“Rachael was AMAZING! Your fur babies are in great hands with her. She was extremely attentive to all the special care our senior kitty needed, was quick to reply and easy to get ahold of, and did a fantastic job with all the little extra house tasks while we were away for a few days. Cannot recommend her enough!”

“Aurelia was AMAZING! She took the best care of Kona and even interrupted her evening plans to check in on him because of his separation anxiety. She left our house so clean and checked in with us daily. Definitely recommend hiring her for your pet care needs!”

“Anny is such an incredible dog and house sitter. She takes such great care, and is great with communication the whole time. This is the second time Anny watched Bowie and the longest we've ever been apart from him. We would do it all again in a heartbeat! Thanks Anny!”

“Sara was wonderful with my seven-month-old Chessie retriever and my 12-year-old Dauchshund! They warmed up to her instantly. Sara sent me lots of pictures and I left home with complete peace of mind that my doggies would be well cared for and they were -I highly recommend Sara!”

“We are so grateful for Tania! She came through for us (on a holiday none the less) and took wonderful care of our dog while we were away. She was thoughtful and communicative and immediately put us at ease. Our dog loved her and even upon her departure he ran out to see if she was still here. We are so appreciative and look forward to booking with her again.”

About: I have always been a huge fan of animals, ever since I was a child. My family has had many dogs throughout the years, as well as cats, reptiles, and even fish at a time. I am very social and respectful of both the owners and the pets, and am looking to help however I can. I just graduated university so I have a lot of free time on my hands and am happy to housesit or take care of pets whenever works best for the owners. A proper balance of love, play, and respect. I make sure my pets know they are loved and cared for, and play with them if they want and let them rest if needed. I am happy to take pets on walks or follow certain procedures or training in order to maintain routine for the pets if necessary as well.
About: For the past 30 years I have been a champion of animal protection, a professional animal care specialist, and an international animal rescuer with a background in holistic pet care. I started my petcare business in 2003 called Royal Pets Holistic Care. Aside from exercise, feeding, grooming, I provide comprehensive holistic care and wellness education. My motto is “We treat your pets like Royalty because they deserve the Royal Pampering.” The mission is to restore our original Harmony and deep Connection between nature and humans. This is achieved through providing holistic wellness care services. Specialized Care for: Pets with a history of abuse or trauma Shy and anxious temperaments International Rescued dogs Hospice, chronically ill, or has medical condition Misunderstood behaviors labeled Geriatric senior pets ESA training and certification for Emotional Support Animals Holistic wellness petcare education Training: Animal Whisperer My personal story of how I became an animal whisperer begins with my own petchildren. I would be happy to tell you how I rescued ESA extraordinaire Snoopy from the Andamans Islands. I grew up in house with a dog and three cats. But it wasnt until I met Summer that my world changed and I became a dog parent. The skills I have in Animal Whisperering and intuitive communication come from my 12 yrs of mothering Summer, whom I rescued from euthanasia list at San Francisco animal shelter. She was truly “unadoptable” due to her severe Post Traumatic Stress disorder symptoms. She always hid underneath covers and never moved. I had to learn how to "speak Dog" to connect with my autistic petchild who never engaged with the world. You can see her laying in my arms in my bio photo. She was my greatest teacher about Love because she was so vulnerable. I went to India to bring back Snoopy, my Indian dog and began rescuing and rehabilitating abused and cats and dogs. This type of thing is a labor of Love and it goes both ways. Animal Rescue: I volunteered for the SPCA Feral Cat Team TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program rescuing and socializing feral cats and finding homes for them. I focus on helping India with their spay/neuter and medical care for street dogs. I coordinated TNR in rural villages and in the Andaman Islands, where my dog Snoopy is from. I coordinated animal rescue for several natural disasters. I have rescued many animals in my lifetime, both dogs and cats, and shared photos in my gallery. Holistic Care: What is it? Holistic Care is about being attuned to the individual needs of each animal. I have 25 years of experience as a Wellness Professional. I help humans and animals to Thrive with healthy lifestyle, harmonious relationships and spiritual wellbeing. I attune to each individual animal’s needs through my honed Animal Whispering skills. I am currently working on expanding my holistic care services and so I have plenty of time to spend with your pet. I am available 7 days a week and weekends. I spend time with your pet observing their personality and getting to know their personality traits. I am fun and play with them a lot. I give them lots of physical affection and I talk to them like they are human. I listen to what they tell me. I have honed animal communication skills from my many years of both rescuing and rehabilitating animals, and as a professional pet sitter/dog walker. I am gentle yet firm when setting boundaries. My philosophy for building trust and safety is being highly attuned to animals and respond to their cues. I make sure to know what the pets' triggers are and provide them with a safe and loving environment, avoiding their triggers as much as possible and being the strong leader of the pack when necessary to create space and strong boundaries.
“Alexandra house sat for my elderly dog Coco for a week (in my home). She was a fantastic sitter. She was communicative, friendly, professional, and easy to work with. She worked with Coco's personality. I think that she is an animal person and it comes through in the great and responsive care she provided while we were away (ditto for her her husband). Her approach definitely put my mind at ease while we were gone. Thanks Alexandra!”

