About: For two years, I spent over 350 hours volunteering with dogs at the SF SPCA, taking all available dog training courses and earning certifications to work with puppies and dogs of all behavioral levels. I also served as a dog “matchmaker” where I helped clients find their perfect companion. My soft spot has always been for the nervous, shy dogs. I love seeing how time, space, and gentleness can open them up. It was incredible to watch them blossom over a few socialization visits and walks, and even more rewarding to help them find a home that would suit them, and their owners, best. I’ve had dogs myself over the years and am a frequent dog and cat sitter for many of my friends with pets. While my volunteer experience has been dog-focused, I'm equally comfortable with cats (have taken care of a house that had 15!) and have cared for more exotic pets too, including a parrot, hedgehog, and ferrets! I'm available for home visits/care for all animals and currently walks up to a mile. Hazar was wonderful!! She came over ahead of time to meet me and my dog, and I immediately felt comfortable with her. She is very responsive and responsible. She was excellent at communicating both before she came to stay and during her stay. I appreciated the photos she sent of my dog during her time here. She was able to follow all the instructions I had written and took good care of Bella! Hazar is very friendly and kind and I know my dog enjoyed her being there. Kirsten was absolutely amazing! Not only did she take fantastic care of our animals, but she even managed to teach our 100lb dog some much-needed manners. We really appreciated her excellent communication, especially all the cute photos and videos she sent while we were away.
