🐾 Pet care is a central part of my daily life. I’m taking the summer off from corporate work to focus fully on dogs, and I’m home most of the time, allowing me to provide constant attention and supervision. Each day starts with potty breaks and a calm introduction to the outdoor space, followed by breakfast, interactive play, walks, and cozy couch time. I keep a structured routine with regular potty breaks, enrichment activities, and downtime to make sure every pup—whether energetic or more relaxed—feels safe and cared for. With my two resident senior dogs, Carl and Midge, I incorporate bonding time with them as well, creating a calm and inclusive environment. Special-needs pups, including those on medications or with health concerns, receive personalized attention throughout the day. If I ever need to step out for more than a quick errand, a trusted friend comes by to supervise so the dogs are never alone.

🩺❤️🐾 I like to know a bit about your pet before they stay, so I can make them comfortable and happy. Useful info includes their usual routine, diet, medications or health concerns, allergies, personality traits, favorite toys or activities, and any quirks or fears. Pet care experience

🐾💖 🐾 Hi, I’m Lee—a lifelong dog lover based in Oakland, CA. My home is designed with small dogs (≤15 lbs) in mind, featuring cozy lounging spots and a large, secure backyard with new turf—perfect for play and sunbathing. As a remote worker, I'm home most of the day and ensure dogs are never left alone for long; if I step out for more than an hour, a trusted local friend comes over to care for the pups. 🐕 Dogs 🐕 in my care are treated like family—they’re welcome on the furniture, receive tons of love, and enjoy a tailored experience that includes playtime, gentle walks, enrichment activities, or plenty of couch snuggles. 🌈 I take extra pride in working with shy, senior, and special-needs pups, making sure every dog feels safe, seen, and spoiled. 🏡 A Typical Day in My Care 🏡 Each day begins with attentive potty breaks and a gentle introduction to the fresh turf, allowing pups to explore at their own pace. After a nourishing breakfast, we engage in a balanced mix of interactive play, affectionate cuddles, and serene indoor relaxation. Dogs are encouraged to bask in the sun, frolic with toys, or curl up on the couch with me and my two friendly senior resident pups, Carl and Midge. 📅 Throughout the day, I maintain a structured routine that includes regular potty breaks, stimulating backyard activities, leisurely neighborhood walks, and ample downtime. This thoughtful schedule ensures a calm and enjoyable atmosphere, tailored to each dog's individual needs. 🌙💤 As evening approaches, we wind down with more outdoor time, gentle bonding on the couch, and a peaceful night, ensuring every pup feels secure and cherished. 🩺 Experience with Special-Needs Pups 🩺 I have extensive experience caring for dogs with various special needs, including: - Medication Administration: Both oral and injectable medications. - Blindness & Deafness: Adapting communication and environment for comfort. - Diabetes: Monitoring and managing dietary needs and insulin schedules. - Incontinence: Providing regular potty breaks and maintaining hygiene. - Heart Failure: Observing for symptoms and ensuring a low-stress environment. ⭐ I approach each pup with patience, empathy, and a commitment to their well-being, ensuring they receive the personalized care they deserve.

Lee was great with my dog, Phoebe! I had only had Phoebe for about a month and a half before leaving for 2 weeks, and Lee was very gentle and accommodating to her to make her feel safe. Would highly recommend and I would definitely call on Lee again for extended stays.
