“Wenxin took wonderful care of Moscow! She kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, and it was clear that Moscow received lots of attention and outdoor time. If we ever need a sitter again, we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her!”

“Hope is a wonderful dog sitter. She follow all my instruction to take care my dog. She even sent me photos to see hows she’s doing. She even took her a long walk. She got along with my dog”

“If I could give 6 stars I would. Kianna and the kids treated Charlie with care and kindness. They played til he dropped. Normally when I pick him up from days care, he’s ready to go, not today. I think he was upset he was leaving. :) I will be booking again. Thank you Kianna.”

“Kelly was wonderful with my pup Mochi, and easy to communicate with. I just got Mochi (a rescue) a couple of weeks ago so I was nervous about leaving him for the day but Kelly was very reassuring and Mochi had a great time!”

About: I am compassionate about dogs and truly want them to enjoy themselves in my home. As an animal shelter volunteer at OAS, I am particularly experienced in helping shy dogs relax! I WFH from Monday to Friday, so I provide breakfast and a AM walk just before I start my work day. During the work day, I provide potty breaks in my private, fully fenced yard. After work, I can provide a PM walk, dinner, and evening cuddles! Your pup will have my 15lb dog as a buddy during the day. I WFH for 5 days a week, and my husband WFH for 2 days a week. The dogs have access to a fully fenced private backyard to play and sunbathe.
“Eve was absolutely amazing. She took so many videos of my puppy Aurora. She’s so sweet and quirky. We hung out for a little while after I picked up my puppy and we just laughed and got to know each other. It was an overall amazing experience from her charisma to the way that she absolutely loves dogs as if they were children.”

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. Over the years, we helped rescue and rehome thousands of animals, many of whom came from difficult or traumatic situations. caring for animals feels completely natural to me. I do not see pets as “just animals.” I genuinely believe they are family members who deserve love, patience, emotional safety, and respect. In many ways, I believe animals carry one of the purest forms of unconditional love, and sometimes they deserve even more kindness and gentleness than humans receive. I have experience caring for pets with very different personalities, medical conditions, and emotional needs, including senior pets, rescue animals, anxious dogs, and cats requiring medication and special routines. I am highly attentive to behavioral changes, feeding routines, emotional comfort, cleanliness, and creating calm environments where animals feel safe and relaxed.
“My sweet puppy was warmly welcomed by Emily and her 2 daughters. Emily has a dog who got along beautifully with my puppy! When I picked up my pup she was happy to have had such good care. Emily sent me pictures of the two dogs. She communicated well with me both in person and by text. I will most definitely ask her again to watch my pup!”

About: I have had dogs in my house my whole life. Wether that be family pet dogs, friends dogs or foster dogs. I have always enjoyed taking care and providing a comfortable space for them I'm currently unemployed and will have lots of time to look after your pet. I like to get out at least 1-2 times a day for a walk and take breaks where I can play with your dog if they want I have a yellow lab named gertie who is very friendly and gentle with other dogs. She loves to play tug and bitey face if your dog is into that. I also have crate if needed and an extra bed for them to sleep on
“Lucas was able to take my little dog Peanut for the day on very short notice - really appreciated it! He (Peanut ;) was a bit nervous at first but I knew he was in good hands. Lucas is very responsive and clear in communicating, and he has a calmness with the dogs that really seems to put them at ease. I highly recommend him!”

“Such a sweet, attentive, and accommodating couple. My pup absolutely loved being under their care and didn’t want to go home! Highly recommended and will be our go to in the future. Thank you Radha!!”

“We were worried about leaving our new puppy for the first time, but Alisha set up a Zoom so we could meet her the day before and it was immediately obvious that she would take great care of our little guy. Then, when we dropped him off, he practically jumped into her arms and made himself at home in the space she has set up which is perfect for doggy guests. She sent us updates and pics throughout the evening. We are very glad to have Alisha nearby for the future. I especially appreciate her depth of knowledge -- she is a great resource for those of us who have limited experience with raising puppies!”

“Very impressed with Hong! We had a last-minute change of plans and needed a sitter for our girl Spoon, and Hong was absolutely amazing. She cared for Spoon like she was her own, which gave us so much peace of mind. She’s incredibly thorough and keeps us updated throughout the day—even down to every bowel movement—which we really appreciated. We’re so grateful to have found her and will definitely keep booking with her. Highly recommend! 🤍”

About: I’ve spent my entire life caring for dogs, starting with my childhood pets and continuing with my own as an adult. My passion for animal care led me to work at my local animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience supporting dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have extensive experience working with everything from young puppies to adult dogs with behavioral challenges, and I take pride in providing compassionate, thoughtful care that helps each dog feel safe, happy, and understood. I currently have open availability and can easily accommodate pet care opportunities into my schedule. I’m an early riser—typically up by 6 AM—and ready to start the day, making me flexible and reliable for morning routines and other time-sensitive needs. I have a secure, fenced-in yard that dogs will have access to during their stay. I never leave them unattended and enjoy spending time outdoors with them to ensure they feel safe and engaged. Each day includes 2–3 walks, and I always care for your pets as if they were my own—providing them with love, attention, and a structured routine.

