Kelly is the best sitter ever! My spoiled, high energy Yorkie is treated like the prince that he thinks he is when staying at Kelly’s house. He gets lots of attention, special treats, individual playtime, and has a lot of fun. I highly recommend Kelly.

Sherry is an AMAZING dog sitter!! I trusted her to care for my sweet but nervous 50lb girl, Ellie, and I could not have asked for a better sitter. Sherry was so thorough, she sent plenty of updates throughout and put me at ease! She was super responsive to my dog’s needs, and I could see Ellie just melting and falling in love with her through the updates. She’s got a lovely, clean and safe apartment and she is obviously someone who knows dogs well. I would trust Sherry with dog sitting ANY day! Highly recommend.

Mochi can be nervous around new people and dogs, and Lee made sure she was comfortable and safe in her care. Lee is also super communicative and responsive, and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend her!

Marlene did an excellent job of communicating about MacGuyver's issues while we were away, for which we were very grateful. It was obvious Marlene loved our special needs dog very much (he's blind) and she did her best to walk him twice a day despite him not wanting to walk. (He needed the exercise to get tired and sleep). We will definitely hire Marlene again; her personality is super gentle and kind. Her apartment was impeccably clean every time I visited (3 times). THANK YOU MARLENE!

My 11-year-old male boxer stayed with Jeff and Beth and their kiddos May 17-20, 2025. It was his second time with them (would have been the third, but they were unavailable the second time I tried). This family will always be my go-to host for my beloved old dude. Their property is dog heaven--a hill to climb on and a patio to sun on. Jeff and Beth allow him on the furniture and in the kitchen, where he enjoys helping with meal preparation. He gets plenty of socializing with other dogs, and he loves children, and gets cuddles, walks and human attention too. Beth and Jeff are wonderful about sending photos and text updates throughout the day. They are also proficient at administering meds. I commend them to you with great pleasure.

About: I have over 30 years of experience caring for animals, including dogs, cats, and rabbits. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom of 2 (ages 3 & 6) with a very open schedule that allows me to go above and beyond for my furry friends! Our home offers a luxurious 3600sf of comfy indoor space, 3 wraparound view decks for birdwatching, sunbathing and cooling off (dogs welcome in our kiddie pool!), and a fully fenced backyard for sniffs and exploration. We're currently a pet free household and only accept one client at a time to ensure your pet has our full attention, a true vacation experience, and LOTS of love. My husband and I are both experienced caregivers of puppies, senior dogs, brachycephalic breeds, and dogs with special needs. Our kids love animals and are eager to help with feedings, walks, games and snuggles, but also know when to step back and give our furry friends space and peace. I'm an avid hiker, gardener, and nature lover, so if your dog loves to hit the trail and go on adventures, I'm always looking for a side kick! Or, if your pup just likes to chill and snack, I get that too, and I'm here for it ☺️ Looking forward to connecting! I generally don't have a schedule. This means that instead of fitting your dog's needs into my schedule, I create a schedule around your dog! Your dog will be treated like an honorable guest and loved like a member of our family. Safety is always our number one priority, and as such your pet will always be closely supervised, protected and guarded from dangers. Because we have young children, all dangerous household items are always locked away. As a gardener, I'm cognizant of what plants are toxic vs edible and will always keep an eye on your pet to ensure they're not getting into anything dangerous. If I bring your dog on adventures or errands, they will always stay right by my side and will never be left in a car, tied up, or in any other unsafe situation. And lastly, we take "gentle hands" and respecting animals VERY seriously in our household, so even our most fragile senior guests can enjoy a peaceful, relaxing stay.

She was very understanding of my dog’s shyness/anxiousness, and based on the photos she sent it looked like they had a great time. She was very communicative, and her neighborhood was great for quiet walks and visits to the park.

This was my first time using Rover and Asha made it such an easy and pleasant experience. She allowed us to come by to meet her dog and see the space before committing to ensure our dogs would get along (my dog isn’t around other dogs very often). She was very nice as well as responsive, and I didn’t feel overly anxious leaving our dog with her for 2 weeks. I’d occasionally message for updates and she’d quickly get back to me with a photo and letting me know how things were going or asking any questions she had ti make the adjustment easier for everyone. At pick up my dog seemed happy and in good health and her transition back home was easy (unlike when we boarded her in the past). If Asha will have Birdie back, I’d definitely book with her again!

Very kind and caring daughter and mother! They really took the time to let my nervous dog adjust during the meet and greet, listened carefully and asked questions. I also appreciate that they care about safety. My dog is quite nervous, but by the second day of boarding she was getting comfortable and showing more of her bouncy personality. They were communicative around feeding instructions and coordinating the meet and greet, drop off, and pick up. I would recommend Thais and Marlene! Thank you for your help taking care of Amber!

Tamara is a fantastic dog sitter!! She watched my 10 month old golden retriever pup for a week, and my dog had an awesome time playing with Tamara's dog, Sidney; running around in the yard; and getting lots of attention and snuggles. Tamara was very communicative and sent plenty of photos and updates. As an experienced sitter and dog owner herself, she also had useful advice to offer, which is great because this is our first dog. Tamara has a lot of gear so we really just had to bring our pup's food and leash over, which was a nice bonus. Our pup came home happy and well cared for, and can't wait to go back!

As of July 2026, there are 6,078 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Piedmont. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

92% of Piedmont sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Piedmont landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Piedmont home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Piedmont.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