“Maria is terrific. She arrived on time and immediately bonded with our dog. She gave him lots of attention and took him for a walk. When we returned home, he was cuddled up against her. She also kept our house neat and clean. I highly recommend her.”

“Keiki and her son Sunny were fabulous. They came over before hand to meet us and our pup, Cinnamon. This helped us and Cinnamon feel at ease. Sunny had a great way with Cinnamon. During our trip, Sunny checked in with us via text and sent us pics of Cinnamon. We so appreciated the care he gave and attention he gave to Cinnamon.”

“Ashley was great. Her communication before and during the stay was excellent. This was the first time we left the dogs with someone other than family and they did great thanks to Ashley. She was a good guest and left the house very nice. I recommend her highly.”

“Josephine is one of the most reliable sitters we’ve hired in our years on Rover - she’s always responsive & does a very good job with our paraplegic chocolate lab. She takes great photos & I can tell our pup really enjoyed her care & her company whenever they’re together!”

“Spectacular pet sitter! She took are of our two pups, one of whom is quite old (18 years). She communicated frequently and sent pictures. Our old little dog has been slowing down, but after 5 days with Irina, he seems re-energized.”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was about 11! Besides my own adorable dog Daisy I have watched, walked, played with, fed, and fallen in love with countless dogs owned by friends, family, and other clients! I have experience working with large breeds such as Bernedoodles and Huskies as well s small ones like Chihuahuas and Mini Pinschers! I also have experience with senior dogs (my girl Daisy is almost 14!). I love spending time with animals and enjoy being able to give them the attention and care that they deserve! I am a full-time college student at UC Berkeley with a car, so I am readily available to come walk, play with, feed, or even provide overnight care for your pet! It provides a great outlet for me to get some quality time with animals while I'm at school and to give my mind a break from studying! At clients' homes I make sure that pets feel safe and secure while also maintaining a clean and organized household! It is my priority to meet pets needs and keep them happy, comfortable, and entertained in their home environment or outside for walks!
Kensington pet parents share their Rover experiences
Aurelia is such a sweet person! We felt totally at ease having her stay in our home and look after Winston while we were away. When we came home, the house was clean and tidy. We were chatting with Aurelia before she left and Winston lay his head on her feet, rolled over, and gave her his paw, as if to say, “She can only leave if she promises to be back!” Needless to say, Aurelia will be a go-to sitter for us. Book her! She’s great!

Anny/Lucy was fantastic with Benji. She arrived early so we could go over Benji's schedule. She sent us updates, photos and videos and responded to our text messages in a timely manner. We came home to a happy, well taken care of pup! Thanks again Lucy! Looking forward to working with you again!

