankful that Jiaxi was not only able to accommodate and be flexible, but he also took great care of our dog Zora while providing updates and pictures. Will definitely plan to rebook in the future.
I left my big 80 lb German Shepherd Prince and he loved his time. He stayed for 4 days and we received updates and was able to face time him so he can hear us. She was able to handle his dog reactivity and I could tell he enjoyed himself and was loved by the family! Will definitely be booking again!

Hy and Arlo took great care of our dog, Sadie, while we were out of town. We got regular updates with many pictures that kept us confident that Sadie was comfortable and settling in. Hy was proactive in acknowledging the heat wave with us and that she’d be careful to not take Sadie out when it was too hot, which I really appreciated. We look forward to having Sadie stay with them again!