About: For boarding, my house as a large yard for any dog to run around in. For walking, I likely spoil any dog with treats if allowed Currently as I look for new job opportunities, I am available most days to look after your dog. I have a fairly flexible with my schedule and able to pick up and drop-off if nearby. I have a 45lb german shephard that is calm when indoors. If weather is nice then I will let the dogs run around in a fenced in yard. I would like to introduce them just to be safe, but my dog is friendly with all dogs.
About: Hi! We are Angelina and Xavior & we are here to be your fur baby’s new favorite sitter! We joined Rover in 2018 & have met so many amazing fur babies & pet parents! I (Angelina) have been taking care of different animals since I was about 9 years old, however as of 5 years ago I’ve started to work with pets in a more professional setting. I started at a doggie daycare, until moved to a training & boarding kennel. The owner also did have a dog rescue as well. There I worked with one of the best dog trainers in Northern Virginia for almost 2 years & learned a lot not only about dog training but also working with rescue pups & how it sometimes can be a bit different! After that I worked at an SPCA location with rescue pups & kitties! We relocated to Atlanta for a while where we continued to do Rover & I also worked at another doggie daycare/kennel/rescue hybrid! Aside from this I do also have a dog training certification as well as a grooming certification. We both have experience with a variety of animals including but not limited to dogs, cats, cows, goats, horses, reptiles, birds, rodents, etc. We hope this gives you a bit more Insight on us both & we can’t wait to hear from you! I recently made the decision to work on rover full-time as I love being able to provide at-home care for your fur babies that cannot board in a kennel-like-environment. Pet care will always fit in perfectly to my routine! We will always follow your pet’s typical routine unless otherwise requested. We know how stressful it can be for both the pet & pet parent, which is why your baby is always our top priority. Whether it is a drop-in, quick walk, or month long stay we make sure to give your baby lots of love while their you are away! We have a dog who is quite the social butterfly! If your baby also loves to make friends she would be a great addition to keeping us company!
About: Hi! I have been taking care of pets for 5 years, including my own dog! I have cared for a wide range of dogs from puppies to bullmastiffs. I have taken dog training courses with my dog through the Berkeley humane center, I’m ready to practice tricks with your dog:) I am a sophomore and still undecided on my major, I also work part time. I spend most of my free time working on my art which is very flexible. Dog sitting fits in around those activities easily! I treat every pup like my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well-cared for while you're away. I always follow your instructions carefully, keep things tidy, and give your dog plenty of love, attention, and exercise. You can relax knowing your furry friend is in trustworthy hands! Want to tweak it to sound more casual, professional, or fun?
“Yukon is an amazing host! We couldn't have asked for anything more. She took great care of our Lady bug. Gave us timely updates with pictures after walks, meals, and poo breaks. Lady also enjoyed hanging out with her fellow schnauzers. I highly recommend their services and plan to be repeat clients!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kensington
My former Rover professional recently retired and I had to find a replacement. I was so, so glad I found this pair to watch my treasured Kyle. I have been interacting with Lucas. He is always prompt in meeting me when I drop off Kyle and when I pick him up. During our Meet and Greet Lucas showed me his home and doggie-perfect back yard. I was impressed. He also spent some time with me introducing me to the six other dogs that were there. The meeting was informative and a good chance for the two of us to see how Kyle fit in. Lucas is a true professional. He couldn't be better.

While visiting the Bay Area, we were lucky to find Yagmur. Montague had fun daycare visits with Yagmur for a few days. She kept us up-to-date during his stays with her, sending photos regularly and providing other updates on his other activities. We got a bit late picking him up one evening, Yagmur was the most accommodating about it. We highly recommend her for your dogs daycare or boarding needs. It was absolutely lovely for us and we would use Yagmur’s services again.

We were worried about leaving our new puppy for the first time, but Alisha set up a Zoom so we could meet her the day before and it was immediately obvious that she would take great care of our little guy. Then, when we dropped him off, he practically jumped into her arms and made himself at home in the space she has set up which is perfect for doggy guests. What a blessing to have found Nicole ! All I can say is that she cared for and loved Petunia like her own. That's the greatest quality I could ask for in a pet sitter. She is the best. Petunia ran into her home and pressed up against Nicole's legs and feet as soon as she met her. Smitten pup = smitten mom.

Claudia is wonderful! Olive is anxious and has some separation anxiety. Claudia took time out of her own day to meet Olive ahead of her doggy day care and it made all the difference. Olive had a great time and I received plenty of updates/photos throughout the day. Definitely recommend!

We hired Priya for a night out for our 7 month old puppy. We have never done this before. It was obvious she had tons of experience as Maggie took to her immediately. They went on a walk and Priya sent us a video with training tips for her specific needs. She was on time and very responsive. Thank you for being awesome Priya! 🐶😜👍

Juyeon was such a pleasure! She was always quick to respond and was very thorough when asking about Lili’s needs. She sent many updates during the day about Lili and reassured me that she was doing well while I was gone. I will be using Juyeon in the future when I need someone to watch Lili!

Camille is truly a dog lover. After our dog Hazel came back from her care, she was eating well and acting just like her normal self—which tells me Camille showered her with lots of love and attention. It gave us so much peace of mind to know Hazel was in such good hands. Next time we’re in Berkeley, we’d be more than happy to trust Hazel with Camille again! Thank you!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Kensington commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