Jessica was so wonderful with our dog! This was our first time leaving our sweet puppo with a stranger and we were nervous. Jessica made us feel so reassured and went above and beyond to make sure our dog was well cared for and loved. She was super communicative, prompt, and was amazing at sending sweet updates and photos. She even came home early from a dinner when she found out our dog was barking. She did a great job communicating with our neighbors and family members at home since we were out of the country and I was incredibly impressed by her professionalism and timeliness. I would HIGHLY recommend her and look forward to her spending time with our dog again next time we go out of town!

Maria came through for us at the very last second and did a phenomenal job as a live in sitter with my 3 pups. I received daily updates and came home to happy, healthy dogs who weren’t traumatized by a long kennel stay. She took care of my home as well. 10/10 recommend this responsible and caring individual.

Luna is absolutely amazing. She cared for our 3 month old Aussie puppy for 3 days and nights and she came back a better dog! Luna cares so much about the animals in her life and really understands their behaviors and needs. Our puppy had all kinds of undirected energy that was coming out with lots of puppy biting a frustrated barking, and since the stay with Luna and her pack she has really developed more focus and awareness of her behaviors, as have we. We are looking forward to her next stay. Thanks so much!

I wanted to take a moment to share my delightful experience with Martin, who took care of our beloved dogs, Quantum and Jed, during our 10-day vacation in Hawaii. To ensure we had someone reliable, I made reservations with Martin almost six months in advance, knowing how challenging it can be to find a pet sitter during the year-end holidays. We even scheduled a sync meeting the day before our departure to iron out any last-minute details. Martin was incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, both before and during our trip. He sent daily pictures and videos of the dogs, which brought us immense comfort and joy while we were away. Martin followed all the directions provided to him meticulously and even went above and beyond by staying longer on New Year's Eve to ensure the dogs felt safe amidst the neighborhood fireworks. It was no easy feat as the 10-day period was marked by heavy rainfall, yet Martin ensured that both dogs were walked twice a day individually. He also made sure our home stayed clean, and we returned to a spotless house and happy dogs. This level of dedication and care is truly commendable. We would love to have Martin home sit for our dogs again in the future. His exceptional service has earned him our trust and appreciation.

We definitely would recommend Hannah! She house sat for a few days while we were out of the country and took excellent care of our two cats. Everything was done as we'd asked, communication was easy, and Hannah sent really wonderful updates throughout her stay.

Nathan is terrific! He is wonderful with our puppy, a clear communicator, prompt and trustworthy. He house sat at our place with our 12 week old puppy and everything went perfectly. We're having him back and appreciate his professionalism and kindness. Thanks Nathan! Ilo, Louie and Raver :)

Sara continues to do amazing with my senior boy. He’s distant w many people but snuggles her and enjoys her company everytime I’m gone. She has such a warm presence and I couldn’t go anywhere without her help. I feel so comfortable leaving when she’s here and am beyond grateful for her help! The communication is phenomenal and she sends tons of pictures so you know your babies are safe and well loved. Thank you Sara!! You’re an amazing addition to this household!

Laurena gives me peace of mind every time I’m away, knowing my babies and my home are well taken care of. She’s very attentive, keeps a close eye on their health, and makes sure my fur babies are happy and comfortable. I always feel confident leaving them in her care. I highly recommend her!

Dane was amazing and I’m so relieved to have found such a great sitter on our first go at Rover. He’s extremely communicative and took amazing care of both our cat and dog. We received frequent updates and photos and knew both our babies were in good hands. Our dog was extremely well exercised, and Dane went above and beyond to still check in and greet our cat (while giving her space) who doesn’t do well with people. Dane also went above and beyond to leave our house neater than when he first arrived! Would highly recommend Dane, and I’m so glad to know we have a reliable, trusted sitter for future vacations!

Lia is incredible with our dog Llama. This is the 2nd time we have booked her to sit for us in my home, and we will absolutely call her up again next time we need. She is kind, caring, attentive, and respectful. Plus, Llama LOVES her, and we all know that that is the real sign of a good person and caregiver 😊. Would very highly recommend her to anyone needing pup care!!
