About: My experience caring for animals goes back to childhood. At 13, I had my own horse in the Oakland Hills, and my first job was caring for horses at the stable to help pay for his board. Animals have been an important part of my life ever since. Years later, my Australian Cattle Dog, Taz, became one of my greatest teachers. He came to me as a highly reactive rescue, and I developed a structured behavior-modification plan using positive reinforcement, consistency, exercise, and careful attention to his triggers. With patience and years of dedicated training, he made tremendous progress and went on to live a long, happy, and deeply loved life. That experience gave me a strong understanding of canine body language, behavior, enrichment, and the importance of structure and trust. I’m comfortable with senior dogs, rescue dogs, high-energy breeds, and dogs who may need some extra patience. I know that every dog is an individual, and I take the time to understand their personality, routines, boundaries, and quirks. I’m also a professional artist, and animals are a big part of my creative work—I especially love drawing pet portraits and caricatures. Working independently gives me flexibility in my schedule and allows me to give the animals in my care focused attention. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or pet sitting, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, engaged, and genuinely cared for. I take the responsibility of looking after someone else’s animal seriously, while making sure we have some fun along the way. I work independently as an artist, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive pet care. I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and will work with you to maintain your pet’s normal routine. I believe pets do best when their normal routines and boundaries are respected. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, body language, comfort level, and individual needs. I use patience and positive reinforcement and prioritize safety on walks and during visits. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated so you know how your pet is doing.
